The General and the Silver Siren

Hux didn’t even know that Starkiller Base had a lounge, let alone one that had burlesque shows. He felt slightly awkward being surrounded by troopers and officers of a lower rank than him- he swore he even saw Thannison at the bar, pounding an ale.

“And now, gentlemen, sit back and be enticed by the Silver Siren,” the emcee’s voice crooned over the loudspeakers. The curtains parted and revealed a leggy blonde wearing nothing but an officer’s jacket and a pair of heels. A piano began to play over the speakers, followed by a female voice singing in a way that was sensual and bluesy.

“My heart belongs to daddy/So I simply couldn’t be bad…” The blonde danced provocatively, winking at or blowing kisses to every man within her scope of vision. Just then, those sapphire eyes caught Hux’s gaze. Hux felt himself redden as she smiled at him. Those ruby lips formed a kiss and she blew it towards him, fluttering her eyelashes seductively.

Hux’s pulse began to rush, overcome with a mix of lust and euphoria. The song ended as the blonde draped a long leg over a chair and the curtain closed. Thunderous applause surrounded Hux as he felt himself get caught in it.

The acts shifted, more girls performing stripteases among other things. But Hux’s mind always wandered to the beautiful girl in the jacket. Who was she, and why did she seem so familiar to him?

“Why hello, General.” Hux felt a hand on his shoulder- sure enough there was one with a silver manicure resting on his shoulder. He looked up and saw her- the Silver Siren. Something about her seemed familiar but he couldn’t put his finger on it…
