When I was younger I always wanted to be an actress and model. I always seen my life being good. I saw myself living in NY and traveling the world and having my face plastered all over billboards around the world. The fact that my mother was a drug addict and my father a an alcoholic and my home life was unstable as a IKEA table, never crossed my mind as a barrier. The fact that I had only ever been to NY as a tourist on a day trip and I didn't know anyone whoever became famous and or moved out of Philadelphia was never even considered. I never saw my dreams as impossible. I never saw them not coming true. I always saw my life bright a vividly. My dreams of becoming a model faded eventually and a little while ago I unintentionally gained the title of Role Model. I'm no famous actress but in late 2016 I'll be turning my novel A Beautiful Struggle into a movie where I'll not only write and direct it but also star in it. I guess my dreams weren't too far off after all. People ask me all the time how I over came, and it's simple, there wasn't any other option. Society said I'd be nothing more than a statistic.
