Honestly I am bitterly jealous that the people in the universe of Debut or Die got to see the May Bridegroom performance.
Meanwhile the rest of us just have to make do with imagining the situation.
Can't wait for that arc to be adapted to webcomic format...
But even then we wouldn't get the vocals.
Tbh i feel this way about several moments in this novel, like Ahyeon's backflip but like I just finished reading about the May Bridegroom so now I am going to let the fact that I can't see it ruin my day. Maybe even my week.
I have been reading Debut or Die, Trashy PD and AMKHI and I noticed that across the board, at least one character has beef with Gungseo font.
I never saw this kind of literary trope before.
Zoey has baby bangs, Mystery has very long bangs. If they have a kid their kid should have regular length bangs.
Book Hangover is so real, what am I even supposed to do?
Just Seo Hoyun.
Seo Hoyun who loves his little brother more than anyone or thing in this world.
Seo Hoyun who basically became his brother’s parent when their parents died and shoulder the responsibilities of child care, physical rehabilitation (because he was in the same accident that killed their parents), having relatives harass them after their parents died, and eventually becoming one of those evil editor/producers to make money to support them.
Seo Hoyun who let himself get cursed at but made sure his brother would never have to face that same scorn.
Seo Hoyun who wants to return to his old life after getting stuck in an alternate reality with a system that forces him to be an idol even though he’s come to care about his group mates and the life he’s built because he’s so worried about his brother being alone in the original world.
Seo Hoyun who loves a version of his little brother who doesn’t remember who he was and is.
Seo Hoyun that pushes himself to finish the system missions as quickly as possible even though the backlash is slowly killing him because he wants to return to his brother.
Just Seo Hoyun.
I have never, and will never, use "ofc" to mean "of fucking course". It literally stands for OF Course...
I didn't know it meant that and I was brazenly using it in work group chats 💀💀💀
Reading about an MC who rebels against an oppressive management and bad actors while also taking care of his team brings me an INSANE amount of joy. Fixing the emotional damage caused by a shitty team at work more and more with each chapter.
One reason I was so obsessed with Maybe Meant To Be when it was ongoing on webtoon was because Jia's internal monologue and narration sounds, almost to a T, like my own internal monologue. Like, if I'm thinking something to myself, the voice and tone of my thoughts sounds exactly like narration in Maybe Meant To Be.
I had never felt so seen. I don't think I will ever again feel so seen.
I was genuinely fascinated by the story because of this.
