i don’t hate kurt, literally insert all of my Art and Headcanons about him, but i always had some weird feeling about him. so i thought like Oh maybe i just hate how fandom treats him, but i honestly don’t???? BUT i’ve come to the realization that i’m just… lowkey jealous of how MUCH people like him, like i’m jealous that mercedes and tina don’t get talked about and praised on that level ykwim 😭

the glee fandom has a problem of not giving a fuck about the women of color. it’s weird because everyone cares about the men and then those who care about the women often don’t pay attention to mercedes or tina? it just makes me SADDDD LOL

and then i see people who are like “oh OBVIOUSLY i love mercedes and tina!” but they never think about them at all. they’ll exclude them in their aus or fics or whatever. i do believe they like these characters but it’s never enough to actually discuss stuff about them ever :(

and you may say people don’t care about them because they aren’t as featured in the show as other characters, but gleeks make so much content of a bunch of random white men all the fucking time???? white dudes in the fucking backgrounds of shots. white dudes that are in like 4 episodes. white dudes with like 2 speaking lines. some people just don’t care

is it dumb to feel this way? lowkey yeah LMAO.. this is a fandom for a show from 2009 made by white people to sell to a white audience, i should lower my expectations. i honestly don’t even post that much merecedes or tina content, i should probably post them more, but sometimes i wish others would care about them the same way that i do. ya know :/
