Mantra for Goddess Nyx
âEmbrace the dark for it brings the light.â
#2: Nyx.Â
After an afternoon / evening filled with research I came upon a conclusion I really should have found at the beginning. I canât believe I overlooked my dear Nyx.Â
Let me first inform you on this dazzling lady. This is Nyx, the Greek Goddess of the night. She is one of the Primeval Gods and is often depicted as traveling in a Chariot across the night sky, painting it with stars as she goes. She is the daughter of Chaos, the sister to Gaia and the mother of many. She is powerful, and although there are not many descriptions of what she looked like, she was thought to be beautiful.Â
I will discuss her in length as time goes on, and i may even re-blog a lot of information in regards to her.Â
But, for now, I feel I have found her. In truth I never need have looked, she was there all along standing in front of me for years.Â

is this a robbery
Dear Diary,
...Nyx be praised. We made it though the house of horrors, albeit with skin on our teeth. We decsended below, with the children, and we we're able to lay them to rest.
Dwark caused some trouble, almost getting eaten by centipedes and summoning a beaked worm. I got to kill it! And got some head pats for it too from Valos. I may be centuries old, but the affirmation is nice. Dwark let his wits get to him, and I realised we may have missed a few centipiedes after healing him after he got shot in the chest...poor thing. Nyx sent us on a trial, and he had no faith for awhile but my songs cheered him up.
Shortly after that Valos ended up in a pit, and I accidentally shot my bow..let's say Dwark did most of the work getting him out, but I healed him up just fine...and got a bit too close for my liking, since I've only been at arms length most of my life, I don't know if it was because Father Lynne wanted me to be safe or he had things in mind for me as I grew in the temple. Eventually we came upon a room, a sacrificial room of sorts. And we we're asked to sacrafice one of our lives. We looked for a way to escape it, and they summoned a horrid beast. We tried to fight it, but we knew it was not worth it. Sadly I was hit by this creature, and I think I might suffer from some bad visions for awhile...at least I have found some admirable companions to keep me company. After a bit of an obstacle, we we're able to just make it out. I couldn't heal everyone to full spirits but enough to start our next journey, even if we are scraped up. I just know I need to stay with these two if I wish to survive. I do not think I'll make it to the temple grounds as originally planned. As I sit here in the lawn of this horrid place, I am glad Rose and Thorn are resting well, not afraid anymore. I would have taken their ashes with me if I could, I would have loved to have to have them see the world with me. But they are with their family now, I hope. I don't think I'll be getting much rest as the sun crawls up...but I think I'll play some hymns to pass the time.
Yours,
Myrrh
