Woohyun and Belle was sitting at Madam Puddifoot’s tea shop, a small cake and two cups of coffee sitting in front of them. Woohyun had always been interested in the muggle world, whether or not it was a game, computer, or books. He sat in front of the other as she blabbed on and on about some kind of game called ‘Pokemon.’ He didn’t want to be rude or anything about it or even admitting to the fact that he had no idea what she was talking about, so he just sat there, nodding from time to time and agreeing to what she was saying. 

So far what he has gotten from what she said to him was they were sort of like animals but you had to capture them in some type of ball. Woohyun didn’t understand the whole concept of capturing them and wondered how such a thing could fit in such a small ball. However he did find it adorable the way her eyes lit up as she kept rambling on about the game. 

He brings his cup of coffee to his mouth and was about to take a sip until the other asked him a question that made him choke on it. “W-What?” He uses his sleeve to wipe his mouth and looks at her while putting down the cup, “What.. Pokemon do I like..? W-Well..” He laughs quietly, “I like that... one cute one, you know..?”

It was their last day at the hotel, the last day of holidays break. On the next day the two boys would be heading to plataform 9 ¾ to go back to their usual routine at school. But until then, Daniel wanted to enjoy the comfort of the hotel’s bed and just relax before being in literal panic thanks to the upcoming exames.

After packing his bag, he threw his body on bed, sighing heavily. Turning around few times until finding a comfortable position on bed. He heard Jemery’s voice, claiming an out, or something like this, but it only made him pout.

“I don’t wanna go out. I wanna stay and rest. Can’t we?” He flashed his best friend his best puppy eyes, pouting cutely along. Then he suddenly flashed the other a childish smile, while patting the small empty spot next to him on bed. “Come, let’s be lazy together.”

Woohyun had spent at least the past two weeks with his best friend and his mom. As he was packing his luggage with his clothes and textbooks, he slips something into his pocket. He continues to pack, trying to fit his last pieces of clothing into his article. 

While the other’s mother and him were looking at certain of things at a shop, Woohyun had managed to slip away from them and stared at a couple of jewelry that was being displayed. He motions the associate, indicating that he would want two of the items, one in a nice looking box so he can present it to his friend.

“Fine, you lazy bum.” Woohyun laughs quietly, and closes his trunk, “I’m finally done with packing everything. Can’t you believe that winter vacation is somewhat over by now?” He walks over and sits beside the other in the empty space. “So Myungsoo, I was wondering..”

My mom does love you so so much. Aye, I'm jealous now. You're receiving the same amount of gifts as me and I'm supposed to be mom's favorite.

Well, a boy like me must have his charms to woo his-- Uh-- /laughs sheepishly, and reaches over to ruffle the younger boy’s hair; Don’t be jealous though, your mom likes you more than me!

Luna tries her best to stifle her amusement when she notices Woohyun’s reaction to her outfit, it’s a poor attempt when a chuckle still escapes her lips. Times like this were a definite factor in her choice of wearing a suit instead of a more feminine ball gown, there’s also the fact that heels were not her friend. “Something wrong with my suit?” She can’t help but tease the poor boy.

“Now, now, gender roles in dances are unnecessary. Besides, I’m pretty sure that I’m the better dancer out of the two of us.” Truth be told, Luna could care less about who led (and leading was a bit more work to begin with) and only made the statement about leading as a jab more than anything else. “You’d probably step on my toes more than a few times before the song ends… unless that was the point.” And she suddenly has a twinkle of mischief in her eyes. Time to make this dance just a bit more entertaining.

“Ah no... Nothing’s wrong with your suit it’s just... Very ordinary. Didn’t think that someone would be wearing something like that..” He laughs quietly. “The better dancer?” He raises an eyebrow. He didn’t think that the other would say something like that to him. “Well, I came here to enjoy myself not to be attacked by you’re saying--” 

His eyebrow was kept raise as she what seems to be challenging him to see who steps on the other toe first, “Is that a challenge that you are asking for?” He takes her hand and leads her onto the dance floor, putting a hand on her waist and getting ready to dance with her. “I accept this challenge if it is one. I’m sure that you’ll step on me before I step on you.”

