John Boyega attending the rally in London’s protest against George Floyd’s death on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2020
On the morning of May 30, 1921, a young black man named Dick Rowland was riding in the elevator in the Drexel Building at Third and Main with a woman named Sarah Page. The details of what followed vary from person to person. Accounts of an incident circulated among the city’s white community during the day and became more exaggerated with each telling.
Tulsa police arrested Rowland the following day and began an investigation. An inflammatory report in the May 31 edition of the Tulsa Tribune spurred a confrontation between black and white armed mobs around the courthouse where the sheriff and his men had barricaded the top floor to protect Rowland. Shots were fired and the outnumbered African Americans began retreating to the Greenwood District.
In the early morning hours of June 1, 1921, Greenwood was looted and burned by white rioters. Governor Robertson declared martial law, and National Guard troops arrived in Tulsa. Guardsmen assisted firemen in putting out fires, took African Americans out of the hands of vigilantes and imprisoned all black Tulsans not already interned. Over 6,000 people were held at the Convention Hall and the Fairgrounds, some for as long as eight days.
Twenty-four hours after the violence erupted, it ceased. In the wake of the violence, 35 city blocks lay in charred ruins, over 800 people were treated for injuries and contemporary reports of deaths began at 36. Historians now believe as many as 300 people may have died. - tulsahistory.org
Watchmen Episode 1 “It’s Summer and We’re Running Out of Ice”
“I’m speaking to you from my heart. Look, I don’t know if I’m going to have a career after this, but fuck that. Today is about innocent people who were halfway through their process, we don’t know what George Floyd could have achieved, we don’t know what Sandra Bland could have achieved, but today we’re going to make sure that won’t be an alien thought to our young ones. Every black person in here remembered when another person reminded you that you were black. So none of you out there, all those protesters on the other side, protesting against what we want to do, protesting against what we want to try and achieve, burn you, this is so vital. I need you to understand how painful this shit is. I need you to understand how painful it is to be reminded every day that your race means nothing and that isn’t the case anymore, that was never the case anymore.” John Boyega at The Black Lives Matter protest in Hyde Park June 3rd 2020
Watercolor Flower Zine - You can buy it HERE
Hey everyone! I’ve put up a download of my watercolor floral sketchbook on Gumroad for a couple bucks! Check it out if you’d like!
Also! I’ve had a few folks tell me they’d like a physical copy so if you’d like one too let me so I could work to get that printed! That’d be super neat to do! Thanks so much for supporting! I really appreciate y'all! 💖💕
Hi again! I want to bring this back to announce I’m going to donate 100% of the proceeds from this zine to Gianna Floyd and Minnesota’s Black Visions Collective. I would super appreciate if y’all could share, buy and donate if you can!! I wish I could get it printed now!
Additionally, I would like to sell prints of my Brighten! series so I’m working on setting something up so I can sell and get them sent to anybody who’d like to help contribute!
Lastly, I don’t really like to ask for help for myself but if you could buy me a coffee on ko-fi that would be really lovely!

“I felt like sometimes she didn’t want me born. I was like Cinderella—even though I was a dude. She blamed me for everything. Maybe it’s because I was ugly, I guess. Girls were all running from me. My brothers were better looking. When I grew older, it was all about money. Mom and I never discussed anything personal. It seemed like she always wanted something from me. One time I called her crying, because I was trying to quit marijuana, and I felt really depressed. She just told me: ‘You’re wasting all that money on weed. You could be giving it to me instead.” She used to cash my student loan checks. One time she even used my social security number to get a credit card, and I didn’t even know until I got the bill. So I detached myself from her. I stopped answering the phone. Then two years ago she called to tell me she had cancer, and she needed an operation, but I didn’t even answer the phone. I thought she was tricking me again. She left a message, it said: ‘Michael, I’ve been trying to get a hold of you. I love you. And I know you love me.’ And I just ignored it. And she died. And I’m haunted by that. I’ve been trying to write about my life lately, but I can’t get past my mother. I wish I could just start my story with that phone call. With her saying that she loved me. The only other time I ever felt love from her was when I tried crack cocaine. I was a teenager, and I had been using for a couple weeks, and I went in her room to ask for baking soda. She started crying, and she looked scared, and she said: ‘Michael, why do you need baking soda?’ And I felt love at that moment. And it was so strong that I quit doing crack right then. I never used again. I didn’t go to a program or anything. That’s how strong that feeling was.”
25 and it got me excited
bitches dont know about my astiankuivauskaappi
that thing looks ridiculous. Why not just put it in the cabinet above the sink??
Every single finnish person is laughing at you peasants
its a dish drying set up?? im not about to put wet dishes in the cupboard? who does that?
hi
welcome to finland, this exists in every single household in finland
the water is still gonna drip into the bottom of the cabinet??? or onto the dishes below? i would rather let my dishes dry on the counter/above the sink for sure. also i moved to europe this year and lemme tell you i prefer a stack of plates over this vertical bookshelf style arrangement any day, it is annoying as fuck
Did you not notice that there is no bottom shelf? Also it is above the sink so the water won’t drip all over your counter. And I would take water dripping on already wet dishes over them covering all on my counters any day.
It is the exact same thing as the pic in the original post but hidden in a cabinet! :D But whatever question it all you want
things heating up in the adult fandom
You can still stack your plates in the cabinet after they’ve dried, duh
Omg this makes so much sense 🤤 it doesn’t take up limited counter space!!!
Wil, explain :O
Pretty much what was said above. This is an ingenious invention and I can’t believe this is not A Thing worldwide.
Also this could be just something my family did, but I’m always surprised when I visit a friend and discover that after drying, they take the dishes out and put them in a separate cabinet to store. That’s just insane if you live in a small flat with a tiny kitchen.
