Fluff, mention of Blood, mention of death (yes it's controversy AND i'm anime only, plus i used a lots of imaginations so)
Iguro took out the last demon, killing it fairly quickly as his sword slices through the weak neck of the demon. He was a Hashira after all — he had been trained to dispatch any demons as soon as possible and with ease.
He put his sword back in its case as he look around. He was supposed to be alone, so when he suddenly saw you, he was a bit taken back, but he wasn't expecting you to witness him killing nine demons effortlessly. You thought you were well hidden in the dark, but he saw your feet and you betrayed youself by hiding you better.
As he thought that he had finished off all the demons, suddenly out of the corner of his eyes, the tenth demon lunged towards him, catching me off guard. Before Iguro could even react, the demon had already hit him, throwing him back slightly, causing him to land on the floor with a thud. As the demon was about to kill him, you run like the light and kill him, hiding again in the dark. Iguro's eyes widened in surprise. Someone had just saved him. But where? He quickly looked around, trying to figure out who had saved him, but whoever it was they were hidden in the depths of the shadows — he couldn't see you.
He quickly picked himself up as he got up from the ground and dusted himself off.
"Who are you? Where are you?" He called out, keeping his guard up. Iguro could feel the presence nearby — he knew someone was there, but they weren't responding to him. Was this some kind of game to them or something? It was starting to piss him off.
"Show yourself." He said sternly, unsheathing his sword from its case.
"No." You reply, bluntly. His eyes narrowed. -Who the hell did this person think they were? Refusing to show themself and thinking they could play games with me, a Hashira.- he thought. "And why not? Are you too scared to reveal yourself to an actual Slayer?" He said, his grip on the handle of the sword tightening. "Maybe." Iguro let out an annoyed scoff. You were starting to get on his nerves. -They saved my life, and now they were refusing to show themselves. It's strange, and I don't like it.- he thought.
"Cut the games. Come out already. Or else I'll just go looking for you myself." He said, his patience starting to run out. "Don't let your guard off, serpent hashira. And when you see demons with Pink marks on their arms cut their feet first, it's that clan weakness." For a moment he was genuinely surprised. -This person know who I am, and they're giving me information about a particular clan of demons? Who exactly is this person?- he thought.
He paused for a moment, processing the information given to him and Looking around the area, still trying to find the person who was hiding in the shadows.
"How do you know all this?" He asked, his grip still firm on my sword. "I cannot reveal myself, but It was me that saved you back then. When you were at the shrine with thirty demons."
He was even more baffled when he heard your words. You saved him? At the shrine? Then that would mean you were Slayer as well. No normal person could have killed those demons. Iguro clenched his jaw, mulling over the information.
"Why won't you reveal yourself then? We're both Slayers, aren't we? You've already seen me, so I should have the right to see you as well."
"I am not a slayer." That took him back completely.
"Then why are you even helping me? Why are you giving me information on a powerful clan of demons?" Hs demanded, still trying to look for you among the shadows. "Because i tried to protect you for years." -Years? They had been watching and protecting me for years? How many years?- he thought. He couldn't help but feel a mixture of bewilderment and annoyance.
"How long have you been watching me? And why?" He asked, the grip on his sword still tight. "Five years at least. I don't know, i just care about you." He was taken back for a moment, trying to process the information.
"Why? Why do you care about me? What makes me so damn special that you feel the need to protect me?"
"I find you... cute." You said bluntly.
"Do you realize how ridiculous that sounds? You've been protecting me for five years because you find me cute? That's insane!" "My life is boring, serpent hashira. I saved your life many times at least say thank you." He clenched his jaw, trying to contain his frustration. You were testing his patience, but you had in fact saved his life numerous times, and he should at least give you some credit for that. He let out an annoyed scoff.
"Fine. Thank you for saving my life." He mumbled reluctantly, the grip on his sword loosening slightly. "I'm going away now, be carefull." But you were just messing aroound. Of course you would not go away, you were going to follow him till the sunrise. He still had so many unanswered questions.
