It had been a week since you moved in with Lngshot, the boys had become comfortable with your presence, and the dorm was no longer filled with awkward tension.
You’d grown quite fond of them and picked up on their habits.
Louis walks around with his headphones on and is prone to invading the others spaces, he even spent two hours in your room doomscrolling on reels while you napped. He didn’t even notice you’d fallen asleep until he tried to show you a video and you didn’t react. It didn’t make him leave though; he was still sat on your bed when you woke up.
Ohyul doesn’t leave you alone, he keeps pestering you to go on runs with him. You agreed once and he sped off halfway through because you kept stopping to catch a breath. “You’re so lazy” “Cmon, my grandad could run faster than you”. He would constantly tease you to the point you gave up and speed walked behind him.
Ryul forced you to watch ‘The Conjuring’ with him, he convinced you by saying it wasn’t scary and you had no choice because it was his favorite movie. It ended with you buried under a blanket, squeezing your eyes shut. Ryul found it hilarious and now a video of it lives in his camera roll.
Woojin is the most creative of the group, he’s usually hunched over somewhere on his laptop editing a video or composing a new song. He tends to draw a lot as well; you came home from practice one day to see a drawing of you wearing the famous Lngshot Seattle cap pinned to your bedroom door. It really made you feel included and it was the first time you hugged one of the members. It honestly almost brought you to tears. One of your pet peeves though was him walking out in your clothes, and that’s what happened today.
✎
It was eleven in the morning; the sun was shining brightly through your half-opened curtains making you stir awake. The sheets clung to you as you turned in bed to look around the silent bedroom, it was so peaceful when you knew it was your day off. No vocal classes, meetings or dance practice. Just a full day to do whatever you wanted.
You sat up in bed and grabbed your phone.
It lit up with texts from the group chat. It seemed Ryul was going to a cafe after practice and was feeling nice enough to get everyone drinks.
Gyul: What do you want y/n?
BEGB: She’s probably still asleep
🐟: Lazyyyy
Gyul: What do I get then?
Jin-e: Isn’t matcha popular…
🐟: She hates matcha
Gyul: So much help… I’ll just get an iced coffee
🐟: Wait, the cloud foam thing
Jin-e: Isn’t that shoe soles?
🐟: That’s memory foam
Y/N: I’ll take a cold foam cappuccino
BEGB: Wow she’s awake
Sleeping while we’ve been grinding 🔥
Y/N: You’re just jealous
You turned off your phone and threw it onto your duvet.
It would probably be a good time to go shower before they get back, so you pulled yourself out of bed and trudged to the bathroom, dragging your feet along the floor.
The bathroom was surprisingly clean considering you lived with four boys. The sink was sparkling; everything was organized and even the products were lined up and grouped to stop confusion.
The only issue was the clothes crumpled in the corner of the room; someone must’ve been in a rush and left their pajamas to be picked up later. It didn’t bother you much though because you weren’t the one to clean it up.
The water rushed over your head and as soon as you scrubbed your scalp with shampoo you heard the front door opening and a group of rowdy boys walking in.
From what you could hear Louis bought a new pack of Pokémon cards while the rest of them had gone to the cafe. It didn’t go down well. Clearly the other members wanted a pack too, especially Ryul.
“I bought you a smoothie, and you didn’t even get me a pack”
The peace was gone.
You left the bathroom after changing into baggy jeans and a cropped Paul Frank monkey top.
The boys had gotten to lounging around the dorm.
Louis and Ryul huddled together as Louis shuffled through his cards, Ohyul was stood in the kitchen digging into a cantaloup melon with a spoon and Woojin must’ve wandered off to his room because he was nowhere to be seen.
You walked towards Louis and Ryul, watching as they slowly flipped through the cards revealing different Pokemon.
“Your coffee is in the kitchen” Ryul glanced up at you then back to the cards.
“Thank you”
“MEWTWO” Louis jumped up from the couch, his voice squeaked to an octave you’d never heard before.
He bounced around making his silver jewelry clank against his skin. Ryul snatched the card from the boys’ hand and stared at the shining card.
“Yah, you have to share this with me”
“What? no”
Louis shoulders curled as he stared down at Ryul.
“You two need a shared binder or something” you said while walking away from the bickering match that was away to start.
Ohyul turned towards you chewing the mouthful of melon in his mouth. His glasses hung low on his nose, and he blinked hard like he’d been caught.
“It looks like a Dinosaur egg” You pointed out as you looked down at the dug into melon.
“I’ll add that”
Ohyul began typing on his phone, prompting you to look over his shoulder. He had sent a photo onto his Fromm of the melon. Thousands of messages popped up on his chat, it was overwhelming the amount people were sending hoping to get a reply.
“Why are you eating a whole melon anyways?”
“It’s refreshing, it’s hot outside”
You scrunched your brows in confusion, according to the temperature in the dorm it was freezing. Speaking of, where is the hoodie you left on the chair?
“Have you seen my green hoodie?”
You moved behind the dining table chairs and looked on the floor, assuming it had fallen during the night. It was nowhere to be seen, not under the chairs, on the chairs, under the table. It wasn’t even in the room.
“What hoodie?” Ohyul asked looking around the room as well.
“My Chew Forever hoodie, it’s got studs on the front with camo”
“Uh oh” Ohyul just laughed and turned to his melon again.
His legs wide against the counter and his body hunched over the poor melon he was scraping out of.
“What do you mean ‘uh oh’?”
Woojin walks out of his room with his eyes glued to his phone. You stopped looking around the room when the culprit came walking out in your missing hoodie.
Your eyes wandered between each member as they watched Woojin stay oblivious to the fact he’s wearing YOUR hoodie.
“Woojin!” You shouted.
He looked up from his phone dumbfounded. He looked between you and the hoodie that clung to his body.
His hands went up in defense as you darted across the room.
“You’re wearing my hoodie!”
“Hey, hey, I woke up late and grabbed it”
You gripped the fabric of your hoodie knowing this wasn’t the first incident. The last time he wore your clothes was only two days ago. He decided to borrow your baggy Diesel jeans; it was the first time you’d seen them sagged to the max.
The worst part is that you found out through twitter, he wore them to a fan meet.
“You keep wearing my clothes”
“We share a closet! I can’t tell what’s yours”
You let go of the hoodie and stepped back.
“My clothes are on pink hangers” You shook your head as if the answer was obvious, because it was.
Woojin just stared with his lips parted; he clearly had no comeback.
“Louis is wearing your shirt”
“Don’t throw me under the bus bruh” Louis smacked his lips and fell back onto the couch next to Ryul who still had a tight grip on the Mewtwo card.
The peace in your head was disrupted yet again. It was inevitable that at least one of the boys would steal your clothes but two of them at the same time? This is an invasion. You couldn’t even see the shirt Louis was wearing because he had a hoodie on top. Only the hem hung out below.
You stormed back to the kitchen and grabbed the coffee that was basically melting on the counter.
Ohyul still didn’t pay any mind to the situation as he shoveled into the melon and constantly updated his fans on the progress.
You sipped through the straw vigorously while trying not to rip the hoodie you wanted to wear off Woojin.
“You can wear our clothes” Woojin surrendered. Hoping he could strike a deal and make it acceptable to wear your clothes.
You though for a moment. They do own a lot of designer clothes, especially BAPE. You didn’t own any BAPE.
“Okay, deal” You pushed the coffee back onto the counter and headed for Woojins room that held all the clothes.
Woojin followed close behind with a grin that reached his ears. This is exactly what he wanted. His wardrobe had just expanded.
The wardrobe door swung open and you stood back to see the full collection. Your eyes scanned the rack until they landed on the purple and yellow Bape shark hoodie.
Woojin stayed quiet as you took it off the hanger and wrapped it around your body, zipping it up halfway; still exposing the Paul Frank monkey beneath.
“That’s not even mine” Woojin laughed evilly, throwing his head back as if this was the most humorous thing he’s seen.
“Who’s is it then?”
“Louis”
You just shrugged your shoulders.
“He’s wearing my shirt”
He squinted his eyes mockingly and you just flicked the hood over your head and walked out hearing his mocking voice behind you.
You should’ve known it was Louis because it completely swamped you, it was so long that it fell to your thighs and you’d have to bend over to reach the pockets. Doesn’t matter though, a win is a win and victory tasted sweet.
Returning to the living space, you grabbed your coffee and slumped on the couch next to louis who was scrolling on his phone.
“That’s mine” He pointed accusingly to his hoodie.
“That’s mine” You copied is actions and pointed to your shirt hanging out of his hoodie.
“Touche”
You smiled smugly and sipped your coffee. Ryul had now disappeared from the couch, and you could only assume he was stashing the card in his room.
Ohyul was onto the second half of the melon now, making the loudest noises possible as he slurped the melon juice.
“He’s so loud” You muttered.
Woojin sat beside you, basically sitting on your leg as he nudged an earphone into your hand.
He was watching Naruto on his phone, so you happily took the earphone and slotted it in.
sypnosis: you’re supposed to go on a date with your boyfriend, but everything that could go wrong, goes wrong…
pairing: bf!woojin x fem!reader
genre: mostly fluff, like 10% angst??
wc: 3,6k
warnings: mentions of period
side note: THIS IS MY FIRST FIC REUQEST!!!! I’m not that satisfied with it and pls be patient with me and my english skills…. 💔 i don’t know any interpunction rules in english so yeah…. i hope y’all enjoy this atleast a bit<3
You were usually perceived as a composed and rational person. You weren't that easy to break, but there was that one time of the month when it was hard for you not to falter – the moment when you had your... period. The nightmare of every woman, the time of constant pain, both physical and psychological. One of the worst disadvantages was that you tended to become more sensitive when you had your period than you are on an everyday basis. During that time you sometimes could be as fragile as glass, and you had no real control of it. It bothered you a lot, but once again – you couldn't really do anything about it. Sometimes your friends came into action and tried to cheer you up by visiting you or by just simply checking up on you, sending few kind messages, which helped most of the times.
Not so long ago, the same friends decided to introduce you to a „special someone" – a guy named Woojin. They swore on their lives that you would get along very well with each other since you shared many interests and that included music and fashion. You weren't really keen on meeting anyone new at the time, not because you were a diehard introvert or something that type, but because you just didn't feel like it at that moment. You already had a lot of stuff on your head, such as school or the part-time job you just got recently. Your friends didn't really want to listen to any of your excuses, though. They urged you to agree, and you finally let them set you up. Back then, you thought that you would probably regret it, but now? It's the total opposite. You couldn't be more grateful for them insisting on you going out with that „mysterious guy", because soon after that meeting you started going out more and more, which resulted in you and Woojin getting into a relationship. A sweet one!
Today marks a full month of you both starting dating. Your boyfriend thought it would be a great idea to do something nice for that special day. It didn't have to be anything fancy or overly complicated – he just wanted to spend some time with you. You were obviously very glad that he initiated a thing like this and agreed almost immediately. Woojin decided it would be the best thing ever if you recreated your first date and visited all the places you did on that day. It was... genius! You adored him so much for his thoughtfulness, and he saw that, which even made him feel a bit proud of himself. He knew he was that guy.
There was just one problem considering the timing of the date – you were supposed to get your period today. The crippling pain was already starting to build up in your stomach, but you shrugged it off and went on with the day. Later you got to experience that maybe you should have stayed in bed for a few more minutes more...
While making breakfast, your favorite glass with fresh juice in it fell on the floor and shattered to million pieces. That incident made you lose your beloved glass with cute little strawberries on it, not to mention you also having to clean up all the mess which wasn't the easiest and most fun thing to do. That already made you feel tired and resigned, and the day barely even started!
You somehow regained your composure and decided it's the time to finally do the laundry. You threw all the dirty clothes in the machine, and turned it on straight away. As you were about to leave and go on with the remaining chores, you suddenly heard strange noises... well, who would have thought – it turned out to be the machine! It decided not to cooperate with you and break down the moment you activated it. That really threw you off and seemed like the last nail to your coffin. It was truly the last thing you expected to happen. Your bathroom was now one huge mess and you didn't even know where to begin with cleaning it up. The luck wasn't on your side today, which caused to enhance the anger that was already arising in you because of your upcoming period. With little to no sanity left, you started cleaning up for the second time this day, except this happening was way worse, since there was just water splashed all around the bathroom.
When you finished putting everything back in its place, out of nowhere you heard your phone ringing. The sound of it felt heavy and unbearably loud, it just added to your irritation. It was placed in the living room so you walked over there quickly and picked it up. It was Woojin. Even when in a bad mood, you were relieved and happy that he called. You could finally brag to him about your unusual clumsiness today and you knew he’d surely cheer you up, which would definitely help your current state.
Just as you answered the call and were about to start your rant, he suddenly asked if you were already ready to go.
When you heard him say that, you instantly froze. You didn't even get to wash your hair yet! All of the disturbances made you lose your sense of time and you didn't even realize you were supposed to start getting ready an hour ago. You wanted to give him a response, but the pure shock made your voice get stuck in your throat. Finally after a few seconds of silence you said:
– Shit... I didn't have time to even start. Can you just come over and wait at my place?
Woojin agreed, but he sensed something was wrong. Your tone sounded off to him – he could feel the nervousness in it. Also you mentioning not having time made him wonder what could have happened that made you this worked up. That made him slightly worried, but he shrugged it off. He figured that maybe he was just overthinking.
While your boyfriend was driving to your place, you decided to leave all your morning worries behind and finally start getting ready. Firstly, you washed your hair with a scented shampoo and did the standard routine on them by putting some conditioner and hair mask. When the right amount of time passed you rinsed it out precisely, so there is no leftovers that could destroy your silky smooth hair. You recently got bangs so they required extra care in order for it to look good. After that, you started working on your makeup. You didn't want to test the waters after all the discouraging events, and do anything crazy, so you just did your everyday look knowing it will come out good, like it always does. Nothing special, but still pretty!
While putting some lip gloss on as the last step, you suddenly heard the doorbell ring. You ran up to the door all excited, since you finally got to see your boyfriend after all of the struggles you got through today! And as you were just about to pull the doorhandle, you unexpectedly felt the intense ache in your stomach coming back again, but this time it felt twice as bad. You curled up right in front of the door and stayed like that for a few seconds before getting up, and actually opening them. You felt nauseous and immediately wanted to throw up, but you didn't want to let that feeling take over since your boyfriend was already waiting for you to invite him in. When Woojin finally saw you, his intuition immediately suggested something was heavily wrong, just as he thought earlier. He didn't have the courage to ask you about it, though. The voices in the back of his head were still saying that maybe he was just worrying too much and he didn't want to seem overly caring and soft. He loved you an awful lot, but he still had the „tough boy" image to keep up! Nonetheless he still adored you, and couldn't stand seeing you miserable.
Soon you greeted him with a kiss pressed to his cheek, which he returned gladly. That made his concerns fade away for a moment.
– I'm almost done with getting ready, I promise it won't take me long, just wait, please. - you started to explain hurriedly – Actually, all I have left to do is to pick an outfit and comb my hair! I told you i'll be done in a blink of an eye.
– What's the rush? I'm already here I can just wait. – he tried to reassure you.
Woojin could read you like a book, even though your relationship was still pretty fresh and you both still were exploring each others souls and minds. He saw that you were trying to sound enthusiastic and remain normal, but he couldn't help noticing you seemed off. Finally he decided to ask:
– Is everything okay?
– Yeah, oh yeah, I'm just fine! I just have pretty bad luck today, and everything I touch I destroy for some reason... but don't worry! – you laughed awkwardly and became stressed because it kind of bothered you that you made him concerned – Anyway, since you're already here, would you mind helping me to choose what should I wear? You have the best fashion eye that I know, I could really use a hand.
As soon as he heard your request, he walked over to your closet. While choosing the best clothes that matched each other flawlessly and made a breathtaking outfit altogether, he still was deep in his thoughts. He kept thinking if it was really just the „bad luck" that made you this tired and irritated. He didn't believe any of your explanations, but also couldn't think of any other reasons behind your strange behavior. It was his first time seeing you like this. Woojin only knew your bubbly and happy side, he didn't have the occasion to see you in a state like this yet. That's why it concerned him that much.
At the same moment you ran to the bathroom to make some final touches to your look. You brushed through you hair quickly because you already felt bad for being late and making your boyfriend wait. As you thought nothing else today would try to make you lose your senses, you looked in the mirror to see the final effect, only to meet the image of your bangs falling in all different directions. You truly tried to remain calm, but this was the final straw. While trying to make them look good and fix their appearance, tears started to fall on your face. That only angered you more and added to all the negative emotions from earlier because you just couldn't understand why you were crying over some stupid bangs. It made you look absolutely weak in your eyes. You felt so overwhelmed with everything that happened in the span of the last few hours. The way not a single thing cooperated with you, combined with already feeling resigned from the upcoming period made you just straight-up cry. You couldn't stop, the tears just poured like a waterfall. You fell to your knees on the cold floor tiles and accepted defeat.
You were in the bathroom fixing your hair for way longer than usual – that’s what Woojin thought. His bad thoughts started kicking in again. He already chose your fit for the day and was laying on the couch, scrolling through his phone. He knew you shouldn’t be sitting in there for this much time, but he also didn’t want to invade your privacy. After full ten minutes passed, he decided the most responsible choice would be first knocking on the bathroom door and then asking if you’re okay, and that’s exactly what he did.
