King Grant II ("Mad King")

In addition to his managerial skills, he was also interested in alchemy and was quite successful at it, but this could be the beginning of the end not only for the kingdom, but for the whole world. After the terrible events that caused an unprecedented terrible magical disease to appear and spread, King Grant tried his best to calm the fire, but this something seemed to be something beyond comprehension. Few people remember the promising young man who was King Grant 20 years ago. Now it's just a rumor about a Madman who roams the corridors of the floating castle.
She worked as a treasurer for an average-level merchant and was thinking of moving to another city in hopes of the best. During the attack of Abstractions, she managed to pick up one of the guards' halberd, which in the future will help her survive and defend against Abstractions. The small group gradually thinned out until Pomni was left all alone. After that, she was trying to find someone to increase her chances of survival when the next Abstractions attacked. She was found by Caine, taken to the floating castle, and healed.

She was trained in everything a noble lady should know, although she is fascinated by literature, but she was always more interested in horseback riding, which saved her life, because by spending time with her horse, she was able to accidentally avoid the first wave of attacks by Abstractions on their family mansion, and later break away from the creatures. Was found and taken to the flying castle by Caine. As a result of an old incident, she lost one eye, but it fully recovered after Caine's healing, but for some reason it now has a blue-purple color. Ragatha herself has mixed feelings about this.
A native of a small town. They tried themselves as a bartender in taverns and as a blacksmith's apprentice. They always firmly defended their opinions and had a rather skeptical view of things, which once angered a particularly unpleasant sorcerer. As far as they think, it was this nondescript old man who harbored a grudge against them and turned them into this creature, and they have no other ideas. Since then, they had to travel to try to find a way to break the curse or to find that old wizard and give him a good beating. They were lucky to catch the first attack of the Abstractions at night when they were the most sluggish, and later they successfully fought back and avoided the Abstractions several times until they injured their leg. Then they were found by Caine, healed and taken to the floating castle.
She was born in a village where one of the most famous actors in the country came from, and since childhood she also dreamed of going to a big city and enrolling in a theater academy, but whatever dreams there are, the path to them is never easy. Gangle was born into a poor family and did not have enough money to realize her creative ambitions. Due to her appearance, which is considered quite beautiful in her village, she had several marriage proposals, but not wanting to marry without love, she tried in every possible way to cope on her own and eventually got bogged down in a routine, trying to earn enough money as a waitress in a rather unpromising tavern. Nevertheless, she still found a place for her passion for art, even if she does not have enough materials for full-fledged painting, she still manages well with charcoal and often goes to paint in moments of loneliness. This coincidentally helped her avoid the main danger: when her native village was attacked by Abstractions, she was at a distant pond, trying to convey all the colorfulness of the sunset with just black. Unfortunately, upon her return, she still encountered Abstraction, but as they began to slow down, Gangle was able to escape. For a while longer, she managed to avoid the creatures because she unknowingly hid in the darkest places, which could cause the Abstractions to either miss her or become slow enough for her to escape. She was found by Caine near his territory, healed of accumulated minor injuries and taken to the floating castle.
Chimera Red Welsh Dragon derived from a petrified dragon egg and expressed through alchemy as part of King Grant's project to revive extinct dragons. He has an abnormally large amount of magic and has a lot of knowledge in the field of alchemy. Due to the specific growth conditions, he has noticeable distortions in the body structure, and is partially deaf due to the absence of an external ear. Caine has an Amazing level of self-regeneration and is able to spread it to other living beings with the help of his blood. Something bad may happen.
During the spread of the Abstraction disease, he was able to build a floating castle with the surrounding area, which is considered a safe zone because it is beyond the reach of Abstractions. He is engaged in magical and alchemical experiments and also takes care of the people that he loves... collects.
People who have lost their minds and have been exposed to the last stages of infection with "tainted blood". Abstractions are practically mindless creatures, consisting of twisted bones covered with flesh transformed under the influence of ancient cursed blood. It is always in a continuous cycle of decomposition and restoration, which in theory brings constant agony, but it is difficult to say whether the Abstractions feel anything. They roam almost without interruption and attack any moving objects, however, they seem to be able to distinguish between living and inanimate.
Abstractions become especially irritable and aggressive in bright light and, conversely, calm down in the dark, so it is relatively safer to move at night. Some Abstractions can even hibernate if they wander into some dark corners or caves.
All living things infected with Abstractions gradually mutate and disintegrate (except for Caine probably). People turn into the same Abstractions. No pure cure has been found, but Caine is able to completely stop the process of decomposition that begins after infection with Abstraction, but the possibility of Abstraction due to loss of reason still remains.
