On a dark desert highway
Sunday RUNday ☀️☀️☀️ 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️ Ran 13 miles at a 8:45min/mile pace 🤘 Weather got super hot when I went so the last couple of miles I could feel dehydration starting to set in but yeah otherwise it was great!
Ran 9 km, wore my new-ish running shoes that I still love a lot, wore the finisher shirt from one of my fave races ever, stopped mid-run to admire the forest, stopped again to dance around on a log, ran home feeling light and happy. This was a good one 😍
Shoutout to @meggo-waffles for sending me these words this morning.
6 mile run followed by banana bread and watermelon :)
The temp went up by five degrees just during this five mile recovery this morning, whew! Rivers of sweat.
Currently sitting outside reading because it’ll be too hot to be outside for any long amounts of tome this afternoon.
Sunday RUNday 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
Ran 12 miles today at a 8:59 (yeah I know) min/mile pace. Wanted to only throw up once cause it was sooo freaking hot but it was such a beautiful run! ✨🤘
Started this run at 5:55 am in an attempt to avoid the heat. Definitely did NOT avoid the heat (it was 84*F when I started and up to 93* by the time I finished), but I did survive it. Slowed the pace way down and took lots of water stops so I could get all 16 miles in. I am seriously soaked in sweat now 😓💦☀️
today’s run featuring 80 degree temps and the most beautiful tunnels of green. running in the heat because it forces me to slow down and keep an easy pace, and I’m very much a cold weather runner who needs to get acclimated to summer training
Mountain running at its finest ⛰🏃🏽♀️✨
Way more stoked during my run about these wildflowers blooming than the bear I saw.
The cool weather this morning was perfect! Great running and open window weather; sorry Texas peeps. 8 miles on the trail then walked 2 more and strength trained at the gym. 🏃🏽♀️💪🏼
today was as good a day as any to rejoin the sports bra squad. hot, sunny and dripping in sweat after my workout, which featured 8x1:00 sprints at 7:30 pace, with a 1:00 walking recovery.
for the first time in a LONG time, i was really excited for a workout. what a good feeling.
6/14-(11 miles) Last day of work for the week & finally a long run! Got up pretty reluctantly, but still got up at 5am to run😅 Spent the morning chasing the sunrise & my own shadow :) It’s been a while since I’ve done that. Although I was tired I love running before the rest of the world is awake (besides my dad he was awake, hi dad)
Anyway I got started & my legs were tired, but I just went out & did it. The first 4 miles I think I was sleep running I was seriously just going through the motions. I didn’t feel that bad all things considered (meaning the lack of sleep I have gotten this week & my increased activity levels) I started to just speed up naturally. Around mile 7 I started to have stomach problems, but I just pushed through. The last 3 miles were a little hard especially the second to last mile, but hey we did it! Overall a really nice long run. Everything felt good & I just went out and ran. Also my longest run since the half!! Also Negative splits if you ignore the 10th mile!!! (I was having some stomach issues at that point) My splits were & my overall pace was 9:03 so a real solid run! I’m glad to see I still have endurance after last weeks disaster of a long run. 11 miles done before 7am isn’t half bad any day:) And yes I am seen drinking chocolate milk post run in that picture haha
Breakfast was yogurt & blueberry oatmeal (w/ chocolate chips, honey & raspberries) AND some scrambled eggs :) SO good & I was ready for the work day. Today was a long day at work oh my gosh. My kids would not listen to me at all & it was extremely tiring. There were literally multiple fights between kids & just such a long day. So when I got home I was exhausted. I decided to have a yogurt bowl because like I said super hungry. I was supposed to go swimming, but I was seriously exhausted & just very over tired that I ended up skipping my after noon swim. I felt so tired I almost felt sick. Just all thjs activity and not enough sleep catching up to me.
After that I ended up laying down for an hour because I was so so tired. I had been moving all day and I just needed to rest for a bit. I’m so excited to go to sleep tonight😂 Dinner was some mashed sweet potato’s, slow cooker chicken sandwiches & salad :) Then we went on a walk, I did some math, ate some fro yo (lol I need to restrain myself), stretched & went to bed. Long long day, but tomorrow I have off yay!! I have a run, swim & core planned tomorrow:) I’m mostly looking forward to that swim…
Snacks: pre run: granola bar, post work: yogurt bowl w/ cereal & berries, desert: cereal & fro yo hehe
Today I’m thankful for sweet potatoes tbh & sunrises!
Almost summer nights = after work trail runs in the Rockies ☺️🏃🏼♀️
another run bites the dust 🌤
Easy 6k shake out run this morning 🌞
