mm I think for the spin off series it will just be dual pov. I know feysand was supposed to have pov characters sprinkled throughout ACOSF, but they made the decision to just keep it nessian. I’m not exactly against vassien having pov chapters, but for some reason I really don’t think that’ll happen… I know there’s a mythology that had intertwined stories that parallel elriel and vassien, so I can see it…but for some reason I feel like vassien’s complete pov will be given to us through a novella. I also just want it to be from elriel’s perspective because that what they deserve 💔

I would love all 3 books to just be elain and azriels pov but I highly doubt it will be. I think Elains arc will be the central arc of all 3 books but it’s going to be multiple pov. You cannot flesh out Elains story without fleshing out Lucien and their bond. So I think at the very minimum we will get Elain, Lucien and Azriels pov over these books but I think it’s very possible we will get more than that.

I’ve said for years I think Vassien and Elriels story will happen simultaneously and I stand by that.

Ok, the Autumn Equinox thing made me sure that we are NOT getting the official synopsis before September 23, or they wouldn't make a game of guessing the POV/S.

How crazy is that? Are we only going to know who's the main character of this book in its release month?

But at least it all made me hope we'll get the cover until there. Or else they would make a game of guessing the title too.

The way Gwynriels are running with the "new romances" thing and thinking their crackship is confirmed is embarrassing.

The new romances are Elriel and Vassien….

Please read the books and try to add 1&1 together.

I have been saying for yearssss that Elriel and Vassiens story will happen simultaneously and everything we have gotten from BB (if this is all truly hints which it may not be who knows w them at this point)and even the tattoo artist hints has just supported that even more.

I’ve been saying since acosf came out that Lucien will be the one to get his own TOD style book off in the spring court/human lands w Vassa. Acosf set him up exactly for this the way QOS set Chaol up for TOD.

You cannot have Elains story fleshed out with out fleshing out Lucien and dealing with the bond. I have been saying for years I think Elain and Lucien will both reject their bond and choose love over their bond. Lucien w Vassa and Elain w Azriel.(if their bond is in fact real which at this point at least it is)

Ppl seem to forget SJM talked about wanting to write a swan lake retelling and vasalisa the beautiful. Which if you look into the folklore fits Lucien and Vassa to the T.

I’ve been saying since acowar that the moment SJM retconned Lucien’s dad to Helion making him a spell cleaver and then she gave Vassa a unbreakable curse was a major foreshadowing of them ending up together. And every book since has just drove that point home.

am i toxic for genuinely believing that you can only wholeheartedly ship e|riel if you’ve not read very much outside of romantasy? like i cannot comprehend that someone would have this much confidence in a ship that has so little narrative potential purely because they had one sexually charged interaction. Did you think odysseus and circe were endgame too???

hey, so I didn’t make this post to fight with e|riels (I did tag it as anti precisely because I don’t want my opinions contaminating someone else’s experience online). I don’t think any ship is impossible at this stage and I disagree with your assessment of the bonus chapter. It might not be what made people like the ship but it is by far the most frequently quoted evidence for why this ship must be endgame. Many readers shipped Gwynriel before the bonus chapter came out.

Mind you, they’ve had no issue taking our preorder money, announcing 30 different merch collections to spend our money on, like videos about how it’s really not that big of a deal that we don’t have a title yet, all in that same time period.

It feels like Bloomsbury doesn’t want the fandom to be getting hyped for the new ACOTAR books. Like “if we stay very very quiet, maybe they will forget about it altogether”

Because what do you mean the book comes out in 84 days and the ONLY THING anyone knows about the book is that it comes out in 84 days.

For Crescent City, the fandom spent months preparing for each release with so much fun and fanfare, with art, games and more. I was part of a fun group where we made fun predictions and turned it into a bingo game.

We even started receiving QUOTES from Silver Flames 5 months before the release?

Maybe they really don’t care about the fandom experience and celebration after all, and only our money.

Hey, can we stop calling people who want a title and the book cover for ACOTAR 6 “entitled?” This the bare minimum information that should be provided by a company who wants you to spend your hard earned cash for a book.

Stop letting huge corporations take our money for doing absolutely nothing to earn it. You are the consumer and you deserve more. And I’m not just talking about BB, but any company selling you goods and services. It’s become so normal for corporations to treat their customers like crap and this shouldn’t be normalized. It’s your money, don’t just give it away anyone.

Those are Lucien’s first words to Feyre after she learns he was SA’d… and they’re absolutely heartbreaking.

Instead of focusing on his own pain or seeking comfort, his instinct is to protect someone else. It shows just how little he thinks his own hurt matters. There’s so much shame in that one sentence (misplaced, but deeply rooted) like he thinks his trauma somehow makes him unworthy in Elain’s eyes. He’s been carrying this alone for so long, and even when it finally comes out, his first reaction is fear, not relief. He doesn’t want Elain to see him as broken, or lose whatever fragile hope she might represent to him. She’s become this symbol of something good, something healing… and he’s terrified of ruining that.

This moment completely shifts how we see Lucien. It’s not only a quiet confession… it’s a moment of self-erasure.

Also I usually engage in all types of fanart in the acotar fandom because they are beautiful. But no one understands how much I'm waiting for a time when loving Lucien and Gwyn doesn't mean shipping gwynriel and elucien. Or for when criticizing the elriel fandom doesn't mean that I think these other ships will be canon, cause I don't. But I respect them. And I think the shipwars have made this fandom so genuinely bad to be in because it seems like there's no middle ground.