He was glad cellphones were allowed for the Yule Ball, his mom was having a blast. He would send pictures of the ball and the people -also himself on the outfit she chose- to the woman. Of course he would lie. He told her he was having so much fun, he was surrounded by friends and of course he had a date. But that was meant to make her happy, so he didn’t feel that bad about his lies. They were good lies. 

Of course he enjoyed it, on his own way. He ate so much he could barey move now, and sometimes a friend would show up to chit chat quickly with him. It wasn’t the best of his nights, but it was quite enjoyable. Until now, that he started feeling too lonely -since he couldn’t distract himself with food anymore-, so he started feeling like going to bed. That, until he felt someone hugging him by the waist.

“What are you doing!?” He complains as soon as his eyes meet his best friend’s. Woohyun disappeared for two weeks and now showed up out of nowhere for a dance. That was the moment he noticed he could never understand Jeremy Nam. “Let go! I’m not a girl, stop being ridiculous!”

He easily got rid of the embrace, that was quite embarrassing for him. But he doesn’t let go of the grip on his hand, following the older male to the dance floor and questioning his choice on agreeing with that. “Can’t we do anything else? I don’t dance. I don’t wanna dance. I’m not a girl, don’t touch me like that again!” He warns the other right away, but his expression was soft, not harmful at all.

“I never said that you were a girl, I’m only asking for one dance.” A small smile forms. Woohyun felt bad for avoiding his friend, he wanted to somehow make it right with him. “Just one dance please? One dance with your best friend, and also a formal kind of dance too, doesn’t hurt right?” 

He kept holding onto the other’s hand, continues to smile, “No we can’t do anything else. Again, I’ve already told you that I didn’t say that you were a girl.” He sighs slightly, “Then did you want to lead the dance? It’s one or the other.” He repeats himself, “I just one one dance, I’ve danced enough with my friends, but I haven’t danced with you yet.”

₍ᐢ•ﻌ•ᐢ₎*･ﾟ｡ (* fingers playfully and quickly find their target, jabbing upon the side of the unsuspecting male to obtain his attention. a small giggle skitters its way through the air, hands withdrawing back to her own side in a small defensive position in case he decides to retaliate. but before he can she throws out a side question to conceal the real one that has been burning in her mind since she’s spotted him early on with a partner that she was not expecting - not that she disapproved obviously two friends together were certainly better than two friends alone awkwardly moving their way around the giant hall. but she had been so sure that there was another person that fluttered to both of their minds. ) so… are you enjoying yourself?

/he was taking a break from all the dancing and stood by the side as he watches his date dance with other people. Feeling a small jab from something -- more like someone -- he turns around to see the younger girl, giving him a small giggle. Before he could protest about what she had done, he laughs quietly and nods his head; ah.. Yes, I am enjoying myself. Just a bit.. I guess too much dancing for me? What about you? Are you having fun?

Woohyun fiddles with his tie a couple of times, he couldn’t in his life manage to make the tie look nice. He was nervous since he asked his ex-girlfriend out to the yule ball, but he figured that it was better to ask her than to ask someone else. Even though, he ended on good terms with most of his ex’s he felt most comfortable with Stephanie. 

Finally, the tie looks exactly how he wanted it to look like and he walks to the edge of his bed to grab his boutonniere that he ordered. Turning around to look at the mirror again, he puts the flower masterpiece onto his suit. He fiddles with it for a couple of minutes and realizes that he was going to be late to pick up the other at her dorms. Stepping away from the mirror, he pats himself down a couple of times before grabbing the small box that had the crosage. Woohyun runs out of the room and heads out of the dorms towards the Ravenclaw tower.

Once he arrives at the tower, he stands outside waiting for the other, while holding the small box close to his chest. Occasionally, he fixes his hair, making sure that his hair was a certain way and not as if it was gross. Woohyun hears the portrait door open and he turns around, his eyes widening and his mouth opening slightly as he sees his date walking out of the door. 

Realizing that his mouth was open, he quickly closes them and walks towards her with his arm extended to hold her hand. Once their hands touches, he bows slightly and kisses her hand, “You look beautiful tonight, Stephanie. I mean-- You always looked beautiful but still.” He smiles at her before straightening himself, “Oh right... This.. Muggle thing-- Whatever it’s called..” Woohyun opens the box and takes out the crosage, “Should I put it on for you or... Do you want to do it yourself?”