You on the other end, didn’t even hear his question, as you were too consumed in your thoughts, mourning the way you’re functioning today. When Woojin was met with pure silence and no answer he started to stress in a serious way. He didn’t really know what to do, but his desperation to know what’s going on took the best of him and he finally barged in to the bathroom.
That’s when he saw it – the sight of you sitting on the floor just crying miserably. It made him shocked and stand still.
Him coming in finally pulled you out of your meltdown. You just looked each other in the eyes, both confused and you slightly embarrassed. Your eyes held this frustration and pure sadness, which broke Woojin. He has this image of a careless, tough man, but this was simply heartbreaking for him.
You were the first one to break the eye contact because you felt ashamed he saw you in a state like this. Suddenly you felt him kneeling down to your level. You tried your best to hide your face behind your hair, you didn’t want him to see you with smeared makeup, all ugly with like this. Trough sniffling you finally uttered:
– Sorry… I’m so sorry…
Woojin felt even more disoriented. Why were you apologizing? What was all of this about? He was nervous to the fullest. He just wanted you to tell him straightforwardly what made you this mad because he genuinely didn’t know what could be the reason.
Just as he was about to ask you what’s really going, your stomachache came back for the third time this day. It was so sudden and painful it made you twist with your whole body, and this time, even scream.
– The pills… – you muttered – the painkillers… they’re on the kitchen counter…
Woojin, frightened with your brief outburst, immediately fulfilled your request. Along with the pills, he also brought you a bottle of water so it would be easier for you to swallow them. When he finally came back with the pills, you quickly took them and prayed the suffering would go away quickly. Woojin didn’t dare to speak as he saw you were in an unbelievable pain. He just stayed still by your side. It was comforting, he tried to be patient and show you he’s the for you no matter what. He still didn’t exactly understand what was going on at the moment but he decided to stay next to you and wait for when you finally get better.
After spending some time in absolute silence, you finally turned your head to Woojin to look at him. You noticed the concern and fear leaking from his eyes. It made you feel guilty like hell. You didn’t want to destroy your date plans like this - especially like this!
– So… how are you feeling? – he finally spoke up.
You didn’t know how to respond. The pain was still there but it was much lighter.
– It’s way better, thank you. – You looked at him with apologetic eyes. – Hey… I’m so sorry for how our date turned out. I… still don’t really know why I bursted out like this… I mean, I started crying over my hair not looking good… It’s pretty stupid, right?
You both smiled and you laughed nervously. His gaze finally softened.
– Did anything happen? Just please tell me, I had this feeling something happened ever since we talked today, and now… this situation. – he said softly, so you don’t rage. – Just tell me please, you know you can trust me.
A smile eventually crept up your face. You were just so glad someone actually is there for you – someone who cared about you in the way you longed for. That only made you even more sure of the feelings you had towards your boyfriend.
– I love you – you blurted out suddenly with a brightened expression, while squeezing him in a tight hug.
Woojin, for what felt like the millionth time today, became confused again. What was that for? Obviously, he’s happy you love him because he definitely likes you a whole awful lot too, but… that still doesn’t really explain anything.
– There’s truly nothing to worry about Woo, I’m just more sensitive than usual. You know I’m not like that on an everyday basis! – you spoke more cheerfully and looked him in the eyes while still having him in your embrace, your faces dangerously close to each other. – The pain, the fragility… you probably know where I’m coming from by now.
– Yeah… duh! You just scared me with the scream. – he said while returning the smile. – I thought you got possessed and decided it was my time.
You laughed at that loudly, and dropped your head on his chest.
Woojin, a matter of fact… didn’t know what you actually meant. He was just happy to see you return to your senses again, he pretended to understand you so you don’t feel bad. He still remembers the image of you crying and curling up on the bathroom floor very vividly, and the memory still makes him shiver from fright.
Hearing your boyfriend saying he gets you, made you sigh in relief.
– In that case, is staying home fine today? We can watch the TV, maybe cook something later…? You know, I’d rather not go out in case the ache comes back.
– Oh yeah, don’t stress, it’s fine with me. – he responded acting all cool.
– Thank you… thank you, thank you! – you shouted out while pressing your lips to his cheek for the second time that day, which made him a bit flustered. – Wait for me in the living room, you can choose what to watch. I have to wash off my make up, but this time I’ll actually come out of the bathroom.
You both laughed at that remark, and got up from the floor. While walking to the couch, Woojin still wondered what you meant earlier, because what could be the possible correlation between a stomachache and being more sensitive than usual? He felt stupid for pretending he knows exactly what you feel. Eventually, his curiosity and the need to actually get you took over him and made him google those symptoms to learn if they actually meant anything altogether.
The results weren’t really what he expected. He was dumbfounded, and felt even more stupid now because after finding out what all those things meant, it all felt so clear and obvious! How did he not figure that out earlier?
Him finally understanding the whole situation made him feel embarrassed because now he felt like he didn’t take proper care of you. Taking advantage of you still washing your make up off he decided to search through the cabinets of your kitchen for any sweets or goods that would ease your suffering. He stumbled across a pack of chips, some chocolate bars and a stack of candies. He gathered up all things he found and put them on the table. Besides taking care of your cravings, Woojin also picked up the blanket that laid on your bed and brought it over to the living room, to make sure you’re going to be comfortable, when chilling with him.
When you finally finished washing your face and left the bathroom for good, you were met with the sight of Woojin waiting for you on the coach with your favorite blanket. You couldn’t help but also notice all of the goods scattered on the table. The awkward atmosphere you had earlier completely disappeared. You were happy that he was there at your place because getting through all of this by yourself would be a pure torture. He truly enlightened your mood by a whole lot. You knew you could lean on him anytime you needed it, and that’s what made you fell in love with him in the first place. He just brought you comfort.
– I thought I might help somehow, and I brought you what I found in the kitchen. – he said shyly, while scratching his head and looking down.
You melted at the view of him softening up like that. This was very different from what he was like everyday, but you really cherished that side of him. It assured you that your love is truly honest and mutual, and that he cared for you the same way you did for him.
You didn’t say anything. You just took him in your arms again and peppered him with kisses all over his face. He got flustered with you turning all lovey-dovey once again, but didn’t hide his face. He not-so-secretly loved the way you showed your adoration of him, and could stay like that with you forever. He loved you with his whole heart and even though, you weren’t together for too long yet, he knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with you.
You both finally got settled on the couch comfortably and he covered you with the blanket he took from your room. You rested you head on his shoulder, just like you did in the bathroom, and he put his arm securely around you. You smiled at the small, but important gesture and turned on the TV. Some random show played on, and soon after realizing it’s boring, you started chattering and cuddling. You didn’t talk about anything essential, but all that mattered was that it was just you two.
You didn’t go on the date as planned, but you both spending time indoors wasn’t so bad after all. You had so much fun nonetheless. You could feel the love and happiness from being together hang in the air. As long as it’s you and Woojin, you can find the solution to even the worst and toughest situations. The way you look after each other is a perfect example of your devotion. It’s all about love and comfort.

Part I, part..
Scanning the product you hand it back to the customer. Half there half not, you mumbled a “have a good day” you looked at the clock seeing that your shift should be over in a couple minutes.
The next customer came to check out. Taking the snacks you asked for the amount of money needed.
Seeing the guy fumble for cash you waited inspecting the guys more.
Looking at him it looks like you guys are around the same age.
Refocusing yourself you took the cash from the boy and did the usual sign off.
Going into the staff room you picked up your belongings and told your boss you were heading home.you had to tell your boss today because he wouldn't be in tomorrow when your shift started. Reminding your boss you were going to be only working on the weekends now for half a day.
Your boss, remembering what you told him, nodded. Smiling, he told you to work hard on your studies.
Thanking him you bowed and headed out the door.
Sighing you decided to treat yourself a bit because sometimes you just needed too
right? Automatically heading to your favorite cafe you ordered some pancakes and a drink.
Waiting in line you saw the same boy when you were working. Making eye contact the boy gave a polite nod bow thing. Doing the same the person called out your order and on the way out someone tripped you slightly. Sending your receipt out of your hands and almost spilling your drink.
Stumbling a bit the boy caught your receipt handing it back to you. Thanking him you walked back home praying to yourself to forget that awful moment.
As you got inside your house you greeted your parents and grandparents. Putting your bag down you placed the takeout box on the table eating the pancakes immediately.
Throwing out the garbage, you made your way to your room to empty your work bag and pack your school bag since the new school year will be starting in two days.
Cleaning out your old binders and storing your old notebooks away, you started to test your stationary to see if any of it died.sadly a couple pens and highlighter. Oh well you made a note and planned to get some later.
Opening a textbook you started to review material you gathered to ease the workload and make sure you were up to speed for this upcoming year. Practicing a few math questions you heard a call to help set the table.
Eating dinner, your parents started talking about the new upcoming school year. You replied to things they asked like about studies and stuff. They already knew what you were going to do though anyways they just forgot. Well it has been two months since that conversation.
After finishing Washing your plate and the other dishes you head back up to your room to binge watch whichever show. A couple hours later you decided that you should go to bed.
Brushing your teeth and washing your face you turned off the lights and drifted off to sleep.
Opening your eyes you looked at the clock beside you before closing your eyes once again and going back to sleep. Not too long later your parents woke you up to run some errands.
Getting ready you head outside to go buy the groceries, and the stationary you needed.
Walking to the stationary shop first you opened the door hearing the chime letting the staff know someone entered. Going to the pen section you picked out a pack of gel pens. Now grabbing a few highlighters you paid and checked out.
Making your way to the grocery store you got the list out on your phone which your mom sent. Looking around you went towards the produce section first. Picking out the vegetables and fruits needed.
Completing your moms grocery list, you wandered to the snack section. Eyeing the pocky you did your best to resist temptation. But sadly put it in your cart.
Bumping your shoulder into another person in line in front of you, you turned around to apologize.
“Im so sorry” you bowed than made eye contact. Widening your eyes you realized it was the receipt guy. Oh my. You thought you erased that moment from your brain, turns out you didn't. Mentally praying to not embarrass yourself any further, the guy shook his head interrupting your prayerfulness state.
“It’s really okay!” he responded with a smile
“Is your arm okay though?” you asked
“Yeah! It's fine. We seem to be running into each other a lot” he chuckled
Nodding “see you around hopefully?” you gave a slight smile
Laughing, the boy bobbed his head.
Waving, he exited the store.
Waving back you paid for all your items. Feeling a bit awkward from that interaction you headed back to your home carrying the bag of stationary and groceries.
Unlocking your door you looked at the clock telling you that it was 10 o clock. Placing the grocery bag in the kitchen you let your mom know that you bought them and the bag was on the floor.
Going up the stairs you placed the stationary on your desk and went back down to prepare for work. Your shift starts in half an hour and ends at eight. At least the convenience store was only a 10 minute bike ride.
Getting ready to go back out, you put on a work uniform. Bidding farewell to your parents you got your bike and biked to your workplace. Going into the back you locked your bike then walked to the entrance.
Walking in the convenience store you clocked in and greeted your coworkers who were there. Then you started restocking the emptier shelves.
Those nine hours of work blurred and passed by pretty quickly, not including your lunch break.
Saying good bye and good night to your co-workers, you found your bike and went back home. Kicking off your shoes your family greeted you enthusiastically with a meal specially prepared for the start of your high school years. (It was meant for good luck too!)
Smiling you showed your excitement and gratitude by immediately digging in after you said grace. Eating the meal you discussed various things regarding the start of the school year.
After washing your plate you started to pack your bag for tomorrow.
Grabbing your bag you packed in new notebooks, a binder and your pencil case with your newly added stationary! Making sure you grabbed whatever other necessities you needed you zipped up your bag and started to relax.
After a warm shower you let your brain power off. Watching some random videos you slowly convinced yourself to go to bed to get your last final hours asleep before student life starts up again.
Hearing your alarm you reluctantly forced yourself up at the ripe time of seven am.
Getting yourself ready you were thankful that your school had pretty good uniforms. Reaching your bag you went down the stairs and ate a small sliver of bread. Packing some snacks for thee there you continued to pack your lunch.
Your dad already awake prompted you to hurry up so you can get to school in time.
Your dad hearing a muffled response rolled his eyes and went outside to start the car. Chewing the bread you put on your back pack and your shoes. Going onto your porch you locked the door then hopped in the car.
Putting on your seatbelt you turned on the radio fiddling with your fingers, anxious for the first day of school. You were going to see new faces, teachers and classmates. At least you had Kelly! There was a part of you that was a little just a little excited for the day. First encounters were always hard, right? You were going to explore a new school too.
After twenty minutes of waiting the school was in view. Closing your eyes for a second you took a deep breath trying to shake off the nerves.
Your dad beside tried to calm you down and dropped you off. Thanking your dad you immediately spotted Kelly. Running up to her, you were still filled with jitters. Kelly placed her hands on your shoulder stopping you from bouncing any further.
“First of all [Name]!HIIIII!! Second of all we can catch up later, we need to go to the gym to find our classes!! Oh my days aren't you excited?” Kelly's face was lit up.
Now seeing her you stopped her from jumping up and down.
"If we need to go to the gym to find out about our classes, do you know where the gym is?“
“UH no I dont. but it says on the map thingy in front of us” Kelly said with a shrug
Looking in front of you an arrow was pointing to the right with the word gym in it. Pulling Kelly with you, you lined up to go see the names.all you could see though were the many heads in front of you.
Slowly your grade mates? Went off in different directions probably going to find their respective classrooms. Now that you can actually see you took a while to find your name finding Kelly's name first. Scanning the board you hoped to see the same class number as Kelly.
‘Please please please let me see class 1-2! - ’
Finding your name you looked to the side of it and saw class 1-2! Turning your head you saw Kelly with a wide smile on her face.
Jumping you cheered that you were in the same class!
“OMG [Name] we’re in the same class again!! C’mon we should go check out our class!” Kelly then proceeded to drag you to the room number.
Eventually finding your class you saw a familiar face. Hmm isn't that the same guy that you kept on running into last weekend?
Kelly, already looking around the class, saw the clock and whispered to you that she thinks the teacher is going to come soon. While waiting for the teacher to come you counted that there were a total of twenty seven kids in the class including Kelly and you. Seeing another girl entering the class you now had twenty eight people.
A few moments later a teacher came in.
“Hello! I will be your homeroom teacher this year, and will be your language teacher. Please call me Ms. Shin. please choose a desk to sit at for the time being then will take attendance, and we can start the day”
Ms.Shin then proceeds to call on names. Then your name was called. Raising your hand you said “here”. She nodded at you then asked for a “Han Jihoon ” . You wonder who that is?
Then a boy whom you know very very well, definitely not someone you just met, smiled and responded. Huh so his name is Han Jihoon, interesting.
Ms.Shin finished up attendance and clapped her hands together. She asked if everyone can gather their stuff and form a semi circle around the perimeter of the class. The desks were already put in rows going horizontally. Starting from the front row to the back. Listening to everyone's position she sadly put Kelly in the first row separating the two of you. A bit disappointed, Kelly patted your shoulder and told you guys can still hang out during breaktimes.
Hearing your name being called you found your desk beside the window at the edge of the row. And besides, the one and only Han Jihoon wasn't that great? Not that you really minded though you did have a pretty good spot at the edge of the row and the third row at that, and you were beside the window door thing so not too shabby.
Then Ms.Shin started talking about some introductions, and then she added that you were supposed to share your name, birthday, favorite color and two interesting facts about yourself. She gave fifteen minutes to plan what you were going to say.
Settling down you pulled out your notebook and pencil case. Wondering what you should say you overheard your elbow partners talking about what middle school they went to and MBTI’s. Chiming in you said that you were from [xxx-xxx] middle school and were a [X-X-X-X]. Hearing some oh’s you continued to work on a brainstorm on what you were going to say. It doesn't hurt to be too prepared.
“Ok everyone finished? Let’s start from the back please !”
There were many interesting facts about your fellow classmates but slowly it was almost your turn to present! You could feel your heart beat getting louder in your ears and your palms slightly became sweaty.
Seeing the person before you finish up you walked to the front and did a short introduction.
“Hello! ” you bowed “I am [Name], i am born on [______] my favorite color is ___ . Two interesting facts about me are one i work a part time job at a nearby convenience store and that you LOVE visual arts” showing the class a sketch you drew internally cringing at your actions. Kelly flashed you a reassuring thumbs up.
Quickly you went back to your seat and Jihoon went next. You may or may not have zoned out when he said everything but its okay you heard that he liked to dance?
Its fine you were totally paying attention now you were actually listening to everyone's little presentation
Slowly everyone finished sharing something about themselves, your teacher handed out a few activities to do while she assigned the different textbooks to your corresponding number.
A particular activity asked you guys to move around finding classmates who correspond to something. You had more fun than you thought you would, certain moments that stood out to you were the panic when the time almost ended.
Too bad you only found people who read more than nine books, someone who knows three or more languages, someone who has ten pets, someone who has a sibling and more simple ones!
Ms.Shin asked everyone who got what square. Overall the class did fairly well getting more than half the classes names marked down on their sheets. Ms.shin then said to go back to your desks telling you to put the books in your desks and write down your number. Putting your books in your desk you wrote your student number and textbook numbers in a planner. Waiting for everyone to finish you put a piece of candy in your mouth.
