Bearing in mind the relationship between moment and memory in life cycle of human beings, this film is a sequence of scenes that were shot intentionally without any repetation in the course of one month. It simultaneously constructs and deconstructs the connections between Turkish speaking Cypriots, local beverage product Bixi which had begun being produced in that architectural period and disappeared after de facto declaration of independence of North Cyprus state and architectural artifacts that are abandoned to their fate under state’s “supervision”.

Literary Agency Cyprus together with NIMAC(Nicosia Municipality Art Centre) invited 5 film makers to document 5 workshops as part of the Treasure Island exhibition . The film makers were asked to come up with a short film based on the workshops they were documenting. Lithe is made up of footage captured during the workshop facilitated by Stephanos Stephanides.
