I plan on creating a synth dog. Any tips?

His eyes open wide, eyebrows furrowing for a moment. He backs up, lips parting as his breathing picks up. Almost audible inhaling and exhaling as his chest rises and falls, fingers flexing. He paces a little, shifting from one foot to another as his eyes flicker from one end of the room to another, mind racing for any comprehension of the current situation and problems. Small grunts of distress as he surveys an escape if it comes to it, thinks of at least two methods of settling the situation, and what objects could be used as a weapon if neither previous options are valid. Fingers wringing before him, but never turning his back on the problem. Words are chosen carefully, spoken slowly and cautiously. Fingers running through his hair, tugging a little.
