the hunters and protectors now hunted and attempting to protect one another. it brought a certain poetic irony, one rumi was not willing to entertain. others weren't supposed to sacrifice themselves for her. if anything, she was supposed to be the sacrifice. she'd always thought eventually when they sealed the honmoon, there was a chance it might take her with it, the forbidden demon blood running through her veins creating more and more marks with each passing year. then, came a greater complication—her mother or what was left of her.