The rest of the day was basically housekeeping stuff. Like the rules the teacher has, locations in the class where you find or put something, and the layout of classes and the year. Which took a long time. Well it felt like a long time for you. Ms. Shin then asked a pair of students to hand out a form for their parents to sign all the security safety information.
Hearing the bell ring right after ms shin finished speaking she nodded and told you guys to line up and she’ll take you to the cafeteria. Following her out of the class and into the cafeteria you saw the many other students from your grade to the last one.
Ms.shin pointing to the space told you guys to choose a table and to start lining up.
Rejoining with Kelly, you guys went to line up to get your food immediately.
Hungry, you grabbed a dish plate and started putting food on your plate. Kelly looking at you laughed at your face pointing out that your eyes got bigger. Laughing even harder when she said that you can not be this hungry. You didn't really care though you side-eyed her and blamed the small sliver of bread that didn't last you long enough.
Waiting for Kelly, you guys went to the corner table and sat down. Starting to eat you guys asked each other about spots in the class and how you feel about it.
“You know, my spot isnt half bad” you said “im like legit right next to the door and have people covering me and like the end of the line is okay” you continued.
“UGH lucky…. I can't believe I'm in the damn front… ” Kelly groaned. "At least my elbow partners are cool. Oh yea who sits beside you? I sit beside Jang Kyujin and Kim Woonhak! I think I'll get to know them better. They're pretty chill!” Kelly told you
“Ooo interesting i sit beside this dude called Han Jihoon but all the people in my row seem nice. I would like to know a few of them better!”
Eating in silence for a while you guys started to talk about what you did during the break. After finishing up the food Kelly asked if you wanted to walk around the campus. Nodding your head while you put your trays away you explored the track. Finding the multiple lockers, washrooms and library while you were at it.
Spending most of your time outside walking around the track and looking at the scenery ahead of you the bell rang signaling you to go back to your classes.
Successfully finding your class you went to your seat stretching your arms. Ms.shin then started to assign classroom roles to your classmates having designated people for cleaning duty and distributors.
Thankfully you were not on cleaning duty this week. Ms.shin caught everyone's attention quickly by saying class president and vice president. You heard so many gasps and “I want to do this” well you didn't really want to do it but you know that Kelly wants to try though.
Ms.shin clapped her hands and gave a ten minute preparation block for everyone who wanted to try. People immediately started drafting and putting their thoughts on paper.
Closing your eyes for a bit you decided that you would vote for whoever feels like would be a good fit.
Ten minutes passed by and Ms.Shin called out the names in alphabetical order for the people who wanted to run for president.
Boy was it chaotic. Well at least you guys found a president and vice president. Happy for kelly she’s vice president and the president is lee donghwa. Hopefully they get along well.
A period went by and you guys finally got to see your lockers. Ms.shin handed everyone the locks and your combinations. She let you guys test it out and get used to inputting your combination.
Soon the day ended you got along well with a handful of people which you were proud of, still not friends but now acquaintances thanks to the activity ms.shin got you guys to do in the morning and just yapping with the people in our row already stating they can't wait for the summer break. Don't forget those awkward moments when someone tries to get to know each other or be friends by asking questions then it just ends up in silence . But that did help you get closer especially with your seat mates
At the last minutes of class Ms.shin asked you guys to skim over the textbooks she gave you guys today and dismissed you guys.
Exiting the building you waved bye to Kelly as she walked home. You waited at the bus stop for your bus to come. Checking your phone you responded to the messages your parents sent you.
Hearing the bus you got on with Jihoon- wati Jihoons on this bus too? At least you knew someone on this cramped bus. You held on to the handle beside Jihoon as it was the only spot left.
Little by little people left, making the bus less suffocating. A couple minutes later it was your stop before you got off. You saw from the corner of your eye jihoon waving at you waving back as you got off the bus.
Well that was weird. Shrugging that thought off you made your way back home
Unlocking the door you greeted your parents and buried yourself at your desk looking at your different textbooks. This year's science looked pretty fun for you, but you were not looking forward to math.
The rest of the day went by in a blur lying on your bed. You flicked off the lights and slept.
The next two weeks had the same repetitive schedule just farming each subject. Having a few quizzes and tests here and there. You had a great time building relationships with your peers. Kyujin,Koko,Donghwa,Woonhak and Jihoon clicked with you. Their energetic and fun personalities helped brighten the days with tons of teasing.
Well how did you guys get close you ask? Well you guys may or may have not locked yourselves in a storage room. You guys were all kinda of broken apart in like small friendships already so being locked in a storage room made you guys closer. Cough you guys definitely did not try to play freeze tag in the room, or break like two things when playing truth or dare and UNO? That was the randomest thing ever. You had so much fun just playing games and yapping about random topics. Oh and the lights were off so that just added to the experience.
Sadly the custodian found you guys after checking the fifteenth storage room your school has. Heading back to class you brought all the materials needed for your art teacher. (Did you really need to send seven people to get paints yes yes you did. They were like those big paint cans and brushes. Your art teacher was vibe though she thanked you guys for bringing the materials in the end)
The very next day everyone got settled in and talked about whatever drama was circling around the school. The bell ringing made everyone go back to their desks. Ms.shin entered the class and greeted everyone good morning. Your class president leads everyone to do the greeting.
After attendance and announcements ms.shin started launching into a lesson thing.
Ms.Shin smiled and started writing something on the board. The words on the board said << LETTER TO YOURSELF >>
Looking around everyone seemed to be intrigued and curious about this project you guess.
“Does anyone have any guesses on what we could be doing with this assignment?” Ms.Shin asked.
Seeing everyone's blank faces she looked like she was already expecting this. Ms.Shin started a short lesson on perspectives, how you see yourself and the future. She continued now mixing these concepts together, talked about merging them and forming a big brainstorm of thoughts and feelings.
“Now that you have a good grasp on what I'm saying , this assignment for us to start the year is a letter to your future self once you graduate from this school. Reminder I will not be looking in any of your letters as this is personal, however linking to this letter will be an art project and language about making a collage with words that resonate with you. On a separate piece of paper explain the meaning of your art and why you chose these words you can also try to describe the feeling of why this word pulls you. Please add in metaphors and similes when you explain too.” Ms.Shin spoke. “This is due on monday!”
The class sighed collectively and ms.shin handed you the rough copy papers. She let you guys work on this project the whole period but told you guys she would be doing other stuff throughout the week but if there is extratime shell give it to you guys.
Not having any ideas on the art project you started working on the letter instead. Getting distracted you talked with the people in your row asking about their ideas for the art project. Someone was going to do a collage about sports, another about cooking, and the person beside you dancing.
“[Name] what are you doing?” Jihoon asked as he started sketching his art piece.
“I actually dont have anything yet so im writing my letter first” you replied
“Ah i see”
Writing the letter you mainly asked questions like how were you doing in marks, how has life been going, is everything going okay and other stuff about concerns and worries.
Putting a lot of thought and emotions in it you wrapped up your letter. Peeking beside you, you saw that Jihoon already got his good copy paper for the art. Looking at his draft you were pretty shocked. The rough copy already had so many details and he planned it well with a word bank on the top of his page so he won't forget the words. Thinking to yourself you thought that was pretty smart so you started finding words that resonated with you.
Hearing the bell ring Ms.shin left the room and your next teacher came after a break.
This period was math. Already knowing you cooked, you opened up your textbook and did the first two lessons. Oh my days were they long as heck. The teacher assigning you the homework let you do a few of the questions before the period indeed.
The period ended and you got the small break. Turning beside you, you asked if Jihoon understood the lesson. Comparing your answers it looks like you guys got the same things so far. Until you saw question six. Bro you got different answers about the flip. Finding Kelly you asked her the answer for question six and she answered with the answer Jihoon got. Sighing, you went back to your desk forcing Jihoon to teach you how he got the answer.
Write down the steps you did it the way Jihoon told you too and actually got the right answer. Thanking Jihoon, you said that you always knew he was a genius.. (he got the answer wrong the next day and turns out your answer was right..)
Your next period was soo boring you had history not that you really minded but your teachers voice was so bad. He naturally had a soft voice but he also spoke pretty slowly explaining every little detail. You almost fell asleep in those fifty minutes. But luckily you guys did not get any homework for history for today.
Next you guys headed to the art room. The teacher there seemed very energetic about being at school. You were still tired from history though. The teacher greeted you guys and bombed you with more news.
“The project Ms.Shin gave you will also count as an art mark for me so please do your best to help you have some more ideas. Today I will be talking about incorporating other medians into your art pieces. ”
Now the whole class seemed to be paying more attention. Art class was pretty fun! You learnt how to use foils, clay and wire to help form more of a 3D shape! You were starting to feel more ideas coming into your brain after this class.
Hearing the bell you were once again led to the cafeteria, until you guys got used to the school layout. Mind you, you guys had to go down the stairs and turn past what like ten different hallways just to go to the cafeteria?
Enjoying your sweet lunch break with Kelly, you guys started to join more with the other people in your class playing uno. God damn was this so chaotic and funny as heck.
“PICK UP 4!” It was Kelly who started this. Damn someone boutta be cooked.
“HEH YOU REALLY THOUGHT PICK UP 8” woonhak countered
“Sorry but please pick up 12” Kyujin said
“NO NO IT'S OKAY! PICK UP 16!!” Jihoon continued the chain laughing evilly.
Shoot you were next looking through your cards you found a +4 in your hand sighing you smacked it down on the table. “PICK UP 20 CARDS!”
“WAIT YOU GUYS HAVE SO MANY PICK UP 4s IT’S A GOOD THING I DID TOO! ” Koko yelled
“FAH GUYS WHY ME!!! I'M THE CLASS PRESIDENT ARE YOU JOKING ME RIGHT NOW??? THIS GAME IS RIGGED. WHY FLIP DOES I NOT HAVE A +4! SO UNFAIR” donghwa exclaimed, crashing out of the game.
You all watched him painfully take the twenty four cards you guys stacked on him. Donghwa whining needed more than two hands to fully see what he had.
“WAIT GUYS.. did Jihoon say UNO?” you asked
Everyone gasped and all at the same time said UNO. Unfortunately Jhoon did not need to pick up five more cards and won once it was his turn. Celebrating, he teased and annoyed you guys by getting rid of his cards, calling out donghwa jokingly.
After that much chaos you were submerged in english work asking you to translate this and that. Shaking your head you unwillingly filled out all the different grammar sheets. The bell really had to be the party pooper man…
At least you had science after this. You were hyping yourself up for this class. Sitting beside you was Jihoon who was dozing off while the teacher yapped about some random English philosophy to you guys.
The bell now saving you from this boring class brought in a few minutes of joy and relaxation.
Jihoon, half asleep, suddenly jolted awake saying the philosophy quote standing up. The whole class fell quiet immediately, then someone let out a laugh causing the class to burst out laughing and wheezing.
Jihoon pursed his lips and slowly nodded, sitting back down, lowering his head in embarrassment.
“It’s okay, ” said Whezzes Koko, who sat on the other side of Jihoon.
Slapping or patting his back you wiped the tears from your eye and tried not to laugh any harder.
That moment ended shortly with your science teacher coming in.
The teacher taught you the lesson and already assigned you a project. The project was fairly simple in which your partners made a presentation about an example and tested gravity using its different laws. You were supposed to explain the forces, its orbital motion, the variation of acceleration and say the speed too.
The teacher paired you off and said you were going to work on it this week and present the end of next week and the start of the following week. Not as bad of a due date as you thought. You were working with Jihoon, not that you really minded. Luckily your friends got paired up with someone they know or are in your friend group.
Dapping each other up you chanted to lock in multiple times. First brainstorming and sharing your thoughts on what example you wanted to do and divided the parts up. After you guys arranged to meet up at the library to practice and enhance your project.
RING your class went in line in 0.5 seconds right after your break ended. Getting your gym clothes your class went to the gym and your teacher already had the volleyball cart out. So you guys were not going to the track for sure. Changing your clothes in the change room, your physical education teacher went over how to bump, volley and underhand serve.
The net now has half of your class lined up on the other side with no ball but the other side would be serving first trying to execute an underhand serve or overhand serve then it would be repeated so your teacher can fix your form.
Your arm feeling tired already almost gave out before the period ended. Thankfully your social studies teacher came to pick you up before you could be knocked out.
Going back to your class the teacher lectured you guys on politics and what not for what an hour or so away. It was all worth it though no homework, projects or tests, just review and memorize a couple definitions! How fun you mentally clocked out.
WAIT today was one of those days you were at a club after school. Right…. You almost forgot but it’s okay you remembered. Why did you even join the broad cast club anyways.. o h yea it was for the extra perks of skipping more school. Genuinely how did you get accepted though? Whatever you are committed to,so you have to go.
The last bell ringing for the day meant that it was time to go to your amazing club. Sadly Jihoon, Koko, Kelly, Donghwa, Kyujin were in different clubs. Surprisingly Woonhak also signed up for this club and also got accepted so at least you had a friend.
Walking with woonhak over to the club room you guys talked about what you think were going to happen in this meeting.
Woah so uh what just happened? So you and woonhak now had to film a short video for promotional purposes for the dance club having a workshop for other people? And you were nominated to do morning announcements every other week? Who the flip signed you up for this stuff.
You and Woonhak were crying for your non-existent role in this club. A few weeks ago you were here to pitch ideas but now had to do those ideas oh how you hate how you offered your ideas to this club.
The meeting ended shortly with you and woonhak very dejected but at least you got to skip class time filming and doing announcements right?
Sighing at the same time you bid each other farewell and went back home.
Once you got home you started working on the project ms.shin gave you and drafted a few more ideas for the science assignment. Wait, what were the ideas Jihoon had? How do you even contact him? You forgot you don't have his number. Well you have to get it tomorrow.
At school you spotted a wild Jihoon talking with someone random he probably just became friends with. Walking up to him you asked him for his number to contact him for your project. Jihoon put in his number on your phone and handed it back to you. Thanking him you told him a few ideas you thought of last night.
“OOOO that’s a good idea we should totally do that!” Jihoon agreed
“YEAH! Were cooking and if we added it in with your idea it would be better” you dapped him up.
The rest of the week went by smoothly. Your art/language project was going pretty well. You had your explanation done and all you needed to do were finishing touches over the weekend and you were set.
History, math, social studies, english and gym were a pain but it's fine you're barely surviving but still alive so…
Your science project was also not that bad. You had the whole layout done and an example chosen but a couple of the slides were not done and your teacher said you would stop having class time next week. So you and Jihoon planned to meet up at the library for the week to finish the project and practice presenting.
The rest of your friends were also having some difficulty with the science project but they are also doing the language art project.
You also asked for the next two weekends off to work on your project promising your boss you would work more during the summer. Making note of this on your phone you prayed that skipping work would help improve your oral communication skills.
Besides normal work you and Woonhak were struggling to film the video but luckily Jihoon voluntarily helped you guys get shots from the dance club so all you had to do now was add audio and edit! And about the announcement thing you guys had another week to prepare before you actually do it so you two have been distributing a few parts and practicing during break time.
Over the weekend you finished the details on your piece of art, and refined the language part of things making sure your explanation was good. Then you worked on the science project wrapping up a couple slides, noticing that Jihoon also completed some slides.
Not needing to do anything else immediately, you reviewed the footage Jihoon gave you guys. Texting him a thank you he responded with a happy emoji and no problem.
Monday soon came and you handed in your art work and language assignment. Discussing with Jihoon what time you should meet at the library, you decided to meet at 5:00 for the next few days.
TIME SKIP TO LIBRARY HOURS (ER LIBRARY SCENES and other)
“OK Jihoon we have to finish three and a half more slides. We also cannot let our video fail too. We also need to practice but that can wait another day. We have a whole hour and twenty minutes to work on this today. LOCK INNNN ” you said kinda aggressively
Jihoon nodded and cracked his knuckles and got his laptop out. Opening yours up too you logged in and found your science presentation. Seeing Jihoons profile picture on his slide so you got onto your slide and worked on explaining the forces. After an hour and twenty minutes of complaining while working and yapping on how school sucks. You both had one more slide each to complete and had to film your video. Not to mention you had to practice a couple times.
Keyboard smashing you closed your laptops and bid farewell to Jihoon reminding him to get the materials needed for your video. Smiling he nodded enthusiastically saying “see you tomorrow!”
The next day at the same time, you set up your phone to record your science video. Jihoon prepared the materials for you to use at the same time.
Oh my gosh, did you underestimate the amount of tries you needed to retake. At this point you were thinking of quitting but Jihoon bribed you with candy so you continued and finally completed the video. There was no need for editing so you immediately put it in your slide deck.
Assuming this would be your last working session you finished your slide and reviewed the information you had on the slides fixing some information here and there.
“AYE I FINISHED MY SLIDES!!!” Jihoon yelled just a tad bit loud in the library. Shushing him immediately you saw the librarian give you a look. Both of you bowed then looked at each other then lost composure for a bit laughing at the moment.
Breathing deeply you focused yourself at the task at hand. You guys still had the time so you ran the presentation through. The first time you did it had a few bumps BUT it went smoothly the next time you did it.
The following sessions you had together were just you guys getting the hang of your presentation. Thinking that you're ready you slacked off on the last session and went out to buy some snacks.
At the nearest convenience store, you scanned the aisle for that one specific ice cream brand and your favorite flavour. Jihoon standing beside you grabbed an ice cream popsicle, while you reached for the bar you wanted. Heading to the cashier together you saw the flavor Jihoon got.
