Recomendations / tutorial on drawing poses?

oohhh my best recommendation is practicing timed life drawings!! GES DRAW PARTY on youtube is a great resource for poses and their videos include timers as well i can't stress enough how practicing life drawings will help immensely with improving in drawing poses. it helps with fluidity in your poses so they look alive, and they're intentionally messy/quick so it forces you to not fret about the tiny details. when you’ve done enough life drawings, creating your own poses will come to you a lot easier

when i’m referencing poses, my best tip is to look for the lines of action so the poses don’t look stiff! example:

You know that meme that’s like “A job will have you, a 21 year old, with a 55 year old bestie” Well, AU where Ilya gets hired at the Treasury Board and quickly becomes besties with David Hollander. They’re really good at their jobs so they finish most of their work by 10:30 am and spend the rest of the day fucking around and pretending to be busy together. They get lunch together and talk shit about their boss. David tells Ilya that he’s throwing a birthday party and asks Ilya to come. “You can meet my son and talk hockey! I think you’ll like him!” Ilya decides to go and the party is in full swing when he arrives. David takes him around, introducing him to people until they make it to David’s son. David introduces him to Shane and Ilya is taken by how beautiful Shane is. He’s admiring Shane’s freckles when it dawns on him that he’s staring at THE Shane Hollander, best hockey player in the league. David told him that his son plays hockey but he never put it together that David’s Shane was THE Shane. Ilya and Shane end up in the far corner of the living room, talking all night as the party goes on around them. Years later at their wedding, during his speech, David admits to throwing the birthday party to hook Ilya and Shane up.

PRIDE Books this month!!

In honor of Pride month, here is our second LGBTQ+ Romance Novel!!

Today, we have the beautiful book, "You Should Be So Lucky" by Cat Sebastian! Now, I am going to be so for real, this is the second book in the series. I was not aware that it was the second book in the duo-logy (the first book being "We Could Be So Good") but it is still really good! I'm like halfway through, and I personally really enjoy it!

Here is the Summary:

"The 1960 baseball season is shaping up to be the worst year of Eddie O'Leary's life. He can't manage to hit the ball, his new teammates hat him, he's living out of a suitcase, and he's homesick. When the team's owner orders him to give a bunch of interviews to some snobby reporter, he's ready to call it quits. He can barely manage to behave himself for the length of a game, let alone an entire season. But he's already on thin ice, so he has no choice but to agree.

Mark Bailey is not a sports reporter. He writes for the arts page, and these day's he's barely even managing to do that much He's had a rough year and just wants to be left alone in his too-empty apartment, mourning a partner he'd never been able to be public about. It's been a great read so far! I would probably recommend reading "We Could Be So Good" before this one, but, I've been fine so far. Happy Pride and Happy reading!!

PRIDE Books this month!!

In honor of pride month, I will be recommending some of my favorite LGBTQ+ books! For today, ofc, we have the Game Changer Series, but I'm only gonna talk about Game Changer (I will talk about the others later)

Game Changer is the first book in the Game Changer series. Heated Rivalry has become the most popular book from the series, but don't just hyper-fixate on that one! Here is the summary:

It is such a good book!!!! WARNING: THERE IS SPICE AND SMUT, (not as much as heated rivalry lol) so if you're not comfortable reading that, here are the chapters that include it: 5, 7, 9, 10, 14, 15, 17, 17, 25, 26, and 27 (there's a lot, but the book is sooooo gooooddd)
