She tilted her head up, meeting his dark, intent gaze. A smile, triumphant and coy, played on her lips. “Was I? I was just showing my appreciation.” A thrill, sharp and electric, shot down her spine. Yes. This was exactly what she wanted. She didn’t flinch, didn’t look away. Her smile only widened, a silent admission of her victory, one finger pointing and pressing against his chest, dragging. ❝ I'm being good. Are you?❞