“Hold up.. ” you started
“Hold up what?” Jihoon aksed
“You actually like ice cream in the middle of your popsicle??” you said
“Yeah? You don't?" Jihoon made a face judging you
“No I don't actually. Damn i never saw anyone grab that in my life even if that was the last ice cream bar a store had left I would not- well i might get it depend on how desperate i am for ice cream” you responded
“Well i like it and dont hurt the ice creams feeling you know its hurt right now” pouting Jihoon said
Rolling your eyes you dragged mimicking Jihoon’s voice ”Yea,yea whatever im sorry ”
“YAH” Jihoon pinched you “You did not have to do that”
“MY BAD BRO FORGIVE ME” you joked laughing trying to swat Jihoons arms away from your arm.
Letting go Jihoon let out a “HMPH, ill forgive you if you buy ice cream though”
Sighing you reluctantly agreed handing the cashier the money. Exiting the store you split into different directions getting driven by your cousin who was around town.
Texting Jihoon a rolling you eye gif he replied with a sticking tongue out emoji.
Putting down your phone you opened the door thanking your cousin for dropping you off. Your parents asking you about the project in which you responded that it's going good and you were having fun with your partner.
The day of your presentations soon came and you and Jihoon “crushed it” according to your friends. Disagreeing with them you both said that it was an average presentation (it was not). Jihoon and you watched the other presentations and were nodding along showing that you were paying attention.
The school year soon came to an end. In your opinion after the start of the year everything felt like routine aside from the excitement of doing announcements or hanging out with your friends. The exam part of the year though was not fun….

SYNOPSIS: you and Woojin haven’t been getting along since your breakup. Everything changes when you get stuck in a small classroom with him.
Art class was tiresome as usual. Your teacher was droning on and on about a stupid partner project. Your eyes naturally glanced around. Some kid was picking his nose in one corner. Your eyes flickered – and some girls were gossiping as the teacher spoke. Your eyes locked with Woojin who was already staring at you. He made a face at you, before looking away. You rolled your eyes. He was so annoying, acting like he wasn’t caught first. But he looked.. good. You recently saw in Ryul's story that he got his braces removed. His lips weren’t constantly bruised and puffy anymore.
He got a trim, which was funny considering he promised you he’d never cut his hair. But things change right? Like how your relationship did. That version of him felt so familiar. It had you thinking – where exactly did it go wrong? When did everything become so complicated?
“Woojin, I just want you to make more time for me.” You sat on his bed. He was rushing around his room, stuffing all types of items in his duffle. “I mean I just got here and you’re already leaving.”
Woojin audibly sighed. “Babe, you showed up, announced. I still have training.” He ran a hand through his hair, frustration evident on his face. “I just wanted to surprise you. And you’re the one who told me you weren’t doing anything tomorrow.” You reminded him. Woojin fought the urge to roll his eyes. “Yeah, as in nothing else besides what I do everyday. Like.. training.”
You gritted your teeth. “I don’t want to argue.”
“So don’t.” Woojin followed up immediately. Silence. You both stared at each other in anger. “I’m not asking for something impossible, Woojin.”
He clicked his tongue. “I just want you to try. I mean you cancel the few dates we plan. You barely check up on me. And-”
“You think I don’t know that?” Woojin snapped, interrupting you. You exhaled sharply. “I know that Y/n. I’ve been so damn swamped lately. I don’t even have time for myself. It certainly doesn’t help when my own girlfriend is making me choose between her and my future.” He breathed heavily, as he looked at you in disbelief. You fought the urge to cry. “I’m not trying to make you choose.”
Woojin’s hands flexed at his sides. “I’m doing my best.”
“Well I guess your ‘best’ isn’t enough.” You stood, grabbing your stuff. “What does that mean?” His eyes trailed after you. You whipped your body around. Your chest rising up and down rapidly. Once again, silence. “So what, you’re just done?” Woojin chuckled, as if not taking you seriously. You opened your mouth to speak, but nothing came out. You hesitated, and that hesitation was enough. Woojin’s face tightened. “Woojin-”
"No, it’s fine," he cut in quickly. Too quickly. "I get it."
"You don’t."
"I do," he said, his voice rough. “I don’t want to keep begging you to choose me.” You said, softly. Almost pleading. “Find someone who will then.” That landed like a slap. Your eyes widened. “Yeah.” You said, your voice sharp. “Maybe I will.” You walked past him, your shoulders bumping as you stormed off.
Oh yeah. That was why. That was only six months ago. It’s crazy how fast time flies. You didn’t realize the way you were gnawing at your lips, and you certainly didn’t realize you were still staring at him. Woojin’s gaze was directed at the floor, fidgeting with his hair tie – clearly uncomfortable under your sharp, observing gaze.
You turned away, opting to face the window instead. You replayed that memory a hundred times in your head, wondering what you could’ve done, or said differently. Would you guys still be together? But you had to remind yourself there was no point beating a dead horse. Not anymore. “Alright.. Woojin andd… Y/n!” Your teacher announced. You snapped out of your trance. “Uh, what?”
Your teacher frowned at you. “Have you been listening this entire time?” You looked at the popsicle sticks she was holding in her hands with both of your names on it. “Woojin is your partner for the day. Try to.. convey your emotions through a canvas, double handed.”
“Double handed?” You repeated after her. “Yes. Y/n, will that be a problem?” She sighed. At this point the entire classroom's attention was pointed towards you. Before you could rebut, she moved on. You sunk in your chair. Ever since your.. unfortunate separation – the boy in question has been a total ass. From stealing your shared friends away, to making snarky comments when you walk by. It didn’t exactly make the situation anymore bearable.
But neither have you. It’s not like you were waiting around either. You made regrettable decisions as well. You snuck a glance at him. He was burning holes through the teacher's head, which didn’t help your nerves at all. Your stomach churned as you thought of all the possible outcomes this partnership would lead to. Would you cry? Kill him? Unfortunately, only time would tell.
Everybody was now standing in front of a canvas with their partner, left and right hand taped together to ensure teamwork. Sadly, you were not left handed. Your strokes were sloppy and unsteady. “Keep your arm on your side.” Woojin said, through gritted teeth. “I’m trying.” You huffed. It’s not like you were doing it on purpose. Apparently you can’t catch a break. “Well try harder.” He shot back.
You scoffed. “Sounds familiar.” You muttered. Woojin’s eyes slowly dragged towards you. “What?”
“Nothing.”
“No, please. If you have something to say – say it with your chest.” He turned to you abruptly, a flick of yellow paint landed on your cheek and uniform. You gasped. “You stained my shirt, asshole! This is not coming out.” You wiped it off your shirt, uncovering the nasty mark. “Speak louder next time.” His attention turned back to the canvas. You dragged your wrist down (dragging his as well), as you dipped into your paint bucket. “Hey!” Woojin yelled. And with a flick of your wrist, paint was all over his shirt too. Much larger than your stain. “Oops. Maybe stay out of my way next time.” You threw his messy logic back at him.
You guys both stared daggers at each other. He pushed his arm towards you, trying to get the paint brush all over your shirt. You pushed back, leaning away, the struggle evident as you both shot profanities at each other, gaining the attention of your peers and teacher. “Woojin! Y/n!” Your teacher yelled. You both turned to her, caught yellow handed.
“Is this going to be an issue?” She asked, sternly. “No.” You guys said in unison, promptly making faces at each other afterwards. “Good. I won’t warn you again.” She looked between you two, before walking away. “Nice job idiot.” Woojin glared at you.
“You started it!” You whisper-yelled back. “Oh please. YOU started it – referencing a freaking breakup that happened six months ago. Get over it.” Woojin snarled at you. Your breath hitched at his straightforward hostility. “Yeah,” You breathily laughed. “Because you’re over it, right?”
Woojin slightly froze. He didn’t answer immediately. “You really think I moved on first?”
“I’m not the one who was acting like I didn’t care. You’re the one who shut me out.”
His hand paused mid-stroke. That got his attention. “I shut you out?” he repeated, finally turning his head to you. “That’s funny.”
“Oh it’s funny?” Your grip tightened around the brush. “You told me to find someone else, Woojin.” His jaw ticked. “And you did a great job listening, didn’t you?”
“You don’t get to be angry. I followed your advice.” Woojin’s jaw clenched. Nothing came out of his mouth, because he knew you were right. “You walked away.” He reminded you. “There was nothing to walk away from. You made it clear there was nothing left for me in that relationship!” You turned to him. Your right elbow brushed against the canvas, causing it to rock.
“Be careful-”
Too late.
The canvas tipped.
Yellow paint splattered across Woojin’s shoes, your legs, and the floor in one loud, messy crash. Suddenly, the room went quiet. Your mouth gaped open at the mess in front of you. “Unbelievable.” Woojin shook his head.
“Y/n, Woojin. Outside. Now!’ Your teacher yelled. You ripped the tape off of your wrist, storming off. Woojin followed a few seconds later, rubbing his sore wrist as he tracked paint down the hallway. “Great job Y/n.” He said, sarcasm dripping from his tone. You exhaled from your nose, choosing to not engage. Your teacher came out. “Both of you, detention after school. I expect you to bring your butts to this very door the moment the last bell rings!” She yelled. “And unless you want an F for this assignment, you guys will stay bound during the duration of your punishment. Maybe you can convey your emotions with a rag and soap.” She said.
“Thats not fair-” Woojin cut in, but closed his mouth when the teacher gave him a stern look. “I don’t want to hear you guys assign blame. You guys are equally at fault.” She pointed her index finger at you guys.
You sighed. Today wasn’t going as planned at all. And it just got worse.
The entire day you were dealing with odd looks left and right. Your skin was stained with bright yellow paint, spots all over your shirt. And now, you had to return to where it all started. You pushed the sliding door open aggressively, walking in with attitude. Woojin looked up from his seat. “Took you long enough.” He muttered.
“Well I wasn’t exactly rushing to spend my afternoon hours stuck with you.” You spat back, taking a seat. Before further bickering began, your teacher entered. In her hand was a roll of tape. “I want this place spotless. When I enter this classroom tomorrow morning I better not see a speck of paint.” She enunciated. She pointed to the bucket of soap water and rags in the corner of the classroom, and made you tape yourself to Woojin before she left.
Silence echoed in the room. The tension was heavy as you guys stared at the cleaning supplies in front of you. “Let's just get this over with.” Woojin mumbled. You briefly glanced at him, nodding in agreement. You guys got to work, but immediately things started to go wrong. Woojin pulled your wrist in his direction back and forth, causing you to lose balance, your right hand flailing. “Stop pulling so much.”
“I can’t.” Woojin emphasized. “Use your other hand!” You yelled. “No, that's going to take longer.” He replied. You felt like steam was coming out of your head. You continued to scrub diligently, trying to ignore the fact that you were being pulled in a different direction every other second.
You had enough when woojin tugged too hard, causing you to stumble into the bucket beside you. You gasped in shock. Ice cold water spilled all over your thighs, and legs. Your clothes clung uncomfortably to your skin as soapy yellow water dripped from your legs, reactivating the paint stains already scattered across your uniform. Woojin froze as he just stared at you. “You are unbelievable.” You breathed, voice shaking with frustration. “It was clearly an accident!” Woojin defended. “I already told you to stop tugging!”
“It’s not that serious.”
Something in you snapped at the way he undermined his actions.
“Nothing is ever your fault huh?” You spat. It was so silent a pin could drop. Woojin knew you weren’t just talking about crashing into a bucket because of him. It was deeper than that.
Woojin's eyes fluttered to the side. His tongue poked through his cheek. He looked at you once again, exasperated. “Sorry. Now can we finish this up?”
“Sorry for what exactly? For ruining my entire day? Stringing me along for a year?” You pressed. “I never strung you along!” Woojin threw his rag on the floor. It shocked you, your eyes widening at his anger.
“My feelings were never fake. So stop acting like I never cared because I did!” Woojin huffed. His outburst took you by surprise. You parted your lips to say something, but you were at a loss for words. "Woojin I-"
flicker.
The lights shut off. "What the hell?" Woojin spoke, looking up.
The hallway lights turned off too. That's when you heard a click at the door. "No no no no." You repeated as you stumbled towards the door. You attempted to slide it open but it wasn't budging.
"Woojin we're stuck!" You said, fear struck.
Woojin came to the door. "Let me try."
He pulled the door with all his strength, his face scrunching up. Woojin sighed as he let up. "Hello?!" You yelled as you banged on the door. "We're still here!" You knocked rapidly. But it seemed Woojin accepted his fate, his back slid against the wall as he sat down.
"Our phones! We can call for help." You remembered. "They're still in the principal's office." Woojin quickly reminded you. Your face dropped. You guys were really stuck. "This can't be happening." You sat on the floor. Realization finally settling in. You might be locked up for a long time.
"I don't understand why the Janitor locked up early though." Woojin furrowed his brows as he nibbled on his nail. "It's Friday." You said, tone flat.
"Ah.. right."
Awkward silence filled the room. You mentally weighed the pros and cons of the situation. But there weren't any pros that came to mind.
The classroom was getting colder by the minute. It didn’t help that your clothes were still damp. You crossed your arms tightly over your chest, but it did little to help. A violent shiver ran through you, and your teeth began to chatter.
“You’re shivering.” Woojin said, who was analyzing you the entire time. You glanced at him briefly, annoyance painted all over your face. “I’m not.”
“And I’m not covered in paint.” Woojin said sarcastically. “Let. It. Go.” You said slowly before looking away, your arms tightening.
But that didn’t help you stop shivering. Woojin sighed loudly before coming over to you. You looked up at him warily as he sat down next to you. He took off his jacket, putting on top of you two like a blanket.
“What are you doing?” You looked at him weirdly. “What do you think?” He snapped back quickly.
It did help. You did feel warmer. But something in your chest didn’t allow you to accept his kindness so easily. So what did you do? Pick a fight of course.
“You didn’t need to do that.” You muttered. “Well I decided to. You shiver pretty loudly. And it’s annoying.” Woojin rolled his eyes.
“Yeah? And who needs your pity anyway?” You sat forward. “I’m sorry your highness, would you rather die from the cold?”
“Maybe I would!”
“Well, be my guest!” Woojin began to stand up. “Wait!” You grabbed his arm. His eyebrows raised, as if telling you to hurry up and plead your case before he leaves you to shiver to death. “.. it’s your fault I’m so cold anyway. You spilled water on me.” You swallowed.
Woojin scoffed before sitting back down. “..that’s what I thought.” He mumbled to himself. You wanted to bite back so bad but you knew better.
So there you were, stuck in a small, dark classroom pressed shoulder to shoulder with your ex boyfriend in a stiffening silence. The clock now read six p.m which meant you’ve been stuck here for three hours. You were deep in thought when Woojin suddenly spoke up. “Stop chewing your lips.” He glanced briefly at you. You paused immediately. It was a bad habit you developed a long time ago. It was also something he was constantly reminding you to stop doing when you were together.
Some things never change.
“Stop looking at me like that.” Woojin said uncomfortably as he shifted. A small smile found itself on your face, one that didn’t go unnoticed.
“You still fidget with your hair tie.” You quietly replied. Woojin shook his head. “Only because all the ones I have belong to you.” He slipped.
Both of you froze. You weren’t expecting that, at all. It was a small detail you forgot with time. “I mean- it’s just that-” Woojin fumbled.
“Stop.” You looked down. He swallowed.
“..I get it.” You said. “I mean it’s not like I don’t wear your t-shirts to sleep still.” You shrugged. It should’ve been embarrassing to admit. But you didn’t care anymore. You were stuck in this dumb room with Woojin, and suddenly all your walls were breaking down. And so was his. “But only sometimes.” You added, letting him know to not let it go to his head.
He smiled. “Old habits die hard I guess.”
You nodded in agreement. “I wonder when someone will notice we’re missing.” You said. “It’s almost seven. What if my parents are trying to get hold of me but they can’t?” You pondered. “Then that’d be pretty troublesome.” Woojin replied, stating the obvious.
“..but. We’ll be fine. At least we’ll be able to guilt trip ms. into giving us an easy A right?” Woojin smiled. You laughed. “That’s true. If she doesn’t give us a good grade after this we’ll have a serious problem.” You giggled.
Woojin looked at you fondly. His face slowly relaxed. His head tilted back as he stared at the ceiling.
Silence fell again. But it felt heavy. Then almost like he didn’t mean to say it out loud—
“Did you really think I just.. stopped caring?” Woojin blurted.
You blinked. He didn’t look at you when he said it. You shifted slightly under the jacket, suddenly more aware of how close he actually was.
Woojin let out a short breath through his nose, like he was already annoyed at himself for bringing it up.
“I didn’t know what to think.. I still don’t.” You said quietly.
Woojin swallowed. “It was hard for me too. It’s not like my feelings just disappeared. We were together for a whole year.”
“That’s just not what happened.” Woojin shook his head. “So what happened then?” You asked, peering at him.
Woojin refused to look at you as his feelings poured out of him. “I miss you everyday. It was easier to act like I didn’t care than to actually confront how I felt.” Woojin began.
“When you were walking away, I wanted nothing more to pull you back and never let go.”
“Then why didn’t you?” You interrupted. “It felt like I was the only one fighting for our relationship.” You felt angry just thinking about it.