"Wait!" He called out as you turned to leave. The words had left his mouth before he could stop them. " Yes?" Iguro was unsure of what to say. He had a million questions running through his mind, but now that he had stopped you they all just sort of vanished and he let out an irritated sigh.
"Damn it. Now I have no idea what to say." He muttered under his breath. "I'm still here."
He took a few moments to gather his thoughts before finally speaking up.
"Why won't you reveal yourself? After everything you've done and after watching me for so long, why do you refuse to show your face to me?" He asked, his eyebrows furrowed slightly in frustration. "Because you will kill me." He raised an eyebrow at your statement. Kill you? What the hell kind of logic was that?
"What makes you think I'll kill you? I'm a Hashira, not some cold-blooded murderer." He retorted, trying to keep his annoyance in check. And you finally stepped under the moonlight. "'Cause i'm a demon." He could finally catch a glimpse of you. His eyes widen as he saw your face under the light. A cold shiver ran down his spine, but he quickly regained his composure. Hd clenched his jaw and tighten the grip on his sword.
"You're a demon? And you've been watching me for five years?" He asked, his voice low and stern.
"I don't kill humans. I save them, i ate animal flash. It's disgusting but i don't want to kill humans." He was surprised by your words. A demon who didn't kill humans? It seemed unheard of. All demons that he encountered had been thirsting for human flesh and blood.
"You don't kill humans?" Skepticism evident in his voice. "Yes." Iguro tilted his head slightly, studying you. You seemed sincere, but he was still struggling to wrap his head around the fact that you were a demon who didn't kill humans.
"Why? Why do you spare humans when others don't?" He questioned, his eyes narrowing slightly as he looked at you.
You sit on the ground. "You can kill me if you want, i'm not going to hurt you." He stood there, still staring at you. Iguro was stunned by your nonchalant attitude. You were offering yourself up to him, giving him the chance to kill you, even though you didn't want to hurt him. He didn't know how to react to your strange behavior.
"Why would you offer yourself up like that? Why are you okay with dying just because I say so?" Hd asked, his eyes narrowing slightly at you.
"I am tired, i dont live with other demons, they hate me cause i don't ate humans."
He listened intently as you spoke, trying to comprehend your words. You didn't live with the other demons and they hated you?
"Why don't you live with the other demons? And why do they hate you?" He asked, his voice laced with a mixture of curiosity and caution. "Demons are almost everytime turned by muzan, i wasn't. Another demon turned me and then died. I was human hundred years ago, i don't want to kill humans. But human body smell nice, so i ate animal flesh to avoid hurting anyone." He was speechless for a moment, trying to process your words. You weren't turned by Muzan? Then how did you become a demon? He took a moment to gather his thoughts before speaking again.
He ran a hand through his hair in frustration. You were giving him more and more confusing information that he struggled to wrap his head around.
"And you've been protecting me for the past five years because I'm... cute?" He repeated, skepticism creeping back into his voice. "Sorry, yes. Your eyes... Your gaze... remind me of myself when i was still human."
Iguro's expression shifting to one of surprise. Your statement caught me off guard, and he....hadn't been expecting that.
"My eyes? They remind you of yourself?" The usual hint of skepticism still in his tone, but this time laced with a bit of curiosity as well. He stood there for a moment, unsure of what to do. Your words had left him feeling a bit uneasy. -How could my eyes remind her of herself?- he pushed the thought aside for now, focusing on the present situation.
Since it felt like the situation was strange, he decided it would be best to call for backup. He took out his crow from his cloak and stroked it's head before whispering it's ear. The crow cawed loudly before flying off, heading towards the Demon Slayer headquarters to relay his message. "What did you do?" He kept a neutral expression on his face, not wanting to give away his thoughts or actions.
"I've sent my crow to call for backup. The other Hashira will be here soon" iguro replied sternly. "Can you... promise me something?"
He raised an eyebrow at your question. What could you possibly want him to promise you?
"What is it?" He asked, his voice cautious and wary.