Half the night, he was just dancing with most of his friends but there was someone that he wanted to dance with. Even though he bought a date with him to the yule ball, he couldn’t find her anywhere.  Woohyun decides that maybe it’s time for him to eat. He stands in front of the refreshment table, stuffing his face with the food provided.

Once he was done eating, he turns around and sees the male standing awkwardly by the dance floor. Making his way towards him, Woohyun takes a deep breathe. It has been almost two weeks since he had spoke to his best friend. Woohyun didn’t take the rejection that well but since he saw him there, his heart felt at ease. Hoping the other didn’t notice his presence, he slips in front of the other, an arm wrapped around the other’s waist and a hand bringing up to hold his hand. Using the arm around his waist, he brings the other closer to him.

“I just want one nice and formal dance, Myungsoo.” He whispers quietly before the music starts to play, “Let me at least lead this dance.”

Luna’s nursing the same cup pumpkin juice since the start of the ball. Planting herself in the far corner of the great hall, she’s content with just watching her schoolmates dance (or at least try) to the music. Setting the cup down on one of the many tables littering the room, she shoves her hands into the pockets of her trousers. Astrid left her side more than a few minutes ago, not that she really minds. They were each other’s date mostly because Luna thought the idea of the two of them going together in their suits was kinda humorous. She didn’t expect them both to be glue to each other the entire ball, so this was hardly a new development.

The next song begins and at this point Luna begins to wonder if she can slip away without any of the chaperones noticing, until a certain someone catches her eye. Well if entertainment can’t find her, she may as well find some on her own. With a few quick strides, she reaches her dance partner for the next song. “Woohyun-ssi, may I have this dance?” It’s less of a question than anything else as she’s already leading him to the dancefloor, taking up proper positioning and posture. “I hope you don’t mind if I lead” The question is paired with a lopsided smirk that holds challenge more than anything else.

Woohyun was busy having the time of his life. Multiple of times he had asked his friends to at least have one dance with him. So far most of them had agreed in dancing with him but like every human being, Woohyun was tired from dancing so he decides to head over to the refreshment table to grab a couple of drinks while he takes a break. 

After drinking a couple drinks of the pumpkin juice, he hears someone’s voice and he turns around. His eyes widens slightly, almost choking on his drink as he saw the other. She was wearing a suit which sort of threw him off a bit, he didn’t expect her to be wearing one. Putting down the drink to the side, he laughs quietly, and wipes his mouth gently with a tissue, “Yeah sure, but why would you like to lead? Shouldn’t the guy be leading?”

His frustration comes across to her as a biting remark and she would be a liar to say it did not sting but the quiet roar inside her is quickly silenced by rationality - she stays quiet, simply waiting for him to let his thoughts out along with the flurry of emotions that would probably come with a rejection. And when he is ready she finally opens her mouth to speak, precariously careful so not to step on any more sore points.

❝ Maybe he just wasn’t expecting it? Did you show signs that you were interested in him earlier? He might be shocked you know, someone you thought was your good friend suddenly implying they see you romantically…I mean I would be shocked too. Maybe give him a bit of time? Or hmm, ❞ she pauses for a moment in thought, hazel eyes skirting left and right. ❝ If he thinks you’re joking we can show him that you’re serious and see what he says. ❞

“Wasn’t expecting it?” He bites the bottom of his lips, “I mean.. I don’t think I’ve actually showed signs of interest-- Okay I lied, I practically try and meet up with him almost everywhere he goes. We practically have the same classes together so we’re.. inseparable?!” He sighs quietly, “Was it too much to ask him to go to the ball with me? Even as frie--” Woohyun hits his forehead lightly, “Argh, I didn’t even say ‘As friends.’ All I said was, ‘You. Me. Yule Ball. Yeah?’” 

He sighs quietly, walking around the small room. Hearing the other say ‘hmm’ he stops and looks at him, “What-- Wait what?” He furrows his eyebrow and continues to stare at the other, “What do you mean.. that we can show him that I’m serious-- I-- Well.. There’s this other thing.. I didn’t really say..”