But Woojin didn’t take offense. His face was still sitting straight. “I honestly don’t know.”
You pursed your lips. It wasn’t a good answer and he knew that. “I guess I was just scared. Thought it was better to let you go.” He finally looked up at you.
“I never wanted to hurt you.”
His eyes softened. You didn’t know how to react to him being vulnerable. “I could never move on how you did.”
“Oh please. Don’t even start.” You scoffed.
“I’m not. I didn’t mean it like that.” Woojin defended himself. “But I still don’t get it.”
“Get what?”
“How you could act like we broke up so long ago. Do you know how I felt, hearing from our mutual friends that you’ve been on dates? Or that you were talking to someone? It felt like what we had meant nothing.” He faltered.
“Woojin, I never moved on. I was trying to get over you because I didn’t want to think about it anymore.” You replied. “Well, have you?” Woojin asked. “Have you gotten over me?”
You didn’t answer immediately. “Have you moved on?”
You asked each other two loaded questions that neither wanted to answer. “I asked first.” Woojin narrowed his eyes on you.
“Well I’m not answering first.”
“That gives away your answer anyway.” Woojin grinned. “Oh please. And you’re so sure of yourself?” You quipped.
“Positive.” Woojin quipped back. You both stared at each other. “Well I know your answer too.” You crossed your arms under the jacket.
“Do you?”
“I do.”
There it was. That natural bickering, like nothing ever happened. It felt like everything was back to normal for a moment. Like you guys never broke up. “For your information, I never moved on from you. It hasn’t been that long anyway.” Woojin looked into your eyes as he admitted his feelings.
You knew, but it felt good to hear. “Don’t grin so cheekily.” He mumbled. “What? I’m not.” You smiled. “Well anyway, I feel the same.”
“What is ‘the same’? Put it into words.” He nudged you. “Fine. I never got over you Woojin. How could I when you plagued my mind every moment of the day? When I was reminded of you in everything I saw.” You said in an animated way. “Is that what you wanted to hear?” You cocked your head to the side.
“Tsk. Something like that.” Woojin rolled his eyes.
It dawned on you how close you’ve gotten. Faces inches from each other as you stared into each other's eyes. Neither of you made the first move. You swallowed as the tension was getting deeper. Woojin inched closer, as if he was unsure. “Just kiss me.” You whispered.
And that’s all it took. It was a chaste kiss at first. Like you guys were relearning your rhythm. He held your hand under the jacket.
Your eyes fluttered open as he pulled back.
No one said anything. “Does this mean..?” Woojin trailed off.
“No. I mean. I don’t know.” You panicked. “I just don’t think we should rush anything. I don’t want to get h-” you stopped yourself from completing the sentence. “I get it. We don’t have to act like nothing happened. We’ll work towards it.” He squeezed your hand. You smiled at him.
“So can I kiss you again..?” Woojin smirked. “Do you even have to ask?” You rolled your eyes. Woojin leaned once more, kissing you. Suddenly — the door slid open. You both jumped from each other immediately.
“Uhm. I was informed some students were still here.” The janitor scratched his head.
Finally done with this writing.. it’s not even that long but it took me awhile to get it written out! Anyway I’m just glad to have something written out for woojin nowww
anyway if you’ve made it this far thanks for reading!

── ✶ 𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐎𝐆𝐔𝐄 & 𝐓𝐀𝐆𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐓
You hopped a little on your heels, clutching your bag tightly in your hands. The smell of salt water filled your nostrils, even though you weren’t near the ocean.
You checked your watch for the fifteenth time. 5:52 p.m. You sighed; there were still exactly seven minutes left before you’d see Jihoon.
You gripped the handle of your bag, looking around. You were nervous, yes. And looking around helped distract you; admiring the green of the trees, the children playing… It all helped. Even if that last thing reminded you of who you were going to see.
You’d made plans with Jihoon that afternoon for one of his— and soon yours too—favorite activities: going to the aquarium. And you were nervous because it was your first time going out with him outside of school, outside of your group of friends. Usually, he was very busy with dance classes and you were busy too with your studies and the swim team, so there was no way to see each other outside of the school setting.
Until that day.
Jihoon had been given the day off after a super intense performance, and you needed a break from that mountain of homework.
So he asked if you wanted to go with him to his favorite place in the world, and… well, the rest is history. Because that was the reason you were there.
You hopped on your heels again, and glanced at your watch. 5:55 p.m. Why was time passing so slowly? Maybe you shouldn’t have come fifteen minutes early…
However, luckily for you, in the distance you could see a guy half-running, half-walking down the street. Black hair, a bag slung over his shoulder, and piercings in his ears. With that tousled hair and that carefree smile, it couldn’t be anyone other than Jihoon.
It could also be because he was heading toward you pretty fast. He had really long legs. If it weren’t Jihoon, you’d actually be really scared.
“Yyynnn!!” he greeted you, with his dazzling smile, drawing out the consonants of your name. He only stopped walking when he’d reached right in front of you.
“Hi, hi, Jihoon.” You smiled back at him, waving your hand in greeting as well. You were still a little nervous, even though you’d loosened your grip on the bag.
“It’s been a while since I’ve seen you,” you added. “You’ve been so busy lately…” you teased him a little.
He pouted. “You too! We have terrible schedules; nothing ever works out, really… The universe hates us.”
You laughed, because you knew for a fact that it was true.
Jihoon, however, sighed. A smile spread across his lips as he saw you laugh.
“But hey, at least I have you here with me today. I’ve missed you, even though I’m glad you’re focusing on your studies and blah blah blah…”
A laugh escaped your lips again. You weren’t sure what it was—the joke, the confession, or his smile—but at that very moment, all your nervousness vanished. It was just you and him now. And nothing else.
You looked at him fondly. After all, Jihoon was that kind of person. The kind of person who just wanted to make others laugh.
“Thanks…? I guess.” You replied in a questioning tone. “I’m glad to see you again, too. Since all you’ve been doing lately is dancing…” you teased him.
“Hey! That’s not true…!”
“Yeah, right… as if I weren’t with you in class every day. You are a walking distraction.” You playfully punched him in the arm, smiling mischievously.
He rolled his eyes, trying not to smile. “Okay, man,” he grumbled.
You laughed. “Shall we go in?”
His gaze then turned to the metal door adorned with fish, jellyfish, and sharks. He smiled, but his cheeks also flushed a pale pink.
“Hm.” He nodded, casually taking your hand as he started walking. You felt yourself melting under his touch. Oh my gosh. “Come on, at this rate they’ll close up on us,” he urged, tugging you along.
“Jihoon, it’s six o’clock,” you complained, though you didn’t put up much of a fight.
“Well, that’s exactly why!”
And all you could do was run after him.
🐟
The hallways were dark, and there were fewer people than you’d expected. Jihoon had told you it was usually much more crowded.
Maybe it was the time of day, and Jihoon was right that it was late.
You walked through the entire aquarium, watching the fish cautiously. Many of them amused you. Especially if they looked like someone you knew.
“Look, Jihoon!” you called out to him from inside the tube, surrounded by sea creatures and water. You pointed to a yellow fish with a funny face that was swimming in circles. “It looks just like you.”
He frowned, squinting, and smiled as he came over to where you were. “What are you talking about? That one doesn’t look anything like me.”
“Why not?” you retorted.
“Because it’s ugly.” He pouted.
You opened your mouth wide. “Jihoon! Don’t say that in front of him, man!” You playfully hit him on the arm. “Poor little thing…”
“Ouch! But he doesn’t even understand me!”
You shook your head, as if you were disappointed (even though you were clearly faking it). “That’s how you get fish complexes, just so you know.”
“Oh—! But hey—!” he complained, though you were already looking at the stingrays a few steps away, ignoring him.
He stopped talking then, and when he looked at you closely, he was left… speechless. For the first time in a long time. Perhaps it was the time of day—the sun was shining through the water tanks and illuminating part of your face as you watched the marine life in front of you with enthusiasm. The sun caressed your features, making you look unreal for a brief moment, and, according to Jihoon, your eyes even shone brighter than the star. You looked like someone who belonged to a tiny part of the sea, rather than a still, cylindrical tube.
Jihoon was left speechless beyond that. He didn’t know what to say. Although that always happened to him around you. It was only natural.
His heart began to race, his lips parted slightly, and a look that his friends would have called strange graced his face. (I’ll tell you this much: that look contained nothing but pure admiration, and perhaps, beneath all those layers, it took on a tender, loving meaning. For you. Even if you never realized it (you’d have to be blind not to, though…).)
You were beautiful. It was impossible not to fall for you—that’s what he thought.
He cleared his throat then, shaking off those thoughts and the blush that was beginning to rise to his cheeks as he shook his head from side to side.
As if that would help…
“Ahem, what are you looking at?” he whispered, approaching from behind and leaning forward, trying his hardest to focus on the fish and not on you. (So far, that wasn’t going well.)
You looked him in the eyes, used to his sudden appearances.
“That,” you pointed to a manta ray, dark in color but with a beautiful pattern. Jihoon’s gaze followed your finger, catching a glimpse of the animal floating peacefully by. “When I grow up, I want to be like a manta ray.”
A silly little laugh escaped Jihoon’s lips. “When you grow up?”
“Or in my next life. It must be amazing to live under the sea and see so many wonderful things that I can’t see right now… and.. be free, you know?”
Jihoon’s smile softened. “I’m sure you’d be the coolest one of them all.”
You laughed a little. “Well, if you put it that way… Thanks. You’d definitely be one of those jellyfish that aren’t scary and don’t do anything. They’re just funny.”
“Hey!” He complained again, giving you a gentle nudge. “The ‘fried egg’ jellyfish?”
You nodded. “Those, those! I mean, how could those scare you with a name like that?”
He laughed. “True.” His gaze drifted toward the huge water tank.
“I just hope that when we’re reborn or become one, we can stay together,” he said, lost in thought.
Your gaze, however, was fixed on him. A smile blossomed on your lips. It was simple. Tiny. But it held within it much more than you’d ever be able to express in words.
“Me too. Who else would I hang out with, anyway?”
Jihoon burst out laughing, throwing his head back. “You’re right. I don’t know who else could put up with you.” He nodded, giving you a gentle tap on the head.
“Hey!” you complained, laughing.
But that was also the best part of being with Jihoon; you knew you’d never be too much for him.
🐟
The end of the visit had come, and after an intense yap from Jihoon about why the Aurelia aurita jellyfish was overrated—during which you just listened intently, lost in his eyes—it was time to say goodbye. Or rather, goodbye to the fish.
Because Jihoon didn’t want to leave.
And certainly, neither did you.
Honestly, no.
So you took the opportunity to grab his arm and drag him toward the souvenir shop. You knew Jihoon probably knew the shop inside and out, but you’d never been there before. You didn’t have the time or the money. You were just excited about it. (And I’ll tell you this: Jihoon would go with you even if it meant jumping into an erupting volcano.)
He resisted, complaining and frowning deeply. Still, you both knew it was all an act. It was easy to tell just from how little resistance he put up as he walked. If he’d wanted to stand his ground, no one could have budged him. But he was still Jihoon. And Jihoon would always go with you.
The store was relatively large and had a ton of different stuffed animals representing the various creatures at the aquarium. Plus keychains, tacky notebooks, even more random pens… It was a visual feast.
“WOW!” you exclaimed, pointing at the stuffed animal in front of you. “Did you see that?”
Jihoon tilted his head. “That turtle? Do you really want a turtle?”
“What’s wrong with it?” you asked, frowning. “I like it.”
“You like the whole store, Yn,” he said, laughing.
Your face relaxed, and you shrugged. “Why deny it?” you agreed.
You kept looking for a little while longer, even though you’d already come to the conclusion that since you couldn’t take everything, you wouldn’t take anything. Well… at least until you saw those necklaces.
They were tucked away a bit next to the cash register; they were gold and silver in color and relatively small, but beautiful. Plus, there were designs of various animals, including a jellyfish and a manta ray. It was perfect.
“Jihoon!” you called out, heading over to where the necklaces were.
He, who had been checking out a new jellyfish plushie they’d brought in, turned around with a big question mark written all over his face. “What’s up? Do you already know what you want to get?” he asked you.
You nodded enthusiastically.
“Yes. I want that.” You pointed to the little gems, and Jihoon once again followed the direction of your finger. “The only thing is… it would be cool if we each had one. Only if you like them too, of course.”
He looked at them again, taking a closer look. “They’re pretty, I think. I don’t know much about this stuff, but I like them. They’re cool.”
“Really?!” you asked, smiling from ear to ear. “Perfect! I want a jellyfish.”
“Hey!! Animal thief!” he complained, half-jokingly. You followed suit, laughing but shrugging and sticking out your tongue.
Jihoon sighed.
“I guess I’ll take the manta ray then.” He smiled.
And that smile was worth a thousand words. It made you feel like you were on Earth one moment and on Jupiter the next. A wave of happiness suddenly washed over you. It wasn’t loud, but rather quieter, calmer. As if none of it were real and you were going to wake up any moment. And you knew you were happy because no matter where you looked, it just made you smile. Because it already reminded you of him. Of Jihoon.
You paid without a second thought—even though Jihoon offered to pay five hundred times and you refused the five hundred and first time, ending up paying for his as well in a moment of absent-mindedness. Just for a bit of harmless payback.
And when you held the little jellyfish charm in your hands, your smile widened. Now you were carrying another memento of him with you.
“Should I put it on for you?” he asked, already stepping out of the store.
You nodded, with a smile that simply conveyed your happiness to him. “Please, yes.”
You handed him the necklace and brushed your hair aside so he could put it on you properly. Suddenly he was close—much closer than he usually was—breathing on the nape of your neck. And yet, the closeness didn’t make you feel uncomfortable. In fact, it just made you feel right at home.
“All done,” he said a minute later, and when you turned around, you noticed his gaze lingered a little longer than usual on you. Admiring you, rather. “It looks great on you,” he nodded, breathless.
“Thanks,” you smiled. “Oh my gosh, it’s gorgeous.” You did a twirl. You felt pretty. Felt just right.
“Do you want me to put yours on for you?” you asked afterward.
Jihoon shook his head, winking at you. “I already put mine on.”
Surprise flashed across your face, but soon laughter bubbled out. “When? You’re so sneaky.”
He laughed too, though a little more quietly than you. “Nothing—when you weren’t looking. What can I say? I just couldn’t resist the urge to take you with me always and forever.” He joked, even though you both knew he was dead serious.
“I’m glad to have you with me, too. Now we’ll always be connected and all that.”
Jihoon nodded. A warm feeling in his chest.
“Yeah. Always.”
And needless to say, Jihoon never took that manta ray off his neck again. Not, because it had been a gift from you.
And no, because now you were connected. He guessed he’d be stuck forever with that manta ray.

the first thing you felt when you woke up was warmth, the second thing was that you couldn't move..
you opened one eye and immediately regretted it when the bright sunlight hit you in your face
you groaned softly as you tried to roll over,
but.. you couldn't
ohyul's arm was wrapped around your waist like a seatbelt, a very stubborn seatbelt to be exact
you glanced down at his hand, which was literally gripping you like a little stressball
you tried to wring yourself out of his grip, without success because ohyul didn't even move one inch
you carefully tried lifting up his arm, nothing, you pushed his hand, still nothing..
how was he asleep but at the same time actively preventing your escape?
you tried again, but this time his grip somehow tightened
you sighed out loud, staring at the ceiling in defeat
a sleepy mumble came from behind you, “stop moving,”
“im trying to get up,”
“why?”
you slowly turned your head, his eyes were still closed, his hair was messy but somehow he looked more comfortable than ever
“because its morning,”
there was no reaction whatsoever and you snorted softly, “ohyul, let me go,”
“no,”
you rolled your eyes, trying to free yourself once again, “you can sleep more,”
eventually, after minutes of negotiations that felt strangely similar to hostage discussions, he finally loosened his grip,
you slipped out of his arms, sighing in your quiet victory,
“where are you going?”
you looked over your shoulder and ohyul had one eye open, desperately trying to fight the morning sun,
“downstairs,”
he groaned dramatically before burying his face into the pillow, “why?”
“i’m wide awake,”
“way too early,”
“it’s not early,”
he groaned again, “agree to disagree,”
but within seconds he was asleep again, which was honestly impressive
you shook your head as you threw on one of your big hoodies, before leaving the room,
the house was already noticeably louder downstairs, voices drifted from the kitchen, laughter, someone arguing and someone else definitely losing an argument (which is probably woonhak lets be real)
you followed the noise and walked into the kitchen,
ryul spotted you first and his eyes widened, then a grin spread across his face,
yk that grin always meant trouble..
“oh my god,”
you stopped walking, “stop it’s way too early for this,”
“OH MY GOD,” he yelled again,
“ryul!!,”
“good morninggggg princess,” he sang a little too excited,
“stop,”
leehan looked up from his cereal, “what’s happening?”
ryul pointed at you, “look who’s finally awake,”
jaehyun glanced over, “what’s going on, why are you being weird,”
“i’m not acting weird,” ryul dramatically placed a hand over his heart, “my best friend is growing up,”
you closed your eyes, bracing yourself for whatever he was going to say next,
“you disappeared during movie night,”
“and?”
“and you guys were a little too eager to get upstairs afterwards,
“and?”
