You're a woman who's never experienced sexism or inequality, so it must not exist, right?

Wrong. When a woman is beaten by her partner and asked what she did wrong, THAT is inequality. When a woman is raped and asked what she was wearing or drinking, THAT is inequality. When a woman loses her access to birth control needed for medical purposes because some men don't think their government is responsible for a woman's safe sex, THAT is inequality. When women without insurance no longer have a place to receive reproductive healthcare, cancer screenings, etc., because the uneducated defund Planned Parenthood because of the small percentage of abortions performed, THAT is inequality. When a woman is genuinely scared to go anywhere alone because she knows the horrible things men will say towards her, THAT is inequality. When a girl is sent home from school for not wearing a bra, because boys can vaguely see the shape of her chest and find it distracting, THAT is inequality. You know there's still a gender pay gap, right? INEQUALITY. If you feel safe, if you're insured, if you are paid enough and have never experienced abuse or rape, then I am so very happy for you - but there is still inequality, there is still sexism, there is still an underlying hatred for women in so so many, and it is NOT okay and it NEEDS to change. This is why women are marching. So when you make your ignorant Facebook posts about "I'm not marching because I've never felt inequality," I pray that you never will, because it fucking sucks.
