Zoro had been so focused in that guy that he never realized that he left the door open, not that it minded that much really, but he couldnāt help but arch a little his brow when the ādoctorā went to close it.Ā
His first words came to his ears and his eye narrowed slighly after hearing him laugh. Did he think he was poor or something? He had enough money for paying for his services, but if that guy wanted to play, he was okay with it. Yet, taking another look to the apartment, well, if one of both needed money that one was clearly the supposed-to-be-a-doctor. And also, the one hell of a mess in there made him think that the guy had just moved.. or he was a complete disaster, and disater and doctor, for some reason, didnāt work well in Zoroās mind.
"You talk like if you didnāt need the money" he wasnāt stupid. He knew that, in case that guy was really a doctor he was risking himself for doing that, treating a stranger with a bullet on the back. Helping people that was supposed to be involved in something illegal was, convenitently, illegal too. So, if he was a doctor practising his profession out of the hospital or out of a private consulting room, that was illegal too. And obviously, if that guy was just a student, he was ruining his possible future as doctor for helping him. But if Shakky, that woman that owned the bar he usually went when he didnāt work on Fridays was right, that wasnāt his first time helping someone injured doing something not very legal.
So, all in all, both of them could be in deep shit if the other decided to talk. But then that guy added that the first time was free, and Zoro relaxed a bit.
He knew he was overthinking about that topic, so he just let it be. He was glad that the other said that he could fix that. He also was going to need an excuse for the gym next day, for not being able to follow his own training table, but he could figure out something for sure.Ā
Zoro didnāt move when the other suggested him to find a better position for Law to extract the bullet, he was quite okay sitting on that table.Ā
He stared at the other briefly while he moved all over his apartment, studying what he did, but his last words were the ones that made him, definitely be more comfortable in there.
"Yes, some booze would be fine" not that he couldnāt understand the pain, but he loved booze for a long list of reasons. While he waited for the other to finish whatever he was doing with the medical tools and bring the booze, his eye found the sword replica, and narrowed once more.
"Why do you have that?" he couldnāt help but ask. "Why donāt you buy the real thing?"