“and now you’re walking funny,”
“RYUL!”
the kitchen erupted into laughter, leehan almost choked, jaehyun physically had to put his cup down and ryul looked incredibly pleased with himself, as always
“i’m just saying,”
“you should deadass just stop saying things sometimes,”
before you could throw something at him, ryul held his hands up in surrender, “ok ok i’ll stop,” he blurted out, “..for now,”
you rolled your eyes as you made yourself a cup of coffee,
which you then took outside to enjoy the little morning breeze on the terrace,
the other guys snickered as ryul was still muttering some jokes under his breath,
not soon after, another set of footsteps echoed through the hallway,
everyone looked up as ohyul walked into the kitchen looking half asleep,
“good morning,” woonhak said,
“it’s barely morning,” ohyul muttered,
his eyes scanned the room, once, twice and then a third time,
leehan smirked, “your girl is outside,”
ohyul blinked, “okay?”
“just letting you know,”
“i didn’t ask where she was,”
ryul immediately pointed at him, “yeah but you were definitely looking for her,”
“i was looking around,”
“you certainly weren’t looking for taesan,”
“taesan isn’t even here,”
“exactly,”
ohyul stared at him and ryul stared back,
woonhak sighed, “not this again.”
“you looked around the room like a lost puppy,”
“i looked around once,”
“3 times,”
“you counted?”
“absolutely,” ryul shot back,
“get a hobby dude,”
“watching you is my hobby,” ryul smirked,
“that’s concerning,”
everyone laughed, ohyul rolled his eyes but couldn’t quite hide the smile tugging at the corner of his mouth,
unfortunately for him, ryul noticed,
“look at him smiling,”
“i’m not smiling,”
“you literally are,”
“leave me alone,”
“make me,” ryul pushed, way too pleased again,
“gladly,”
“for the first time it’s not woonhak throwing a tantrum, can we have some morning peace for once?” jaehyun laughed, pointing between them
“no,” they answered simultaneously
a little while later, after breakfast and several arguments that somehow started with toast and ended with ryul being threatened with bodily harm, everyone gathered in the living room,
woonhak, the proud owner of the house stood in front of the group, “okay,” he clapped his hands together, “we need a plan,”
“finally,” jaehyun said, “i’m bored,”
“dude you’ve been awake for 40 minutes,”
the bickering never stopped but at this point it’s just another normal morning,
everyone found a place to sit and you headed for an empty spot on one of the couches, except before you could sit down, a hand caught the sleeve of your hoodie
you glanced back, ohyul (ofc)
he didn’t even look at you, his attention remained on whatever conversation woonhak was having,
he just tugged lightly, the universal equivalent of ‘come here’
you stared at him, “seriously?”
“mhm,”
that was all you got, a single hum,
you chuckled as you looked at the perfectly available seat beside him, then at him and then back at the seat for the dramatic moment,
“there’s literally space,”
“i know,”
“then why are you-“
another small tug, just a little more impatient this time,
you rolled your eyes but sat down anyway and the second you did, he shifted slightly,
not enough to make a big deal out of it but yk just enough that your thigh ended up pressed against his,
his arm settled along the back of the couch behind you, it was comfortable and way too natural, like he’d done it a hundred times before
and maybe that was the problem, because nobody said anything, but everybody noticed
you could feel it,
especially when the room suddenly became a little too quiet,
you glanced across the room, ryul was staring, leehan was staring, jaehyun was staring and even woonhak looked mildly entertained
“what?” you asked,
“nothing,” ryul answered immediately,
which meant absolutely something,
“why are you looking at me like that?”
“i’m not,”
“you are,”
“i’m literally sitting here,”
“you’re smiling weirdly,”
“maybe i’m happy,”
“that’s even more weird,”
meanwhile, ohyul couldn’t have looked less concerned even if he tried,
he leaned back into the couch, completely relaxed and unbothered by whatever was happening, like there weren’t 4 people silently witnessing whatever this was,
like having you tucked against his side was the most normal thing in the world,
when ryul continued staring, ohyul finally looked over,
“do you need something?”
“no,”
“then stop looking at me,”
“i wasn’t looking at you,”
“you were,”
“i was looking at her,”
without missing a beat, ohyul shifted slightly, just enough to block part of ryul’s view and the room exploded,
“OH MY GOD,”
“you’re insane,” woonhak laughed,
“i didn’t even do anything,”
“you literally shielded her,”
“from what?”
“from my eyes,”
“good,”
“okay,” woonhak said again, clapping his hands together as he was trying to get everyone’s attention one more time, “we’re going to the big lake,”
immediate chaos (which is a standard at this point)
“the one with the trails?” jaehyun asked,
“and paddleboards?” leehan added,
“and the giant rope swing?” ryul asked,
taesan pointed at him, “you’re not allowed near the rope swing,”
“why?”
“because last summer you tried to do a backflip,”
“and?”
“you landed on a kayak bro,”
for the next 10 minutes, nobody actually planned anything, they just argued,
somehow the discussion shifted from paddleboarding to whether ryul should legally be supervised at all times,
eventually after several threats and a lot of yelling, you finally settled on spending the day at the lake,
hiking, swimming, paddleboards, food, the whole thing
“you get 20 minutes,” sungho announced, “go change,”
everyone immediately got up and the living room emptied within seconds,
well,
almost, because the moment you stepped into the hallway, a hand found yours,
you didn’t even have to look,
“ohyul,”
“mhm,” he walked beside you toward the stairs, “let’s not go,”
you laughed, “what?”
“let’s stay here,”
“all day?”
“yeah,”
“and do what exactly?”
“nothing,”
you looked over but he looked completely serious,
“they’ll notice,”
“i don’t care,”
“i know you don’t,”
“then what’s the problem?”
you snorted, “the problem is that we’re here with friends,”
“so what?”
“ohyul,”
“please,”
“did you just say please?” you gasped playfully,
“don’t make this harder than it already is,”
you laughed again, but he sounded genuinely offended by the existence of plans,
“we spent the entire night together,”
“that was not long enough,”
your smile betrayed you because the second he saw it, he looked smug again,
“see, you want to stay too,”
“maybe,” you chuckled, “but we’re still going,”
“traitor,”
“you’ll survive, we’re gonna have fun,”
“that’s still debatable,”
the second you reached your room, he dramatically flopped backward onto the bed, “tell everyone i died,”
“from what?”
“being abandoned,”
you laughed as you threw a random shirt at him, “go get dressed,”
somehow, dividing into cars caused almost as many arguments as planning the trip itself,
ryul wanted to drive but nobody trusted him, which resulted in ryul being offended but everybody else was terrified,
the drive itself was loud, there was music blasting, the windows were down, people singing lyrics incorrectly on purpose,
woonhak filming everything for memories and then there’s ryul filming everything for blackmail,
overall very normal friend behavior,
when you finally arrived, the lake looked straight out of a postcard,
there was sunlight reflected off the water and the mountains stretched across the horizon,
the air smelled clean and peaceful..
for approximately 30 seconds, then ryul pushed someone into the water and peace was over,
the day itself passed in a blur, there was swimming, arguing over paddleboards, arguing while on paddleboards and arguing because of paddleboards
you quickly realized everyone in this friend group was incapable of existing peacefully, peace was definitely not part of the itinerary,
you ended up on a paddleboard at one point, laughing so hard you nearly fell in while ryul kept deliberately rocking everyone else’s boards just to cause chaos
woonhak tried to organize a group photo and gave up within seconds, sungho became an unofficial referee for arguments that didn’t need refereeing
and through all of it, ohyul stayed close in a way that never quite felt deliberate, but never felt accidental either..
a hand on your back when passing by, your drink appearing in front of you before you even asked, standing a little too close when there was absolutely no reason to,
you noticed every time and so did everyone else tho
ryul noticed the most, of course and in absolute ryul style he made it everyone’s problem
by late afternoon, the energy had shifted, everything felt slower, people started drifting back toward the house in small groups, sunburnt and tired in the best way
the bbq was already being set up when you arrived back
there was a smell of grilled meat mixed with the faint scent of lake water and smoke, the kind of combination that somehow makes everything feel like summer even when it isn’t
someone started music again and chairs were pulled into a loose circle near the fire pit,
sungho and ohyul ended up at the grill together, mostly because nobody trusted anyone else near open flame
you were talking with the others when ryul leaned in slightly, grinning, “your boyfriend’s working hard,”
you almost choked on your drink, “my what?”
“don’t act like you didn’t hear me,”
you followed his gaze, ohyul was standing by the grill, sleeves pushed up slightly, focused on flipping meat onto a plate sungho was holding
he looked annoyingly calm for someone handling fire and ryul’s commentary existing nearby,
as if he felt your eyes, his gaze lifted and he met yours across the space,
and then, without breaking his conversation with sungho, he nodded slightly toward you, like a silent call saying ‘come here’
you sighed, already walking before you fully decided to,
“hold this,” he said when you reached him, placing a plate into your hands
“you’re very demanding today,”
“i know,”
“that’s not a good thing,”
“didn’t say it was,” he smirked turning back to the grill, carefully placing a few more pieces of meat before checking them like he actually cared about perfection
you stayed beside him without thinking too much about it, because honestly it was just easier that way,
after a moment, he leaned slightly closer, like it was instinct rather than intention and pressed a quick kiss to your temple,
it was soft and brief but in the most domestic way possible,
“you should eat well,” he said,
you blinked at him, “you’re bossing me around again,”
“because i care,” he chuckled, looking at you like the answer was obvious,
you didn’t respond immediately,
but behind you, someone made a noise that sounded suspiciously like suffering and you could only guess it was ryul
later, when everything had been eaten and conversations had slowed into that post f ood calm, someone suggested a game
it didn’t really matter what game,
what mattered was that ryul immediately lost and ohyul joined him on the losing side after a very unfortunate round that involved bad luck and worse decisions
“this is rigged,” ryul yelled immediately,
“it’s literally not,” woonhak said,
“this is discrimination!!!!”
the penalty decision was made without further discussion; they would clean and the rest of you would “supervise” which really meant disappearing into different corners of the property and pretending not to notice..
you ended up outside again, this time with one of the girls from the group, both of you sitting near the edge of the lake, watching the reflection of the house lights ripple across the water perfectly,
it was quiet in a way the rest of the day hadn’t been (thanks to the guys)
you were halfway through a story when you noticed footsteps approaching from behind, she noticed too,
she glanced up first and the second she recognized who it was, a knowing smile spread across her face
before you could even ask what that expression meant, she was already getting to her feet,
“where are you going?” you asked,
“inside,”
you narrowed your eyes, “why??”
she simply laughed, brushing imaginary dust from her clothes before taking a step backward, “have fun,”
“with what?”
instead of answering, she looked past you toward ohyul, then she disappeared into the house before you could stop her,
you turned around just in time to find him standing a few feet away, his hands were shoved into the pockets of his hoodie, hair still slightly messy from where the wind had been playing with it all evening,
for a moment, neither of you said anything, the lake behind him reflected the moonlight, everything felt strangely quiet after a day spent surrounded by people,
“what?” you finally asked,
ohyul’s gaze flickered toward the empty chair beside you, then back to you, “move,”
you stared, “excuse me?”
“move,” he repeated, a slight smirk already forming,
“that’s not a complete sentence,”
“you know what i mean,”
you looked at the perfectly empty chair, then at him, “there’s another seat
“i know,”
“then use it,”
but he didn’t ofc, instead, he held out one hand, waiting, completely confident that you’d eventually give in, which annoyingly, you did
“still so demanding,” you scoffed,
a smile tugged at the corner of his mouth as he took your hand and pulled you to your feet, the second he sat down, his arm wrapped around your waist and guided you down with him,
you let out a startled laugh, “ohyul-“
“what?”
“there was another chair,”
“so?”
“so why am i here?l
he settled back comfortably, one arm around your waist and the other draped over the armrest, as if this arrangement made perfect sense (it did to him)
“because i wanted you here,”
the answer was so simple that it caught you off guard, there was no teasing, no smug grin, just honesty, like he genuinely hadn’t considered any other option,
for a moment, all you could do was look at him then you rolled your eyes and leaned back against him anyway, which only made him smile
for a while, neither of you spoke, it didn’t really feel necessary
his presence was warm behind you, steady in a way that made everything else feel far away but then he shifted slightly,
his chin resting near your shoulder,
“tired?” you asked quietly,
“no,”
“you look tired,”
“i’m not,”
you hummed like you didn’t believe him buf he didn’t argue further,
instead, his hand slid gently to your waist, holding you there like he had no intention of letting you move even if you tried,
and then, slowly, he leaned in, his lips brushed your shoulder first, it was light and testing, then again, a little higher this time, near the line of your neck,
your breath caught before you could stop it, he paused, just for a second, like he was checking but you didn’t move away and that was all he needed,
his kisses slowed, becoming more deliberate, more present, each one lingering slightly longer than the last,
it wasn’t rushed, just quiet, building heat in a way that felt almost unfair when everything else around you was so still,
your fingers curled slightly where they rested on his arm and he noticed because his hand tightened slightly at your waist in response, pulling you closer without breaking the rhythm of what he was doing,
your head tilted slightly before you even thought about it, when he finally pulled back just enough to look at you, there was something different in his expression now
less teasing and more intent,
“you’re distracting,” you murmured,
a faint smile spread on his face, “good,”
and then he kissed you properly, this time there was no hesitation, no testing, just the quiet collapse of whatever distance had been left between you,
the world didn’t disappear so much as it stopped mattering,
your back pressed against him, his hand at your waist, the sound of distant voices from the house fading into something unimportant,
when you finally broke apart, it was only for a second, your foreheads almost touching, both of you were breathing like you’d forgotten how to do it normally,
but neither of you moved far enough away to pretend it hadn’t just happened
by the time midnight rolled around, nobody had any business still being awake
the fire the guys started earlier had burned low, the music had gotten quieter and conversations were starting to overlap in that way they always did after a few drinks..
somebody was telling a story, somebody else was interrupting it and woonhak was somehow involved in both
you sat on one of the big chairs, legs tucked underneath you while the others sat scattered around the fire pit,
it was nice and comfortable, the kind of night nobody wanted to end,
ohyul was sitting across from you at first, but that only lasted maybe 10 minutes
eventually he got up with his drink, walked around the fire and dropped into the empty seat beside yours without explanation,
you looked at him and he looked back,
“what?”
“nothing,” you smile,
a few minutes later, leehan shivered dramatically, “why is it suddenly freezing?”
“because it’s night,”
“thank you woonhak,”
“you’re welcome,”
leehan looked around before his gaze landed on you, more specifically your jacket draped over the back of your chair, “can i borrow that?”
“my jacket?” you glanced over your shoulder, then shrugged, “sure,”
the second you handed it over, leehan pulled it on with visible relief,
“wahhhh i owe you my life,”
across the circle, ryul immediately looked at ohyul, waiting but nothing happened, ohyul didn’t even react, he was too busy staring at you,
ryul frowned, “wow,”
“what?” you said,
“i thought he’d care,”
ohyul finally looked over, “about what?”
“the jacket,”
ohyul followed his gaze toward leehan, then shrugged, “why would i care?”
“that’s her jacket,”
“okay,”
“and he’s wearing it,”
“he’s cold,”
everyone stared at him but ohyul stared back completely unimpressed, “what’s wrong with all of you?”
“nothing,” jaehyun said, “you’re just surprisingly reasonable,”
“i’m always reasonable,”
the entire group laughed,
“that’s the funniest thing you’ve said all day,” woonhak said,
ohyul flipped him off without looking which only made everyone laugh harder
a while later, another round of drinks appeared, probably a bad idea, but nobody seemed concerned enough to stop, least of all ohyul,
you noticed it mostly in the way he started losing track of where he was supposed to be looking, normally, he’d hide things, he’d tease or pretend not to care,
but now every time you glanced up, he was already looking at you, not even trying to hide it
“why do you keep staring at me?” the question slipped out eventually,
ohyul leaned back in his chair, “do i?”
“yes,” you laughed,
he smiled immediately and suddenly it clicked to you,
he wasn’t even listening to half the conversations anymore, he was just following yours, wherever you looked, whatever you were doing, completely distracted which made him significantly easier to tease.
a fact you took full advantage of, every time he sat too close, you shifted away slightly, every time he reached over your shoulder to look at something on your phone, you tilted the screen away,
and every time he tried getting your attention, you deliberately answered someone else first
nothing cruel, but just enough to make him noticeably annoyed and unfortunately for him, the alcohol wasn’t helping him
“you’re doing this on purpose,”
you glanced over innocently, “doing what?”
“that,”
“you’ll have to be more specific,”
ohyul narrowed his eyes and you smiled to which he just groaned and leaned back again,
a little later you were in the middle of talking to sungho when a hand suddenly landed on the armrest beside yours,
you glanced over, ohyul again, ofc
“yes?”
“nothing,”
“you look like you want to say something,”
he considered it for a second before answering with complete honesty, “..i forgot,”
ohyul buried his face in one hand as you laughed at him softly, “don’t,”
“you forgot?”
“leave me alone,”
“what did you forget?”
“i don’t know,”
which somehow made it worse, his cool guy image was hanging on by a thread and everybody knew it, including him
for a little moment the lake stretched quietly behind you the fire crackled softly, the night had settled completely
you checked the time, then sighed, “i’m tired,”
immediately, several people groaned, “already?”
