âWeâve already suffered so much. Weâve lost so many people to war, and famine, and historical events. Almost seven million Ukrainians were killed in World War II, more than any other country. We donât need much. Weâre not an imperialistic people. We arenât very warlike. Our land is covered with black soil, so we can grow everything we need. We just need peace.â (Baryshivka, Ukraine: HONY Archives 2014)

Tienda de artesanias WayĂșu, Artesanias Colombianas, Bolsos WayĂșu, Mochilas WayĂșu, Venta de Mochilas WayĂșu, Pulseras WayĂșu, Tobilleras WayĂșu,
This is my tribe. Many of us in our home countries live off selling handmade goods, especially the mochilas. Weaving is an important WayuĂș tradition. Every pattern and assortment of colors tells a unique story, and it's important to our cultural identity. And right now with the crises in Venezuela and Colombia, a lot of us are struggling financially. Please always purchase directly from indigenous communities!
I was walking through the toy aisle at Target when I found this thing and had a VIOLENT AND IMMEDIATE FLASHBACK to when JP first came out and they had a bunch of REALLY COOL T Rex toys that I would have sold one of my scrawny small-child limbs for but my mother wouldnât get me one because they were âtoo violent and also ate peopleâ :(
hnn I WANT IT SO BAD
on closer inspection, it makes a lot of really obnoxious noises and is also Too Expensive. BUT FEAR NOT I found this slightly smaller dude wedged in the back!
IT HAS BITE ACTION, AND THATâS THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS
now we enter the testing phase

Extreme Chompin T-Rex says ITâS NEVER TOO LATE TO FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS
Can we take a moment to appreciate that we can use this as a rosetta stone to say âEXTREME CHOMPINâ â in four languages?
OH SHIT YOUâRE RIGHT, let me check the garbage to see if itâs still there! hopefully I didnât destroy it in my excitement

As many of you know, today is Trans Day of Remembrance.
There are no words to express the utter loss our community has suffered this past year. Thirty nine of our siblings in struggle, many of whom were people of color, were killed in the U.S. since January 1 of this year. There may be others whose names we do not yet know. This is a time of mourning for the entire community, and we must hold each other close as we close out the year next month.
Take care of ourself today, and every day after this. Give yourself the time to feel, to experience, to love, to embrace as we remember these thirty nine names, faces, lives, people, and the ones who came before us.
We say their names - and remember their stories

âThe football coach at my college opened his training program to any athlete who wanted to join, even women. I was captain of the volleyball team, so I decided to give it a try. The program was military style. We woke up at 5 AM. And Coach Brooks himself was a very intimidating man. Heâd been an All-American lineman in college, and he was still massive. Everyone called him âsir.â And he didnât tolerate misbehavior. But Iâve always loved structure, so I could keep up. Within weeks Coach Brooks had elevated me to program captain. He stood me in front of seventy athletes, almost entirely male. He watched me break the womanâs deadlift record. And when the quarterback made a comment about âlifting girl weight,â Coach Brooks heard about it. And the quarterback apologized the next day. That kind of advocacy gave me a lot of confidence. After graduation I decided to attend a womenâs tackle football game. And as I flipped through the program, reading the bios of the players, I realized that none of them had trained with a male college team. So I emailed the teamâs owner and asked about tryouts. I ended up playing professionally for six years. And Coach Brooks followed my entire career. He loved that I was a lineman, just like him. Heâd go to our website and check my stats. He hung our team shirt in his gym, and asked for another to give his goddaughter. Unfortunately his life was cut short at the age of 47. It was a routine surgery gone wrong. When I heard the news, I was so devastated that I had to leave work early. Only then did I realize the impact heâd had on me. He didnât have to give a damn. He didnât have to let women in his program. That wasnât his job. But if he hadnât, Iâd never have had the confidence to play football. Itâs too much sacrifice. I have seventeen pieces of metal in my leg. And Iâm not paid to do this. Almost no women are paid to play any freaking sport. So when I had to dig deep, and find a reason to go on, I thought back to my time with Coach Brooks. After his death, I called his old college to find some pictures of him on the field. And that year, when we won the world championship, it was his number I was wearing on my chest.â
Tonight we mourn, tomorrow we continue the fight.

Today, Breonna Taylor would have turned 27. In honor of her, please consider donating to the gofundme her family has set up, and help those in her community who are fighting for her by donating to Louisville Community Bail Fund . Also, please sign petitions: including the petition set up by the Action PAC (it is aiming for 1 million signatures), the petition thatâs been going around social media (it is aiming for 4.5 million signatures), the MoveOn petition (it is aiming for 600,000 signatures), and the ColorofChange petition (it has reached itâs goal of 750,000 signatures, but you can still sign). All of these petitions urge the Kentucky government to hire a special prosecutor to investigate the three police officers responsible for her death, to investigate the Louisville police department, to ensure the LMPD pays her family, and to get Congress to discuss the constitutionality of no-knock warrants. Additionally, visit the website set up by the political committee her family contacted, where you can make calls to key officials.
I got this from a Google Doc but I think itâs hard to access because of how many people who has requested it but here is the tweet with the links to every petition you need to sign (not just ones concerning Breonna) and other place to donate. There are templates provided on that document to help you write an email or make a call to certain officials. I provided links to their emails/websites, in case thatâs easier to make use of than making phone calls.
