My huddlebug, 5 1/2, a hard worker and a great son. ๐
Iโve reached that cool/creepy stage of feeling the babyโs elbow go swiping across the inside of my belly. And I can feel its little feet dancing a jig near my hipbone.
The kids and I hung out in the homeschool room listening to the rain and Simon & Garfunkel while playing with our new kinetic sand. It was nice.
"Mom, I heard you were awake so I got up to be with you" So we had chocolate milk and biscotti and waited for the rest of the house to wake while the sun was still tucked behind the hills and the Christmas lights twinkled.
17 weeks last week (note to self- take this week's bump shot) and I've been to the doctor's office all of once. Poor third child, it's just so much harder to get childcare and motivation to go. Don't worry, I scheduled my next appointment. Where they'll do the anatomy scan. Buuuut, we've decided not to find out! It's flying by and yet feels like ages away... Ok, kids crawling on tables and spilling things. This is why I never update this blog. Any spare moment I have is spent showering.
12 weeks
It's weird to be back into the throes of pregnancy again. Not like it was that long ago. But I'm so busy with kids and life that I don't have time to think about how amazing it is that I'm growing a human. It's more like "I have to teach today and I feel like crap". It doesn't feel as real somehow. Even though I've got lots of symptoms to prove otherwise. Speaking of symptoms, this pregnancy feels like a combination of my first two. Sick like I was with Hudson but craving junk food like I did with Hannah. It's true what they say, each one is different. I'm still on the fence about whether we will wait to find out the gender. I don't think I'm that patient. But it would be a fun way to cap off the child bearing years. (:
When it's 100 degrees, we escape to the beach! I'm 11 weeks as of yesterday. Feeling less nauseous overall but my energy has yet to return. Looking forward to the 2nd trimester but also very thankful for this little life inside of me. Now time for my evening routine. Put kids to bed, turn on Netflix. Veg.
Adding another monkey to our tree. Due April 13th (my birthday!)

Love love taking the kids (car) camping. ๐
Grandma came to visit! Highlights included mom and dad going on a day date hike in topanga canyon, cousins play date, Hannah's first mani pedi, and sprinkles cupcakes. We had a blast. Oh, and I saw the Hollywood sign for the first time! Crazy
For the past year or so, Hudson has invented this place called 'Lasim Sasim'. It is full of interesting characters. I can't remember all of their names because they are changing daily. But there is one character who doesn't change, and that's Efim. Efim often times makes bad choices and ends up in jail for 20 minutes for disobeying his mom and dad. He also flies helicopters and has a sister named Herrol. He loves to eat pizza on the roof, but his favorite food is bacon. In fact, everyone in Lasim Sasim loves bacon. There's a bikoo-bako, which I thought was a machine, but now Hudson says she's a worker who plays at the park and hits stuff. I'm sure I'm forgetting all sorts of details, but I wanted to document it before it was another lovely, passing memory of my son's childhood.
Some days I want 5 more just like them. Some days I want to run for the hills. Luckily, today is the former.
I love my crazy, strong willed, all boy little monster.
My two oldest brothers and two of my nephews. March 2015, my brother became an elder at his church. So proud of you, Joel!
Life lately...
Long time gone...
But thought I'd check in to say today was the hardest parenting day of my life. I was hit and kicked by my 3.5 year old no less than 50 times. I am having to rethink everything I've done so far. Being a mom is the hardest thing I've ever done. Also. I'm determined to blog more. Poor Hannah. I've done such a poor job of capturing her life.
Happy 1st birthday, Hannah Rae!
