oh obsessed with this paragraph from a kogonada interview
[id: I thought what was so fascinating about the ingredients of loss itself, about the necessity to really absorb someone's presence before you can really feel their absence. In this discovery he may think that he was trying to save Yang or get him fixed, but in reality Yang is fixing and saving him just through that process of reconnecting to a life that was passing by him. For me, I know what it feels like to be detached in the world. It protects you from emotion and feeling. Growing up is really about making yourself vulnerable and exposed to things that maybe later on will break your heart. end id]

Finding My Way Back Here
After thinking of someone who was, once of a day, very dear to me, I’ve found myself thinking of who I was. Who I used to be. For both better and worse. That thought process led me back here. To Tumblr. A place I used to love visiting. A place that allowed me to pursue the things that interested me and meet like minded people. A place to gave me the opportunity to discover new things. A place to be honest and to share. Whether it’s just to further explore the things I encounter and enjoy or if it’s a platform to write, the idea of coming back and blogging again has genuine appeal. All this is to say, after a number of years, it’s nice to be back.

I took some of the beautiful footage from Terrence Malick's "Knight of Cups" to compose a melancholic dreamscape based on the idea of memories and recollections of people from our past. It's set to the gorgeous "Glass Eyes" by Radiohead.
I am not using material from either the aforementioned film or song for financial or promotional gain, I am merely a fan of both properties and are fusing them together in tribute to the respective work of both artists.
Off to Edinburgh to see the wonderful Laura Marling 😀
