Yep that’s my tumblr do what you want with that. So this child was going around on an lgbt account stating in a post talking about how not to assume gender just be looking at someone and basically told everyone trans people aren’t real and that science says they aren’t real. So I tried really hard and didn’t curse and didn’t do this in a passive aggressive way and just explained how they are wrong in every single way in the simplest way possible for even a fifth grader could understand. ann m martin, the author of the books, is an out lesbian. many of the writers and directors involved with the netflix series are black, asian, and latin women. they did their homework, cast a young trans girl to play a young trans girl, and included multiple gay children and gay parents. mary anne and dawn are both played by actresses of colour.

AND the series is smart and funny and very watchable for all ages—i tend to not really watch new shows aimed at a younger audience, but i watched all of season 1 in one day. it’s rated at 100% on rotten tomatoes right now, and that rating is well deserved.

I don’t have a bird but I couldn’t ever imagine neglecting my own pet, and I know people who have noisy birds and they’re just like “dude I’m on the phone can you be quiet for a minute and then I’ll take you out of your cage and you can play”. And honestly that should be the only time you tell any pet to be quiet, that and when you’re sleeping.

Bishop Curry V may be young (10 years old, to be precise), but the little kid from Texas has some big ideas. He’s currently working on a device that could help prevent children from dying in hot cars.

The number of children who died in hot cars increased across the country last year, and Texas had the highest number of cases. Sadly for Bishop, the issue also hits close to home because a baby died in a minivan last summer outside a home near his own family’s home in McKinney.

Bishop was inspired to create a device he calls “Oasis,” which would attach to a car seat and detect if a child is left inside the vehicle, prompting it to blow cool air until parents or the police are notified.

“It would be a dream to have lots of inventions that would save many lives,” the precocious 10-year-old told the news station.

A lot of people don’t realize how easy it is to leave something in a hot car. It’s easy to forget something when it’s not in your daily routine, especially if it’s asleep or under a blanket or something. This is a nightmare. I don’t have kids myself, but I can absolutely understand how this could happen- everyone’s sick so you’re probably kind of out of it, you run in thinking you’re just going to be a minute, get distracted with the task at hand… and then your child dies in a horrific way because of it…

I’m all for any methods or technologies that can help prevent it from turning tragic.

Then several women step in to talk to the PPG about how the villain is using feminism as a scapegoat to get away with toxic and criminal behavior. And how what the villain is doing isnt actually feminist at all.

Like that episode was very good about addressing toxic behaivor from people who are supposedly woke or whatever.
