Gou let out an amused chuckle as the words hit him. “Don’t mention it, I’ll keep him out of trouble, I promise” even if that was true he did joke around a little. There have been so many times Ash has helped him out, so it’s like a mutual thing for the two.

If somethign Raboot did not like people calling him cute. It made him feel somewhat uncomfortable since he was cool, not cute. An annoyed expression formed to his face as he tried to cover his flushed face.

Raboot slowly reached to get the apple, examining it before taking first bite. Yes, he approved this gift.

There were lots of things Gou didn’t know about Ash and this was one of those things. Hearing his friends answer Gou frowned in a sad manner.

“- . . . I’m sorry to hear that” he replied in more quiet tone. Gou could only imagine a life without his dad, not only he would feel bad but his mom would be lonely as well. Thought of that made Gou’s eyes water up. Quickly wiping his eyes he pushed the sad thoughts away. It was time to cheer his friend up.

“Hey Ash how about you go and celebrate with your mother? Make this day like Mothers Day 2.0. To make it extra special?” that is literally what Gou would do if his dad wasn’t part of his life in any way.

Ash sits on the bed of their shared room. He doesn’t know what else to do. He obviously isn’t going to be able to celebrate. He hasn’t had a dad since he was three.

“Have fun.” Ash smiles weakly over at Gou.

Gou gave one sharp nod as a reply to Ash. He had already planned things with his mom how to celebrate Fathers Day this year. But noticing Ash not being his usual energetic self Gou blinked in confusion.

Gou on the other hand was eating slower pace since he wasn’t hungry at this point. Maybe during the Pokemon hunt he’d be more hungry. He rose his gaze from the plate to Ash as his friend asked a question. There was a short silent moment between the two before Gou gave a single nod.

“Of course, you know you can tell me everything since we are friends, right?” he replied back. “So what is it? Nothing negative I hope”