“it’s literally 2am,” you stood, stretching slightly,
almost immediately, another chair scraped against the ground,
ohyul.. of course,
ryul watched the whole thing happen, then took a slow sip of his drink, “look at that,”
“look at what?” ohyul asked,
you laughed and before the conversation could continue, you grabbed your phone from the table, “goodnight,”
a chorus of half hearted goodnights followed,
ohyul was already walking beside you before anyone else could say anything, nobody commented, mostly because they didn’t have to, the knowing looks were enough
as the two of you headed toward the house, ryul’s voice followed from somewhere behind,
“don’t wake us up!!!”
there was a beat of silence before the entire group burst into laughter,
and for the first time all night, ohyul actually looked shy which only made everyone laugh harder
as soon as you get inside, you pull ohyul towards the kitchen, filling up a big glass of water before handing it to him, “drink up big guy,”
“i don’t wanna,” he pouted slightly,
“sometimes we have to do things we don’t want,” you giggled,
“i know what i want tho,” he said in between sips,
“and what’s that,”
“you,”
you look up at him, his usual confidence slipping more and more, he looks soft but definitely needy, eyes scanning your face as if he’s trying to remember your face, the alcohol in his system definitely not helping that tho..
you giggle, your free hand coming up to brush through his hair, “i think you’re a little drunk big guy,” leaning into him a little as you speak
he inhaled your scent, “just enough” he replies, nuzzling a little closer, setting down the glass,
one of his hands slides to rest on the small of your back, fingers brushing slightly under the hem of your shirt, testing the lines,
you giggled, straightening your back, placing your free hand flat against his chest, “you should probably take a shower to sober up a-“
before you could finish your sentence, his lips crashed on yours to which you responded immediately,
his hands instantly hovering over your ass, yours coming up to his head, gripping a fistful of his hair as you pulled it slightly,
he sighed into the kiss, almost like a whimper, not even trying to hide how much he wants you
you press your lips against his a little harder, his lips were warm and plump, the alcohol doing its work as he pulls you almost impossibly closer, his hands more firmly on your ass, pressing your body against his with a little more force
he’s trying his hardest to not lose his full composure right here and now, his brain working overtime to keep him steady
it feels like you’ve been making out for hours, heat literally radiating from the both of you
his lips were moving against yours almost roughly, he groans into your mouth as you tug on his hair again,
his hands coming to rest on your hips, keeping you there, gently but firmly
you smirk into the kiss, slightly leaning back, his lips chasing yours as you place a few more small kisses on his lips,
he opens his eyes to meet yours, his absolutely glazed, a slight pout already on his lips by the sudden absence of yours
you brush your thumb over his glossy swollen lips, biting back another smirk as you reach past him to grab the cup from the counter, “you should take a shower,” you grin
and before he can even protest, you press one more kiss on his lips, soft but teasing as you step back, slipping out of his grip
you slowly back away, not breaking eye contact, before you fully turn around towards the stairs, glancing back over your shoulder just once
he lets out a soft, disbelieving laugh as he watches you just leaving him all hot and bothered by himself, before he pushes himself up to follow behind
you weren’t even half way up the stairs before he walked past you with a slight smirk, his hand finding yours, fingers threading yours tightly, pulling you with him
you let him lead the way, squeezing his hand as you walk up the stairs, walking around his friends house as if it was his own
as soon as you entered your room, you closed the door behind you and within seconds his mouth was on yours,
it wasn’t soft and gentle anymore,
he was done waiting,
his tongue pressed your bottom lip and you let him in, your arms wrapped around his neck, pulling him down to meet your lips in the middle,
his settle at your waist as his tongue explores the inside of your mouth, a little rushed but he can’t help it
your bodies melt into each other, heat boiling in your stomach as you felt him suck on your bottom lip, his hands planted firmly on your ass
you can’t help the moan leaving your lips, a muffled sound slipping past your lips when he bites your lower lip, wiping his tongue over it soothingly after
he pushes you further into the room, only grinning when your back hits the desk, he lifts you up to sit on the desk, your legs wrapping around his body in an almost greedy way,
you pull him closer, your hands messing up his hair more and more,
it’s insane, all the things he wants to do to you after being riled up the whole day, the alcohol in his body shutting down every possible normal thinking ability, only making place for how much he wants you
but by the way you lean into him, more and more, it’s clear you want him just as much,
“i need you so bad,” he groans in the kiss,
“what you waiting for then,” you smirked against his lips
he pulls away, a small string of saliva stretched between your lips, “i was waiting for you,” he deadpans as if it wasn’t obvious
you feel his hands gripping more low and firm, possessive and sure, making his intent clear like a warning and a promise at the same time
you laughed softly, “awee poor guy,” you said playfully
his mouth dips down, pressing open mouthed kisses on your neck, his lips were warm and wet,
“you left me hanging all day,” he murmers into your skin, almost like a whiny claim
you chuckle, your hand coming up to his hair, pushing him closer to you, “no i didn’t,” you tease
in a split second his head whipped back up, his lips plumb and soft in comparison to the blank expression on his face,
“stop playing now,” he chuckles in disbelief, his voice softer and needier than he actually meant to
you laugh, shrugging out of his grip as you got off the desk,
he follows immediately, his body moving towards yours, because he physically can’t help it, his hands back on your waist without quite noticing
“you’re still walking away,” he whined softly,
you tilt your head, pretending to think, “am i?”
ohyul lets out a quiet whine, not even subtle about it, dropping down onto the edge of the bed and pulling you between his knees,
“sit down,” he mumbles, his other hand comes up to your lower back, pushing you down
you stumble a bit, giggling, swinging both your legs to either side of his, steadying yourself with your hands on his shoulders as you sit down on his lap,
“don’t run away again,” he breathed out, his hands slipping under your shirt as he was rubbing circles on your skin,
you wrap your arms around his neck, your chest pressed against his
he smiled sweetly before his lips moved back down to your jaw and neck, kissing and licking near your collarbone
you couldn’t help but sigh by the feeling, not really caring that the pressure of his lips will for sure leave bruises later
his kisses were warm and wet, sucking your skin from your neck to your shoulders, one of your hands hurriedly back in his hair,
you tug his hair, pulling him back up to meet his lips in a heated kiss,
his eyes almost rolling to the back of his head as he feels you suck on his bottom lip, he groans into your mouth, as you pushed your tongue in his mouth
one of his hands comes up to your throat, hovering slightly before he wraps his hand around your neck and you moan as he gives you a daring squeeze, the sound sending literal shivers down his spine,
the kiss deepens without neither of you pulling away, your fingers curl into his hair, tugging it slightly as he makes a sound against your mouth,
a mix of a moan and a sigh, his hand putting more pressure on your throat,
you don’t know how much time passes, you’re both lost in the way your lips move in an almost perfect synchrony, the air between you thick and undeniable hot,
you grin to yourself as you feel his bulge pressing against your clothed heat, his breath hitched in his throat when you rolled your hips against his,
his hand flying back to your hips, pushing you down with a little more pressure,
it’s all heat and need, messy in the best way
“ohyul- please- need you-“ you mumble against his lips, the heat in your core only becoming more and more intense,
he only hummed in response and before you knew it, he flipped you both, laying you down on the mattress, your back pressed into the bed as his chest pressed against yours, your lips not leaving the others for even the slightest moment
ohyul held himself up on one arm, his other hand back on your waist, fingers sliding under your shirt, roaming up and down your sides, your skin felt hot everywhere he touched you
you couldn’t help bucking your hips up to his and he groaned softly, holding you down with a little more power when you buckle your hips up once more,
you let out a deep sigh as ohyul pulled away slowly, his eyes drifting down to your red, swollen lips before he pushed himself up, pulling his shirt over his head in one smooth motion before lowering himself down on you again,
you only grinned, reaching out as you pulled him back down,
he held himself up slightly, his tongue back moving with yours, your fingers traced up and down his chest, before drifting down completely, your hand wandering down, pressing on his bulge lightly
his hard on undeniably heavy in his pants, ohyul moans by the feeling of your hand on his hard on, but he pulls your hand away almost immediately,
instead he pushes his bottom half against yours in a rough way, his bulge pushing against your heat,
you moaned by the feeling, to which he rolled his hips a couple more times in response, enjoying the way you reacted to him a little too much
your core was tensing up by the feeling of his dick against you over and over,
one of his hands comes up to cup your boobs over your shirt, yours were roaming up and down his bare back, the feeling of his skin under your fingers heats up your own, still clothed body
both your breathing was uneven and hitched and ohyul couldn’t help but sigh into the kiss, finally having you all to himself,
his hand slipped under your shirt, his fingertips feeling cold on your hot skin but you completely melt into his touch, the sound of your lips smacking together filling up the hot air in the room,
you needed more, the craving to his touch only growing and growing with every passing moment, you gripped his hands from under your shirt and placed it on the waistband of your pants, urging for him to take them off
which he gladly did ofc,
you lift your hips slightly to make it easier for him, he chuckled slightly, breathing in deliberately when they were off
wasting no time, he unbuttoned his own pants, kicking them off before throwing them somewhere in the room,
your eyes met with the huge tent in his boxers, you bit your lip at the sight, which made him smirk as well
he crawled back on top of you, pushing one of your knees a little more to the side, so your legs are more spread, he himself getting settled in between,
your lips were back on his within seconds, tongues fighting over dominance, his hips rolling into yours, both of you a moaning mess just by the feeling of only a thin layer of clothing separating your clothed heats,
he dragged his hand from your cheek down to your thighs, rubbing small circles on your skin, daring and teasingly close to the one place you needed him the most, but he seemed in no rush all of a sudden
you huffed, “stop playing,”
he smirked against your lips as he hovers his fingertips lightly over your heat, before sliding his fingers over the fabric of your already wet panties fully
you moaned when he pulled your panties to the side, pushing one of two of his fingers inside immediately, “you’re literally soaking,” he grinned, “now tell me you haven’t been wanting me all day either”
“never said i didn’t” your voice low and breathy, “just like seeing you a little worked up,”
he pumps his fingers in and out, stretching you out a little, a deep groan leaving his lips,
you feel so warm and his mind goes completely foggy as your hips roll into his hand,
“i needa taste you” he whispered, lowering his head to face your now soaked panties, he pulled his fingers out, the sudden loss of his fingers making you feel empty,
his hand slips underneath the hem of your underwear, slipping them off fully,
his gaze feels heavy, his eyes filled with lust and need
you threw your head back on the pillow as his lips made contact with you, sucking lightly, licking his way up and down your clit
a deep moan left his lips as licked up and down your heat,
your eyes roll to the back of your head, breathing heavily, an undeniable rush humming through you,
it felt like sparks were dancing beneath your skin, your clit thrumming with intensity by every swipe of his tongue,
you tried your hardest not to lift your hips, sounds leaving your lips you don’t even know you had in you, moans, sighs and even broken cries
you arched your back as he inserted one finger back in, immediately pounding into you, his lips dragging along your sensitive soft skin at the same time
ohyul groaned against your skin, his dick painfully hard in his boxers now,
a heat pooling in your stomach as you fisted the sheets on the bed,
“fuck- hyul-“ you moaned out as he hits that one specific spot in you, “m.. mgonna cum-“
he knew not to speed up, going at the same pace as he already was, feeling you squirm under his touch, “cum for me” he mumbled into your skin,
tears were welling in your eyes and the room filled with your whimpers,
his fingers still pounding in and out of you, his lips busy working it’s way on your clit, the knot in your stomach only growing more and more before the last bit of control slipped and you came over his lips and fingers
your breathing was heavy as you came down from your high, your back slumping back on the mattress,
your mind snapping back to reality when he pulled his fingers out, a sudden cold hitting your sensitive heat
you whined as you looked at him,
ohyul came back up, licking your juices off his fingers with a way too pleased smirk on his face,
but his dick was now literally throbbing through his underwear,
you smirked too, pulling him down, your lips smacking in a rough, breath stealing kiss,
you moaned in his mouth as he grinds against your heat, overstimulation rushing through your body as you were still coming down from your previous high,
you slipped your hand down to his boxers, your fingers tracing the outline of his hardened dick, “my turn now” you said breathlessly, pushing him off to the side for him to lay down,
his eyes were heavy and filled with lust, a hunger and need for you.. and only you,
he sits back up against the headboard, his arm coming to pull you up to him, instead you push him back lightly
your hand coming to pull down his underwear fully, you couldn’t help the grin on your face as you saw how hard he was, your hand wrapping around it immediately
he squeezed his eyes shut, a moan coming from his lips as you moved up and down his length, the precum leaking from the tip, his free hand grasped for you and you only giggled as you pushed his hand away
“yn-“ he mutters as you jerked him slow, painfully slow if you ask him, your hands soft but firm on his length,
“f-fuck wanna feel your lips,” he groans as your fingertips drag over his sensitive tip
you smile, leaning in to press a sweet kiss on his lips before moving down, leaving hot open mouthed kisses along his chest, all the way down to his dick
ohyul could feel the knot in his stomach burning up the second your wrap your lips around him and the room filled up with his moans mixed the sound of your mouth savouring him
you bopped your head up and down, hallowing your cheeks, slow wet drags of your tongue all over him making him moan uncontrollably
you looked up through your lashes, your eyes meeting his while you’re leaving small, kittenish licks along his full length before suckling on the head,
the sight alone makes him throw his head back in pleasure
you feel him lifting his hips a little, your lips feel so soft and warm on him and he swears he is seeing stars, the knot in his stomach ready to burst
he has no idea how much time passes, it feels like seconds, his head feels fuzzy, his thoughts hazy and his mind absolutely blur,
he tugs at your hair, pulling you up instantly and your lips coming off his dick with a light plop sound
“needa be inside you” he says, voice low and breathy as he was trying his hardest to keep his composure,
he pulled you back on top of him, your legs on either side of his,
his hands coming up to squeeze your boobs over your shirt before he grabbed your face, pulling you in another heated kiss, both your parts burning with anticipation and need for the other
you were hovering your body slightly over his, keeping your body weight from pressing down completely and you could feel his length against your stomach
your lips were clashing against each other, breathless moans and whimpers being swallowed between the two of you
you broke the kiss, letting your lips hover over his a little bit as you looked down in between you, biting your lip as you took his dick in your hands and aligned yourself on top of him, sliding the tip between your folds a little bit,
you looked back up to meet ohyul’s eyes, steadying yourself with your hands on his shoulders as you lowered yourself on his length
“mhn fuck” he moaned as you sank onto him completely, the stretch was was insane as your body was taking him in fully as
you moaned his name as he completely filled you up, taking a moment to adjust to his size but the burn was amazing
his hands came up to your hips, his fingers digging into your skin holding you in place as he bottomed out
“f-fuck you’re so tight” he mumbled, his eyes darkened, letting his lips hover over yours softly, letting you both adjust to the fullness
he moved his hips slightly as to adjust himself, just a little bit but it was enough to shoot a sharp string of pleasure through your body and a soft gasp left your mouth
you steadied yourself properly on your knees before you started moving on his length, grinding your hips up and down against him and the room soon filled with wet, slick sounds as you fucked yourself down on him
you were both a moaning mess, low breaths shared between the air of your lips and with each move, the pleasure in your body only grew and grew
“ngh fuck-“ you cried out,
ohyul groaned, he angled his legs slightly so he could thrust his hips up to meet yours, the sudden change of force made you moan out loudly and his eyebrows scrunched as he moved, trying to keep a steady rhythm
he looked down at the part your bodies connected, your name slipping past his lips by the sight of his dick sliding in and out of you, a wave of pleasure rushing through your body as you felt the heat in your stomach burning more and more
at this point you were crying out his name as he fucked deep into you and the burn in your thighs becomes more and more intense,
you weren’t sure how much longer you could go before you burst out completely,
but.. so was he, “fuck yn, i’m gonna cum” he groaned, his eyes flying shut
you only hummed in response, chasing both your highs as you kept moving up and down, his focus was completely on you and the world narrowed down to the space between the shared breaths,
you were both so lost in the moment that neither of you noticed the door until-
it flies open
“yooooo,” someone yells cheerfully, “yn thanks for the jack-“
both your bodies immediately halt in shock and ohyul reaches for the blanket at the speed of light as he hurriedly pulled it over the both of you
leehan stands there swaying slightly, probably his 10th drink in his hand, blinking as he stared at the both of you
there’s a small silence
until leehan visibly smirks as he’s trying to stand straight, “whoa- okay. this is.. i’m sorry” he gestures vaguely with the red cup, “i just wann bring back the jacket,” he slurs his words
you were surprisingly calm, “no worries,” you laugh, “just drop it there,”
leehan nods slowly, processing your words and the situation, “yesss ma’am,” he smirks again, “sorry for interrupting , love you guys,” he points his cup to your boyfriend who was visibly annoyed,
“dude get out,” he groans, but he couldn’t hide the smile,
leehan salutes dramatically, raising his drink to you before turning around and immediately walking away.
