So, I had no idea how to show this properly through just screenshots, so I made a quick edit.

They completely altered the scene where Dr. Brenner gets attacked too😭

I made an edit where I play each version separate and then play them in sync with one another, and then again in slow-mo. The VHS Edition actually prolonged the scene and I had to cut part of it in the beginning to make it sync up properly‼ Just FYI.

Please note The 1st/top clip is always the standard/original version and the 2nd/bottom clip is always the VHS Edition version. I had to put the video in 2:3 Portrait mode to fit the clips properly.

(I tried to lower the volume on the clips since Tumblr loves to jump scare you with loud audio)

but please watch this and tell me what you see. Because I see a difference in both versions. In the original release, the demo moves in to the frame slanted and it's back is completely curved & it also moves more quickly.

In the VHS Edition, it moves in straight-forward with a straightened back and just lunges forward, and also more slowly, which actually made the clip a tad longer than the other so I had to shorten the beginning of it so that they sync up properly sound-wise.

Just watch the Strangers Things 10 Year Video and I have thoughts.

First of all I loved it, and I genuinely got teary-eyed at some parts, but as soon as the cast started talking about the Duffers my smile fell off my face.

There was some odd emphasis. "Everything on this show came from their minds" What strange thing to say in a sentimental casual video, unless they were just told to say that to make the Duffers look better in the wake of the ChatGPT Scandal.

It's strange, I don't think I've ever heard a cast from any other show or movie talk about a director so much? Right? Its crazy how often these cast videos end in copious amounts of Duffer glaze, and its something that's pretty unique to strangers things. Why do the actors constantly feel the need to shower them in enough compliments to make statue blush. Are they held at gunpoint? Is someone making them do this?

Am I the only one who hates it when ppl make Mike “only gay for Will” like he’s allowed to express attraction to other guys whilst still being w Will (e.g. celebrity crushes)

And this can be applied to ships and bl/gl in general it feels so weird to me and it’s like the characters aren’t allowed to have a sexuality outside their love interest (if that makes any sense)

I know its been said before, but it's really striking how different Mike looks from shot to shot in the scene. I can't help but wonder if this scene was reshot or revised after the initial filming.

Another thing about that Robin/Will conversation:

If Robin gave her "Tammy" speech to tell Will to give up on Mike, then, at the tower, when Will is clearly asking for Big Sister advice on asking Mike out...

... WHY does Robin never clarify what she meant?

Why give MORE encouragement and hope just HOURS after telling him to give up on Mike?

Because that WASN'T what she meant.
