Review!!! : Lost Romance

Oh my gosh, I think this may be one of my favourite Taiwanese dramas in recent years. I’ve been struggling hard to get back into watching dramas because of my busy schedule, and also because I find the dramas in the past few years to be quite repetitive in terms of storyline. Although this drama has the typical romcom side of it, it is something refreshing to say the least. I loved the cuteness in the drama and most importantly, I didn’t expect so many kiss scenes, esp for an East-Asian drama!

You will find yourself indulged into the drama if you’re a romcom and fantasy sort of person - this one cannot be missed! It’s not Vivian Sung’s best acting performance, but nonetheless she made it comfortable to watch - not being the typical weak female character. Marcus Chung, I would say is a typical girl’s dream man ;)

Review!! : Remembering Lichuan Okay, I’m not going to lie, I totally watched this drama because of Godfrey Gao, although I tend to watch a drama for the storyline first before the actors. But God!!! What have you been putting me through, I laughed, I smiled, I was hopeful and I cried. And round the circle it goes. This drama originated from a novel, and shall I say, I’ve never watched something so emotionally touching! It taught me the hardships of love and health, although I did shed a few tears, it was worth it for Godfrey. His acting has improved a lot since MoMo love, and man he still looks fantastic as always. If I had to choose, I will not watch this drama again just to save myself from drowning from my tears. But I will definitely watch the next season that I am hoping they will make 😭😭😭. The main girl was really really good at acting as well, though she could be a bit too strongheaded sometimes, you could understand her side. What could I say? I’m still crying and smiling by just writing this review! My ratings:- Storyline : 7.5/10 Acting : 8.5/10 Overall impressions : 7/10 Reccomendation : 7/10

I can’t believe this lovely gentleman has left us, I tried avoiding to look through anything related to him in the past few months because I know I will just cry about it. Someone as shy as him, and such a talented young guy taken too soon. Maybe God saw this Tall Handsome Godfrey with the same name and wanted him to help him out there up above. 😥😥😥 He is the first ever guy that I basically said YEP, he is the guy that everyone will aprove of, and even from people in the west, you know what I mean. Oh damn, I just can’t believe it.

Review!!! : Master’s Sun

Okay, I have watched both So Ji Sub and Gong Hyo Jin’s dramas before and I loved their acting but I don’t know why it took me so long to start watching this one! Can I just say from the first episode it did give me a few jump scares haha, but it then turned out to be a lovely romantic comedy, which is one of my favourite genres. I love Ji Sub’s gestures in this drama, it added alot to the comedy side. And Hyo Jin topped it up with her as always lovely acting skills, she is more innocent in this drama than I have seen in her other dramas, which in my memory I have always pictured her to play more mature characters. And oh boy the second lead!!! I knew him from Shopping King Louie, he is more manlier in this drama (except from being scared of ghosts haha). All and all, it was a unique but basic storyline, nothing too twisty or overwhelmingly exciting happened, yet it was quite refreshing to watch.

21st Century Humans

This world has become somewhat distant from humanity. Each day something new comes up to shock the world, But it does not shock people. The norm to hear people's sorrow is no longer a stranger to our ears. Rather than working to save these tears from filling a river, Nations of power leave it to flood billions of souls. Cowardness stops people from reaching out, This then becomes or already is at the point of selfishness. Greed of society closes the chance for unity to be formed. Technology created wealth in many ways, But it also invented the poor in human acts and personality. Discrimination vs Discrimination: racism, lies, greed, heartlessness. This is not what the world needs, But this is what 21st century humans have. Only if people unite and help one another, It may, it should and it definitely will get better.

Review!!! : Goblin / Guardian: The lonely and Great God

Ummmm, just wow, wow, wow! I’ve missed watching Goong Yoo’s dramas and I also enjoyed watching Kim Go Run’s Cheese in the trap, so putting two amazing actors together just makes a drama even better! And of course we can’t forget the charming Lee Dong Wook! Man, some people just don’t age right? 😂 Anyway, back to reviewing the drama! This drama was so refreshing and was definitely a magnificent story to lure the audience to watch it, something different to the other typical romcom kdramas out there. Oh boi, can I say the CGI in this was just pure class! Not tryna boast, but I kinda guessed the answers way before they revealed it esp the part about the grim reaper Dong Wook! But still, when I found out I was like shouting and screaming, like yep I love twisters in dramas! This drama is really worth watching, especially for the intelligent plot, something so new ever since after my love from the stars or one of my favourite dramas - kill me heal me. Loved it from start to end! Brill job!

