Shane is quiet for just a moment too long, and Ilya is about to question it, but Shane leans forward and suddenly kisses him. It is tender and careful, not like the eager and heated way it was the night before. Ilya leans forward, gently pressing his lips against Shane’s and tracing one hand up his back.

The slow pace is odd yet enjoyable, though entirely unfamiliar. Most of their kisses are frantic and hungry, both of them trying to devour the other in the brief moments they share. They usually kiss as a prelude to something more, or in between the bitemarks they leave on each other's bodies. There’s this frenetic energy they share that never lets them stop and slow down.

This is so different.

A fix-it fic where Shane stays at Ilya's after the "tuna melt and ginger ale" scene. This takes place the following morning and contains no spoilers for the books or TV show.

Using my old account for Heated Rivalry posting because I can’t keep it contained in my brain anymore or act normal.

I’m desperately trying to get offline and not start writing a Hollanov fic when I have a million things to do, such as crying in the shower to the All The Things She Said club remix.

I’m still alive but my current hyperfixation is reading and rereading Heated Rivalry and The Long Game and consuming all forms of media related to it.

Might have to start a side blog soon so I actually post things instead of disappearing until my fixation wears off. 😅

Also, it’s wild to see that like, a dozen of my old friends/mutuals from the RWRB fandom are fic authors in the HR fandom. I love to see it.

sometimes I think I'm putting too many sex scenes into something . and then I look at what's happening in the world and I'm like oh yeah there's a massive puritan shift and censorship wave happening. why on earth am I feeling guilty for writing self indulgent fanfic lmao. I think I will make the characters do it sloppy AGAIN !!!!!
