I love Astrid as an independent character and a strong female character. No really I think she’s amazing! But I do not like how she instantly falls for Hiccup. She use to think of him as useless. She did not want to have anything to do with Hiccup and I believe she just fell for him because he’s the chief’s son, Hiccup is just being a sweetheart (a lot of girls look for that in a boy), and he is changing the world of the vikings in a positive way. I thinks Astrid will be good friends with Hiccup but that is all their relationship should be. Hiccup should find someone who do not have any background history of him and they should first be friends then fall in love.

If it snows nine months of the year and hail the other three, why is it always sunny or partly cloudy during the movie and the television series?

I've been asking this for a while, but are there other kids on the island who are around the same age as Hiccup and the rest of the main cast? I've seen younger children but I have not seen preteens or teenagers on the island.

I honestly think that if Astrid died or almost died at the end of the last HTTYD movie Dreamworks makes it would be really dramatic. I do like Astrid; she’s on my top 3 fave characters, but if she almost die it would have such a dramatic effect on everyone and might make the movie that *much better*. i would totally be able to she people crying, me one of them, and a move that makes you cry is a great movie. :)

i was reading the confessions and it got me thinking: by the end of the movie and in RoB there is almost no evidence of Hiccup’s crush on Astrid. I’m not sure why Dreamworks did that, but I think it was because the 2 are friend now. If anyone has a better suggestion, please tell me!

HTTYD is my ultimate favourite movie. but I never want to watch it because it makes me sad and i cry every time because it upsets me that this story isn't true and Hiccup and Toothless are just animated characters, I hate watching behind the scenes and to make matters worse I'm pathetically in love with Hiccup. I heard my brother and his girlfriend watching HTTYD one night and I cried then as well. I'd give anything for HTTYD to be a true story and for Hiccup and Toothless to exist today

People say that Astrid didn't care about Hiccup in the beggining of the movie, but she DID care. She always paid atention on him. You just have to see the details

My least favorite part about Legend of the Boneknapper is that Hiccup’s eyes are all big and puppy-dog like. It just doesn’t seem right.

In all honesty, as cool looking as Hiccup is going to be for the second movie, I prefer his appearance from the first. What can I say? I have a thing for cute boys over handsome ones!

I was honestly very surprised when I first started watching RoB. I thought they would end up doing the same lousy animation job that they did with the Kung Fu Panda spin off; Legends of Awesomeness, but I think they did pretty good. To me, it's very similar to the movie's quality. At least more so than other spin offs.

Hiccup and Astrid should do it. You can't tell me Hiccup doesn't want to pin her down and fuck her brains out. Haha.

It really annoys me that in Heather Report part 1 Toothless isn’t able to catch the book of dragons. Toothless was flying almost straight down and he is the fastest dragon. Also that book couldn’t weigh more than 3 lbs and was falling flat so it had a lot of drag and Toothless is able to catch up to most PEOPLE falling including adult Hiccup in all of his armour who would easily weigh over 150 lbs and was falling head first. Even if it is an animated show about dragons the physics just doesn’t work out.

I must confess that I don't understand why everyone acts like Hiccup is so weak. I mean-Astrid and Ruffnut and Tuffnut aren't exactly 'buff'. Hiccup, in the movie, could barely pick up a weapon or throw one of those slings, but he still works with Gobber. It's unclear whether or not the other teens also have that privilege. I'm kind of mad about the unknown ages-If Hiccup was 13 in the movie, then it would make perfect sense why he would struggle to lift up those heavy weapons. It bothers me.

I used to love the books to the point my friend was nicknamed Hiccup, I was Camicazi and my other friend was Fishlegs. When the movie came out are friendship was ruined and we dont talk at all anymore. I really don't like the movies because of that and the fact they ruined the books and changed almost everything.
