Note : I will be reclaiming/using slurs here, so dont read if youre not comfortable with that.. Its only two, but still. But like. Felt a warning was proper etiquette. But then again, this is the outlast trials. 1959. Its sort of a canon event that theres slurs involved.
Persephone
Canonically - she only weighs a hundred pounds and is physically incapable of gaining anymore weight. Her mother literally starved her to the point she can’t gain weight anymore no matter what she eats.
Persephone’s parents embezzled money from the church they ran and neglected the orphanage they built. They preached as devout followers of christ, but behind closed doors they showed no christlike traits. Persephone realized this at a young age and stopped believing her parents lies before she was even ten.
Persephone used to have long hair. Key words, ‘used to’. After her sister died at the hands of her father, she cut everything off in rebellion. This would prove to be one step towards her placement in the asylum.
Persephone is firm in her beliefs and she won’t let anyone dictate what she deems as true or not anymore. She can and will verbally berate you if you do something she knows is wrong. She may be shy, but she sure can come up with creative insults.
When inebriated, Persephone becomes a lot more of a powerful reagent. Physically weak and lacking of an ESOP and night vision, yes, but with the confidence of a thousand suns and the speed of a trackstar racer, Persephone is a force to be reckoned with. Nobody will be spared from her words and a few bottles, if they set her off.
Persephone’s relationship with Franco started off as one sided, yeah, but somehow, some way, this misogynistic manchild managed to worm his way into her heart. She just hopes he’ll try to better himself for her.
Persephone’s only crime to end up at the Sinyala facility? Sneaking out to visit her sister’s grave on the anniversary of her death. Her parents labeled her as ‘disgustingly rebellious’ and shipped her off to the facility without any prior research.
Despite Leland calling Persephone a retard because of her autism, she doesn’t let that drag her down. She just ignores him and tries to put as much distance between herself and Leland as possible.
Persephone is weirdly agile and flexible. She maneuvers through the trial grounds effortlessly, while also maintaining silence and grace. She uses her skills in acrobatics to get around most often, and if there’s a hard-to-reach spot, she’s probably huddled herself inside at least once.
Raven
Raven, despite her youthful appearance, is somewhere closer to being 30 than she is to being 20.
Raven’s grin has been described as an ‘eldrich horror’ by many who have witnessed it. The way her mouth stretches and curls is unsettling to most people.
Raven’s violence stems from a heart of hatred towards those who harm others. Of course, she’s aware that she’s a massive hypocrite, but she doesn’t care. To her, beating the shit out of that racist cop is cathartic.
Raven is repulsed by most men. She’ll admit it, yeah, she’s a misandrist. She has a few guy friends, who she justifies being around with ‘theyre the good ones’. Besides, its not like theyre leering at her. The three of them are all faggots anyway. Not like she’s any different anyways.
Raven’s attraction to women can be compared to how attracted Gomez Addams is attracted to Morticia. She loves women and she’s not shy about it. She tells anyone thats grossed out by her preferences to fuck off, and that its her life.
Raven despises Leland with her whole heart. If she’s in a trial with him, she’s immediately seeking his ass out to beat the shit out of him. She finds it entertaining to have him under her, beaten bloody and breathing heavily.
Leo
Don’t fall for those puppydog eyes. Leo can and will immediately pelt you with bottles and bricks if you do.
Leo’s.. questionable taste in men has no origin. Seriously, how did he somehow land a polyamorous relationship with the psychosis gas addict and a prime asset with the worst god complex possible??
Leo despises his appearance. Being German and looking the way he does is.. Annoying. It makes him feel like a bad remnant of world war two. Even if his parents weren’t like that, it still makes him feel gross.
Leo sings. A lot. He could be in the middle of a trial and just burst into song. Usually, its while there’s already someone chasing him. He uses it as a taunt of sorts, showing off how he’s managing to get away while distracting whoever is chasing him with his music.
Despite Leo’s happy-go-lucky attitude, his reason behind being at the facility is so gruesome that Dr. Easterman won’t even let the doctors read his file to that point. He’s just removed the page entirely. Lets just say he was soaked in blood and maniacally happy the day he was admitted. He’s not allowed near knives.
Despite being called a filthy nazi by Leland, Leo doesn’t hate him. Getting called something like that just determines Leo to prove him wrong.
