This blog has basically devolved into mostly random Fire Emblem posts with a sprinkling of my own art, random reblogs, and a bit of D&D shenanigans. My inbox is always open for chatting about FE, Zelda, D&D, and the like. Or if you just wanna ask me anything, that works too.
@hummbirds (aka, this blog) - main blog. General posts by me go here. My art stuff hoes here first. Reblog spam goes here. This is the blog if you want the whole crazy.
@humm-draws - all my art/creative endeavors get reblogged here. If you just want art without random nonrelated reblogs, follow this one.
@humm-plays-games - liveblog for whatever game I am hyperfixated on at the moment and reblogs of any fanart I make as a result of it. There will be spoilers. (Will try to tag for it though)
i dont want to start another project.....but the parasites in me want to start another project..... i dont want to make 3 minute long animatic..... but the PARASITES
when the trope is character who is alive & character who thinks the other is dead (and will probably not find out they’re alive for a good while) so i lowk just cry
To mark the end of All That Hurts Us, I thought I'd make a master post with the character art that was made for it. :)
I made a few, commissioned a few and was blessed with a few gifts, so here we go!
But first, the banner above was a gift from @amelias-calamity-quintet. Check out their stories on AO3 (amelias-hart)!
@doomed-era did a picture of Zelda:
Please check out doomed-era's @alt-triforce webcomic! It's an absolute delight. :)
@hummbirds gave me a picture of Link as a prize for the EH Bingo 2025 edition.
Hummbirds is an amazing artist, you should definitely go see their blog!
@doubtfulloser (another amazing incredible artist!) drew both Link and Zelda!
💬 0 🔁 8 ❤️ 10 · Link of Given! From All That Hurts Us by @karama9 :]
💬 0 🔁 9 ❤️ 19 · Zelda! From All That Hurts Us by @karama9 :]
Please check out @doubtfulloser's blog, and ao3!
@zarvasace drew me a really nice picture of Link and Zelda sharing a snack as part of the EH gift exchange. Check it out on AO3:

And while you're there, I strongly recommend The Hand That Holds the Sword's series!
Thank you so much everyone for the gifts! You've all made me incredibly happy. :D
I also commissioned some art from @nocturnalfandomartist : Link, Zelda, Remiss and Shade done in a LA/EoW style. Noct, you went above and beyond on these and I LOVE them!
Noct also writes! Check out her AO3 (nocturnalfandomwriter).
And then there's mine. This is getting long, so under the cut my stuff goes:
Sketch of Link in pencil:
Young Link and grown Link in colored pencils:
Zelda’s Royal portait:
And finally, a piece I did for Queer Zelink week:
And that's it, at least for now.
A HUGE thank you again to everyone who supported this story at any point, with art or otherwise!
What they don't tell you about writing is that as you write, you discover scenes and entire plots that you hadn't accounted for that need to be written. So you can spend two hours writing and editing only to realise you're further away from the finish line than you thought you were when you started
The time has finally come to share the artwork I made for the Twilight Princess zine: Near Dawn ! It was so fun, I was very inspired to draw these haunting beasts from my younger days…
If you love this game too, the leftover sales of the zine are open ! All proceeds are going to W.O.L.F. Sanctuary :)
After all this time I am now able to share the piece I did for the @neardawnzine !🐺 it was so much fun drawing Ashei❤️ I enjoyed being apart of this zine so much!
LEFTOVER SALES FOR THE ZINE ARE NOW OPEN!!💚
Near Dawn: A Twilight Princess Zine is a for-charity fanzine that both celebrates and honors The Legend of Zelda franchise's beloved 2006...
I cant believe this was already a few years ago since i drew this piece!
My piece made for @neardawnzine a Twilight Princess zine. I tried capturing the ethereal first encounter into the Sacred Grove, easily one of my favourite parts of the game.
some process under the cut~
while looking at actual references from the game, my process also took me into looking at the serene forest paintings by Emily Carr.
I'm not completely satisfied with the final light dappling rendering but next time i'll try tackling it differently.