Review!! : K2 Bruhhhh. How could Ji Chang Wook look so good in every camera angle, every perspective, like you just can’t fault him! Man, only if I can find a man like him. Anyway! If you are looking for a action plus conflict-like drama then this one is for you! But if you’re looking for a romance drama then I’m afraid in my opinion this drama will not satisfy you. Although they make Yoona seem like the main girl, she really isn’t. The real main female lead here is Miss Song Yoon Ah who plays the bad and cunning lady. Her acting skills brings so much emotions on screen, you really can’t hate her for playing her character so well! It was just so convincing to the point that I couldn’t even properly hate her character anymore because I just know that it’s her acting out an amazing job on screen! Don’t get me wrong, Yoona portrayed her character very well as well, and we as the audience can see that she is improving on her acting skills in every new drama she provides us with. But, in my opinion she cannot claim to be the “main female lead” here, simply because there weren’t enough scenes for her to be one. Overall, I got to see Chang Wook’s abs, and that’s all that matters😂😊😅😄, only joking. Overall, I genuinely watch dramas for their storyline, and this one just managed to hold me onto the very end.

Review!! : Taste of Love If you fall in love with somebody, then of course I know it’s hard to confess your love to them. Showing it through mean ways or teasing them might be your “tactic” to get closer to that person. Ray Chang 😏, a pretty fine body, those abs are not bad too (by not bad I mean… 😍😍😍), but OK back to the story! Vivian Sung plays a really sweet girl who is willing to help people when they are in need, but meeting the typical bad boy is a must in these romcom dramas. But you know, “bad boy” also means “sweet boy”, the boy that will become more gentle just for the sake of love. This drama will certainly allow you to see the lovey dovey relationship that eventually will build up from a first bad impression to the caring relationship that every couple would like in their relationships. Review!! : Cheese in the trap

This is the first time for me to watch a drama with Kim Go Eun in it, and it was somewhat refreshing and enjoyable to watch her character grow throughout the story. And woah, Park Hae Jin shiiiii, haha, I enjoyed his character in MY LOVE FROM THE STARS and so I thought I will give this one a try, no need to say but I’m going to say it anyway, he is pretty damn charming! Although his character in this drama might seem a little bit strange, you do get to empathise with the character and eventually grow and adapt to enjoy seeing his loveable (and ever so damn sweet) side of him. And, HELLO Seo Kang Joon, you little hottie and those beautiful hands on the piano drew me into the inspirational side of the drama even more! The sister did a great job portraying her role well, although you might not like her character, you will love the way she acted it out. Through this drama you will learn the challenges of friendships, relationships, those ever so hard and unwanted presentations that we had to go through during school/Uni, but most importantly the meaning of trust and love. Review!! : Hyde, Jeckyll, Me Woah, woah, Hyun Bin is back and he is as adorable as ever! I really liked how he played the two personalities differently and yet the audience could fall in love with both of them! This drama was very fun to watch as you will just be waiting for that damn dimple smile Hyun Bin makes! Brill drama with a lot of thought to how mental illness could affect a person’s day to day life. And, of course the love story is never disappointing from Hyun Bin and the beautiful goddess, Ji Min! It was very cute in how we see she slowly fall in love with both of the personalities! Remember to watch this and remember that you are not only watching it because of those damn dimples, but also for the lovely love story of it! I also loved the drawings that he drew in the drama (both good and bad ones!) 😂 My ratings:- Storyline: 7.5/10 Acting: 8/10 Overall impressions: 8/10 Recommendation: 8.5/10

Review!! : oh my venus I love these sort of dramas! I love the ones where you can see a process of good change, in this case it would be weightloss but most importantly you see the development of cute chemistry between ji sub and min-a. They have definitely done a brill job with the make up and fat suit for the main girl, it looked so realistic. The whole drama was very cute and at the same time you will get the typical emotional feels with a tear or two. A lovely and simple story that could captivate you into it easily. I just love it! Henry: “Yes mam”. Haha, he’s adorbs! If you want a sweet and kiyomi drama, then this one is a must! It will also get you motivated to accomplish achievements to your fullest too! And I can’t help but to think of Kim woo bin’s jealousy over the two leads’ cute chemistry! My ratings:- Storyline: 7.5/10 Acting : 8/10 Overall impressions: 8.5/10 Recommendation: 8/10

Review!! : Hi My Sweetheart This is one of my favourite Taiwanese dramas of all time, I’ve probably watched it at least 3 times already. Taiwanese writers love making funny and sometimes over dramatic romcom dramas, but somehow this one nails it. Show luo’s silly but cute character makes me fall in love with the story even more. I just love how you get everything in one: funny, romantic, emotional and interesting. Also, if you like the pink panther, haha then you’re in for a treat! Rainie won the best actress award for this drama and Show got nominated for Best male actor but unfortunately was beaten by a kid for the award. I laughed, I cried and I enjoyed this drama! The best, and you cannot resist to watch more! My ratings:- Storyline: 8/10 Acting: 8.5/10 Overall impressions : 10/10 Recommendation: 9/10

Review!! : Pleasantly surprised aka Love myself or you! I loved puff guo from Just You and I knew Jasper from In time with you. Their chemistry in this drama is just so sweet, and those dimples of Jasper melted my heart! I liked how they used CGI and intense music for the shots when making the food. If you want a decent but not an over dramatic Taiwanese drama then I’ll suggest this one as it is just a simple and enjoyable one to watch.
