Watching btvs and early in an episode Buffy accidentally kills her mom's new boyfriend kicking him down the stairs after he physically threatens and attacks her and goes through her things for blackmail, and I thought for most of the episode that we were getting a harsh collision of the fantastical violence of Buffy's double life into her real life and the shock of killing someone who was by all accounts just a human person following the past two seasons of tension in Buffy's life relating to her slayer duties causing her to have to be a worse version of herself and straining her relationship with her mother and the paranoid trigger reflex she has begun to develop, and anyways her mom's new boyfriend was actually a robot made in the 1950s by a divorcee that kidnaps women who look like the dude's ex wife and keeps them in a freaky cellar and drugs them into complacency with cookies laced with ecstasy

It honestly makes me sick to my stomanch that one small mistake can bring out the mob, when all I do is try to spread smiles and connection.