"If you, or the other hashiras, decide to kill me, please do It yourself. At least if i had to be killed i want you to do it." He was taken back by your request. Those words causing a strange pang in his chest. He wanted to protest, but the look in your eyes stopped him. There was something about you expression that made him refrain from refusing you request. Iguro let out a reluctant breath and sighed.
"Fine. I promise." A beat of silence passed between you. The words of his promise seemed to linger in the air. Hd felt a mix of guilt and reluctance for agreeing to youd request, but there was something about the way you looked at him that made him unable to refuse.
"But I still don't understand why. Why do you want me to be the one to kill you if it comes to that?"
"Because even if i'm a demon i still have feelings. And you are the only person i cared about." Your words made his heart clench. The thought of being the only person you, a demon, cared about was both strange and hard to comprehend.
He couldn't have known it, but you had grown fond of him in an indescribable way. It was love that you felt, an impossible love for a demon slayer, but a boy who was ultimately kind and sincere, lonely but admirable. When you spent the nights watching over him, you observed his every behavior, you saw how he unconsciously clutched the pillow to himself while he slept in search of comfort, and you hoped it was you. You fantasized about that impossible moment when he would hold you close to him.
He didn't know how to respond. Your words were hitting him harder than he had expected.
"Why me? Out of all the people in this world, why do you care about me?" He questioned, his voice quieter now.
"See, years ago i was crying in my loneliness. I killed a demon that was trying to ate a girl, and i realize i will never have anyone by my side being the only demon i know that doesn't want ate humans. That night i heard someone crying, It was you. I observed you for quite long and decide to protect you." He listened to your words in silence, feeling overwhelmed by your revelation. He had been crying alone in the forest years ago, and you had been watching him, witnessing his moment of vulnerability. You words rang in his ears, his mind struggling to process the new information.
"You... You overheard me crying? You were there years ago when I was in the forest?" He asked, his voice barely above a whisper, he can't believe it.
He let out a scoff, trying to process this new revelation. The thought of you being there, watching him at his most vulnerable moment, made him feel a mix of embarrassment and embarrassment. But there was something else there too, a strange sort of comfort.
He took a few moments before speaking up again.
"Then why didn't you show yourself? Why did you continue to hide and watch me from the shadows?"
"I am a demon, you are an hashira. I always thought you would kill me if i did so." Your words made sense. He was a Hashira, trained to kill demons. It would only be natural for you to assume he would kill you if he discovered you. But something still didn't sit right with him. He clenched his hands, struggling to find the words to express his thoughts.
"But you've been protecting me for years. Wouldn't it be less stressful if you just revealed yourself from the start?"
"When you were sleeping i guarded your estate from demons." Iguro looked at you, now able to see you clearly under the moon light. You sat there on the dirt, looking strangely humanlike despite being a demon. Your only feature standing out was the sharp fangs in your mouth.
Your words sunk in, the realization making his chest feel tight. -They protected me from other demons who desired my death. Their level of devotion surprised me.- he thought.
"I'm sorry, i don't have anything to do in my free time. I live in an abandoned building, during the night i usually steal books from the libraries and during the daylight i sleep and read." You say and while he listened to your words, he picture you stealing books from libraries and reading them. It was an unexpected vision, but not an unwelcome one.
"You steal books from libraries and read them?"
"Yes, but when i finish them i came back to the library at night and put them there back again."
"You steal books only to put them back when you're finished? Seems counterproductive."
"I don't want people tl get fired because of me" Your concern for the library employees made him pause for a moment. Your unexpected compassion for others, despite being a demon, continued to surprise him.
"You... You don't want the library employees to get fired because you stole their books?" He repeated, his tone laced with a mixture of surprise and admiration.
Iguro hear the other hashiras walking, you heard them too but didnt say nothing . "i think.. they are here."
"It's okay, i'm ready." It was true, you were ready for everything. You spent countless years alone, the loneliness were unbeareble. The sound of the approaching Hashiras reached your ears, their footsteps growing louder as they approached.
Iguro spared a glance towards where they would appear, knowing the time had come for them to arrive and tensed, preparing for what was to come.