“BRO CLOSE THE DOOR” ohyul facepalms himself, groaning as leehan popped up again,
“sorry my baddd,”
“i need new friends” ohyul groans as he closed his eyes in defeat,
you laugh a little too amused if you ask him, crawling closer, “ngl the timing was kind of impressive”
he shoots you a look, definitely not amused as he lets out a huff, turning his head towards you,
he was clearly annoyed but softening as soon as his eyes lock on yours,
you grin as you lean forward, his arm slides around your waist automatically, pulling you closer like it’s instinct,
hi!!!! coming back because i just saw a really concerning post!!!! this user @/hungrilymercilessghoul is posting smut of the 09z in cortis.
this is so disgusting on so many levels, seonghyeon is a minor. writing any sexual content of him IS illegal, it’s literally child pornography (doesn’t matter if you are a minor aswell = it still is sexual content of someone who is not legal age nor consenting to it).
besides that fact, it is just incredibly disgusting. i’m going to mention something i said in an earlier post on this ↓
idols aren't objects to be used for weirdos sexual fantasies. anyone saying "you can just ignore" / "just scroll" is apart of the problem. releasing and giving access for sexual content of minors or people who are barely legal is giving an outlet for pedos or people with bad intentions, and it makes you apart of the problem. all this content is in a space where minors (a majority of cortis's fanbase are incredibly young) will be exposed to that sort of content. it's inappropriate.
please report, block, and do not engage with anyone making this content! to anyone consuming / providing this content, seriously get a job!!! you’re disgusting!!! and if you can’t get a job, get offline cause you’re probably too young to be on here anyways.
Jihoon was always someone who moved forward. Even when he was tired, he practiced. Even when his schedule was packed, he learned. Even when everyone told him to slow down, he smiled and said: “I’m okay.”
The members knew him too well. They knew the way he pushed himself. They knew the way he refused to give up. But there was one person who could always make him stop.
Y/N.
She noticed it before he did. The way she had been feeling different. The tiredness. The small changes.
At first, neither of them wanted to assume anything.
Until one quiet morning, she stood in front of him with a small object in her hand.
Jihoon was sitting on the edge of the bed, still half asleep. “Jihoon.”
Something about her voice made him look up immediately. “What happened?”
She didn’t answer. She just handed it to him. And when he looked down…
His entire expression changed.
For someone who always had something to say, Jihoon suddenly had nothing. His eyes moved between the test and Y/N. “Wait…”
His voice became quiet. “Really?” Y/N nodded.
And the next second, the person who always acted confident looked completely overwhelmed. Not scared. Just... full.
Like his heart was suddenly carrying something much bigger than himself. “We’re having a baby?”
Y/N smiled. “We’re having a baby.”
That night, Jihoon barely slept. Not because he was worried about the baby. Because he was thinking. About everything. About the little life growing inside Y/N. About how much she had to go through. About how he wanted to become someone their child could be proud of.
The next morning, the members immediately noticed something was different. Jihoon was quiet. Which was suspicious. Very suspicious.
“Why are you not annoying us today?” Dohoon asked.
Jihoon looked at him. “I’m always annoying you?”
“Yes.”
“Wow.”
The members laughed. But then Shinyu noticed. “Wait… why are you smiling like that?”
Jihoon looked down. He couldn’t hide it. “I have something to tell you guys.”
The members were sitting together when Jihoon finally told them. “I’m going to be a dad.”
Silence.
Complete silence.
Then “WHAT?”
Everyone immediately started talking. “Seriously?”
“You’re going to be a father?”
“Jihoon?”
The same Jihoon who stayed up practicing until everyone complained The same Jihoon who forgot to rest? The same Jihoon who teased everyone every day? Now he was going to have a baby.
Jihoon immediately frowned. “What does that mean? I'm older than you!”
Everyone laughed.
But behind the jokes, they were genuinely happy. Because they knew. Jihoon loved deeply. And whoever his child was, they were going to be loved endlessly.
Their first sonogram, Jihoon was more nervous than Y/N. She was lying there, holding his hand. His fingers were tightly wrapped around hers. “You’re squeezing my hand.”
“Sorry.” He immediately loosened his grip. Then a second later, he held it again. Y/N laughed.
“Are you nervous?”
“No.”
“Jihoon.”
“…A little.”
When the screen turned on, everything else disappeared. The room. The sounds. Everything. There was their baby. Their little baby.
Jihoon stared silently. His eyes softened. “Is that…”
Y/N smiled. “Yeah.”
A tiny smile appeared on his face. A smile the members rarely saw. The kind that wasn’t playful. Wasn’t teasing.
Just pure happiness.
Then the doctor told them. “It’s a boy.” Jihoon froze. A boy. Their son. He looked at Y/N. And both of them smiled.
A few weeks later, they sat together at home. No cameras. No schedules. No noise. Just them. And a notebook full of names. “I like this one.”
Y/N showed him. Jihoon shook his head. “Hmm.”
“You rejected everything.”
“I’m thinking.”
“You’ve been thinking for an hour.”
He laughed.
Then he looked at the page again. A name caught his attention.
“Taesong.”
Y/N looked at him. “Taesong?”
He nodded. “Yeah.”
“Why?”
Jihoon gently placed his hand over hers. “Because I want him to shine.” He smiled. “Like a star.”
Y/N looked at him quietly. “Taesong means star.”
Jihoon nodded. “And he’ll always be our little star.”
She smiled. “Lee Taesong.”
Jihoon repeated it softly. “Lee Taesong.”
Their son’s name.
A name that belonged to their little family.
Month's quickly pass, and the one day Jihoon wished he could control time…
Was the day Y/N went into labor.
His schedule was impossible. He had been trying. Running between everything. Checking his phone constantly. Then the call came. And his heart dropped.
It was time.
He moved faster than he ever had. But he was still late. When he finally arrived at the hospital, his breathing was uneven.
“I’m sorry.”
The first thing he said to her mother, “I’m sorry I wasn’t there sooner.”
But then he saw her. Y/N, tired, exhausted, but smiling.
“Jihoon.”
He immediately went to her, holding her arm quickly. “I’m here.”
Y/N smiled. “I'm glad.”
And that almost broke him.
Because she wasn’t angry, she wasn’t upset, she was just happy he was there.
Then he saw him.
Their son, tiny and sleeping peacefully.
Jihoon stood there completely still.
This was real. The little star they talked about. The person who is gonna change their lives. His son.
“Can I…” His voice cracked slightly. “Can I hold him?”
Y/N smiled. “Of course silly, he's your son.”
When he held Taesong for the first time. The same person who could dance for hours without stopping, the same person who never admitted he was tired, was suddenly afraid to move. He looked down.
“Hi.” His voice was barely a whisper. “I’m your dad.”
A small smile appeared. “I’ll work hard.” He looked at Y/N. “No matter what.”
Because for years, Jihoon worked hard because he wanted to become better.
But now, he had a new reason.
A little boy named Lee Taesong.
Their little star.
And for the first time in his life…
Jihoon didn’t feel like he needed to chase something. Because everything he dearly had been working toward was already in his arms.

“if he says ‘just one more hour’ i’m actually going to lose my mind,” ohyul groaned,
you had barely stepped into the room before getting dragged into what looked suspiciously like a team meeting.
“it’s been 3 days,” he continued,
“2 and a half,” ryul corrected,
ohyul slowly turned toward him, “do you want to fight?”
“not particularly,”
“then stop defending him.”
“i’m not defending him,”
louis was curled up on the couch, practically vibrating with amusement,
“this is the most passionate i’ve ever seen either of you,” you chuckled,
“woojin hasn’t come home properly in days,” ohyul complained, “he sleeps in the studio, eats in the studio, breathes in the studio-“
“that’s usually how breathing works,” louis interrupted,
“you know what i mean,”
you couldn’t stop laughing, “is the song really that good?”
the room immediately fell silent..
then everyone nodded,
“unfortunately,” ryul admitted,
“that’s the problem,” ohyul said, “because every time we tell him to take a break, he plays it for us and suddenly we’re like wow.. maybe stay another 12 hours,”
“he’s weaponizing talent,” louis agreed,
“he really is,”
ohyul pointed at you dramatically, “go get your boyfriend,”
“why me?”
all 3 of them stared at you
“right,” you said,
“exactly,”
the studio door was unlocked which honestly felt like a miracle,
music was playing quietly through the speakers when you stepped inside
woojin was sitting at his desk, hoodie on, headphones around his neck, completely focused on the screen in front of him,
he didn’t notice you,
or maybe he did?
because the second the door clicked shut behind you, he sighed,
“if you’re here to tell me to leave, i’m busy,”
“that’s a lovely greeting,”
woojin froze before slowly turning around and immediately smiled,
it happened so naturally that he probably didn’t even realize he’d done it
“oh,”
“oh?”
“hi,”
“hi,”
for a moment he just looked at you like he’d forgotten what he was doing then his eyes flicked back toward the monitor,
“you shouldn’t be here,”
“ok? rude?”
“not rude,”
“that sounded rude,”
“i mean it affectionately,”
“that’s not helping,”
he spun his chair around fully this time, running a hand through his hair,
“they sent you, didn’t they?”
“maybe,”
“traitors,”
“they miss you,” you giggle softly,
“they saw me yesterday,”
“for what? 10 minutes?”
“that still counts,”
you glanced around the room,
coffee cups, snack wrappers, a blanket thrown over the couch..
it genuinely looked like he’d moved in
“woojin,”
“don’t start,”
“you know exactly what i’m going to say,”
“because everyone keeps saying it,”
he dropped his head back dramatically, “i’m fine,”
“you haven’t left this building properly in days,”
“i’ve left the room,”
“to do what?”
“..important things,”
“name one,”
“..bathroom,”
you laughed and woojin pointed at you accusingly,
“don’t encourage this,”
“i’m not encouraging anything,”
“you’re judging me tho,”
“a little yes,”
“i can tell,”
despite his complaining, he reached out and hooked a finger around your wrist, gently pulling you closer until you were standing beside his chair,
he immediately rested the side of his head against your arm, completely subconsciously almost like he needed the contact but refused to acknowledge it,
“you’re distracting me,” he mumbled,
“i literally just got here,”
“that’s the problem,”
“that doesn’t make sense,”
“it does to me,”
you looked down at him, “awe look at you, you missed me,”
“obviously,”
“awe,” you giggled
“don’t do that,”
“do what?”
“make it weird,”
“you literally admitted it,”
“because i haven’t seen you in a while,”
he sounded annoyed about it which somehow made it sweeter,
you smiled and nudged his shoulder, “let’s go home,”
“no.”
“woojin,”
“baby,”
“come home,”
he groaned immediately,
the kind of groan that suggested he already knew he was losing,
“you sound exactly like ohyul,”
“that’s the worst thing you’ve ever said to me,”
“i know,”
“take it back,”
“no you take back me coming home,”
you gasped and he actually laughed,
“ok then i’m leaving alone,”
“no you’re not,”
“watch me,”
the second you moved toward the door, his hand shot out and caught the sleeve of your hoodie,
“stay,”
“that’s not a proper request,”
“i’m busy but i want you here,”
“you’ve been busy for 3 days,”
“and look how productive i’ve been,”
he clicked a few buttons and turned one of the speakers up, his new song filled the room
you listened and immediately understood the problem..
it was good, annoyingly good.
the kind of good that made you understand why he’d become completely obsessed with perfecting it,
when it ended, woojin looked far too pleased with himself,
“see?”
“it’s good but still doesn’t change the fact that you need food,”
“i had food,” he argued back
“a protein bar isn’t food,”
“that’s literally its entire purpose tho?”
“woojin,”
“baby,” he deadpanned
“real food,” you exaggerated
“you’re very demanding today,”
“and you’re living like a raccoon,”
“now you’re being rude,”
“am i lying tho?”
he considered it, “..a little,”
“exactly,”
for a moment the room fell quiet and woojin stared at the screen, then at you, then back at the screen
you could practically see the internal struggle happening which was honestly adorable.
“you know what’s really annoying?” he said finally,
“what?”
“i was doing great before you got here,”
“sure,”
“seriously,” he pointed at you, “now i keep looking at you instead of working,”
“that’s sounds like a you problem,”
“it is,”
“my thoughts and prayers for you my guy,”
woojin rolled his eyes before reaching over and pulling you down onto the couch beside him,
close enough that your shoulders touched.
“please stay,”
you sighed out loud,
“i’m serious,” he added
“why?”
“because if you’re here, you’re here,”
you giggled, “that doesn’t make sense,”
“it doesn’t have to make sense,”
his attention returned to the monitor for approximately 5 seconds before drifting right back to you,
you caught him and he immediately looked away,
“i saw that,”
“no you didn’t,”
“yes i did,”
“i was thinking,”
“about?”
“the song,”
“liar,”
“prove it,” he shot back,
“you literally forgot what screen you were looking at,”
“that’s lame evidence,”
you laughed so hard he started smiling too
and finally, after another few minutes, he let out a long sigh,
the dramatic and defeated kind, the kind you had been waiting for,
“what?” you asked,
“nothing,”
“woojin,”
“i hate when they send you,”
“why?”
he looked at you like the answer should have been obvious, “because i can easily ignore them,”
“that’s mean,” you giggled softly,
“it’s true,”
“and me?”
he immediately looked away which told you everything.
“right,” you chuckled a little satisfied if you asked him,
woojin groaned, “don’t look so happy about it,”
“awe does sassy woojin have a soft spot for me,” you laughed,
“unfortunately,”
“that’s cute,”
“it’s ruining my work spirit,” he groaned,
a few moments later he finally reached over and saved his project, closed the program and pushed his chair back,
you blinked, “oh? that didn’t take long,”
“don’t push it now,”
“awwwww,” you cooed,
“stop,”
“you actually listened,”
he stood up, stretching his arms over his head, “because if i don’t leave now, you’ll keep looking at me like that,”
“like what?”
“like i’m a lost puppy,”
“you kind of are,” you chuckled,
he grabbed his hoodie and tossed it over his shoulder, then leaned down and kissed the top of your head.
it was quick and casual, like it was the most natural thing in the world,
“let’s go,”
“where are we going?”
“home,”
“look at that,” you nod approvingly,
“don’t start,”
“i didn’t even say anything,”
“i can hear it in your voice,”
“i at least expected you to put up a little fight,”
“ok now i’m staying another 3 days,”
“no you’re not,” you laughed as he pulled you up from the couch,
and despite all his complaining,
despite the dramatic sighs and the endless excuses,
he kept one hand on your back the entire way out of the studio,
just to make sure you didn’t wander off and leave him behind,
somewhere between locking the studio door and reaching the elevator, woojin was already mentally preparing himself,
because the second the others saw him walking back into the dorm after refusing to leave the studio for nearly three days, they were going to be insufferable
especially when they realized you’d shown up less than 15 minutes ago,
ohyul was literally going to have a field day, louis would probably laugh so hard he’d start wheezing and ryul would never let him live it down..
and the worst part?
they were all going to be right
3 days of ignored phone calls, rejected food deliveries, intervention attempts and lectures,
all undone in roughly 10 minutes..
woojin glanced at you walking beside him and sighed,
“don’t look so pleased with yourself,”
“i’m not,”you smiled,
he immediately looked away trying to hide the smile creeping up on his face,

⌗ imagine with me (m.list)
I sometimes think about how it would feel to be hugged by Jihoon.
For me, Jihoon gives the most tender hugs, which feel like a light of sunshine and warmth in the middle of endless darkness. Those who make you feel understood. He would make you feel better with little words and leave sweet, reassuring taps on your back when you are feeling sad, letting you know he is there with you. He would comfort you, tell you to let it all out and say ‘everything is going to be okay’ — even if it isn’t true, he says it just because he knows you need to hear it. Every time you need him, he will be there for you. He would only have to glance at you once to know you need to be hugged, need to be loved. All because his mother taught him love, and now he’s just the sweetest person alive who knows you like the back of his hand.
When he’s happy, he would cling to you nonstop, and his hugs would radiate an intense love and happiness. This type of affection is filled with laughter; he would keep you closer to him and tighten his grip on you. Maybe even swinging to the sides, just because he wants to. In his arms, you would be able to taste freedom. What could you say? His happiness is certainly contagious. In his arms, it’s impossible not to feel happiness.
When he has missed you a lot or has not seen you for a while, I have a feeling he would hold you close, but softly, without rushing. He would be too scared of you suddenly disappearing again from where he is. He would be afraid of losing sight of you again. He would mutter and whisper things like ‘I missed you a lot’ or ‘I can’t believe you are so pretty in person’, because even if he thinks of you day and night, seeing you always leaves him breathless.
When he feels insecure or exhausted, you could notice it in the way he hugs you. His arms would be more relaxed, even lazy, but his glance wouldn’t lie on you. Never. That’s when you know it’s your turn to hug him deeply, let him rest his head on the crook of your neck, and play softly with his hair, trying to comfort him. He would then rest his arms on your waist and take a deep breath, feeling better afterwards. Just to warn you, he would not want to leave you after this, and you would have to endure it for at least an hour (not that you minded, though).
Sometimes, all you need to do is give him a quick hug, which makes you break from all the messiness in your head, and then run away. Other times, you’ll just want to be there with him forever.
One of your favourites would be when you both go to sleep and when, later, you wake up next to him. The feeling of being exhausted after a tiring day and just lying in bed being hugged by him makes you feel instantly better. At those times, he first takes a glance at you and peppers you with small kisses on your face. He would tell you about his day and ask you about yours until the sleepiness takes over him, and you end up resting your head in his chest. You could listen perfectly to his heartbeat go “bum-bum” while he wraps you in a hug with his arm over you, holding you close. You would truly feel loved then.
And when you get up in the morning before him and see how the sun bathes him, making him look ethereal, the only word on your mind would be: home.
Because, what feels more like home than Jihoon’s hugs?
