no matter how much trauma therapy you do or how determined you are to Face Your Past and heal from it as best as you can i think it's obscenely easy to make the mistake of underestimating how soul-crushingly isolating it is to be in The Place Where It Happened, because it's really difficult not to categorise everyone around you as either Directly Involved in What Happened, A Complicit Bystander in What Happened, Aware of What Happened, or Oblivious to What Happened
and of course the only way to process What Happened is to confront it somehow. so you see the issue here.
