@deathnotetober 2021:  Reaper

It was Duskull Community Day today in Pokémon Go, and they look like little grim reapers (and I love them).  Shiny Duskulls are red, and Death Notes can be red (a little known manga fact made more known because of the Japanese live action drama).  I also wanted to draw Mikami.  So I thought it’d be cute to have a shiny Duskull bestow a matching red notebook upon him in place of the traditional canon shinigami.  I suppose because of the “bond between shinigami and human,” he can understand the Duskull.  Self indulgent all around~.

Rose Quartz and Ryuk would initially get along due to their age, shared dissatisfaction with their home worlds, and interest in humans. But, after falling in love with Greg Universe, Rose would grow to resent Ryuk for reminding her of her lingering selfishness and of her own previous attitudes towards humans (seeing them as playthings and entertainment, unintentional as it was in her case). The fact that shinigami prey on humans specifically doesn’t help things. She had previously accepted it as a fact of life, but it becomes harder to ignore due to her fondness for humanity and an awareness of how short their lives already are. The two would clash, but after realizing that they can’t permanently kill each other, merely agree to cut ties.

At least, that’s my version of the story of Rose and Ryuk.
