Hello Everyone! ;v; sorry I haven't been on lately but I thought I should get going again! No cap for now, may change if I get overloaded! Thanks a million yâall!!
No anonymous, so we die like men : what is the hardest part about writing Julian? What's the easiest?
sorry it took so long to reply to this rip
Probably the hardest thing is his the mix of his confident jokster attitude and also his self pity. He has this strange mix of both that makes it sometimes hard to judge how he would react to certain things.
Probably the easiest is his Sarcasm and flirtatious personality. I am a very sarcastic and flirty person myself so I see it as I am rping as myself. and it ends up working out in the end!!

Heâs taking everything into consideration. Hierophant can actually do just what he wanted them to. However, now the doctor would prove useful. Finally someone who can actually touch poison and not die. This would be very convenient. Might also save Kakyoin from using so much of his soul force. So they could get what they needed from the beach and whatnot and Julian would supposedly be able to endure the poison from the needles of the sea urchins. That was a splendid idea. Now, the pearls were still an issue, but they had most of what they would need to finish this mission.
âVery well. Julian can get the needles. Weâll still need to look for pearls and that will be the tedious part. As for my magic? Itâs ice, flight, and dream. I doubt any of that would be useful here. My magic is offensive and excellent for combat. The one thing I do know is that maybe weâre lucky and the edge of the beach and part of the area for the surf contains a small oyster bed that would have pearls. What do you think Kakyoin?â
Kuro was hopeful that Kakyoin would be able to answer this since he seemed to know more about Ocean Life than any of the three here. Hey, he could hope right? And usually his hunches werenât wrong. Usually. First time for everything but this time he was certain he was right and that didnât happen very often. This was probably the weirdest thing to accept. The last one made more sense.
@abmetus
Julianâs offer gets him an appraising gaze before Kakyoin nods. âAlright.â Itâll save himself the trouble of probably getting poked, and he knows how deeply annoying it would be to be kept back for personal safety. Julian can do what he wishes.
âHm.â Kakyoin rubs his chin thoughtfully. âI donât think they live very deep, so something near the shoreline would be likely. And easier to spot from walking.â Not much lives deep, and any time heâs seen mollusks in groups it was somewhere that the sun could easily reach, like on pier stands or something. Sure, that makes sense. So the remaining question is, where would the reef be, or at least the shortest route to the ocean from their semi-inland position. The answer to the second question, he knows, is going north. Thatâs a plan.
âAlright, itâs not too far to get back to the ocean if we go this way,â he points, âand once we get there, Julian and I can inspect whatâs around where we can see. Kuro, if you want, some of your magic would be useful, actually. Since you can fly, you can look and tell us where to go. Places with coral or things set up under the water would look lighter or⌠lumpier? from above, and you can see further out.â And his thoughts actually sound mildly intelligent when he says them aloud, which is nice. Kakyoin isnât completely confident in half the stuff heâs saying, but he knows itâs better than nothing. Somehow heâs become the only one with some kind of plan, but thatâs alight. He likes plans.
Kakyoin tugs on the strap of his backpack and sets off with the others alongside. The ocean isnât far, coming into view after about fifteen minutes. It looks pretty, Kakyoin thinks, but he also thinks heâd like it more if he actually were here on a nice day trip rather than stuck for who knows how long. Sigh. Too bad.
But thereâs one thing he can do while heâs here. Thereâs the saltwater, theyâve got empty bottles. However much âten salt watersâ is, two bottles full is probably enough. More than 10 mL, and 10 liters would be insane, so.Â
[ salt water (10/10) obtained! items remaining: pearls (10) , needles (10) , coral (10). ]
âAlright,â he says. âLetâs get this done.â
-> @iamtoodrunkforthis
âThe power of dream? You, give people unconscious hallucinations? How...interesting.â A smirk followed, but no one was sure if it was flirtatious or in delight of the thought.
He nodded to the plan, sounded intelligent enough. He gazed to the ocean, seeing if he could spot anything from where they were. His gaze was rough in his age, plus trying to see with only one eye was a pain in itself. Nope- too far for anything notable.
Julian keeps up with the group, his long legs making him even step a little in front of the three-pal-pack by a few inches. Once they all reach the water- he joined Kakyion to gather water- putting the caps on and off the bottles for more or storage.Â
âWell there is one thing down- this should be...what ever ten water is probably.â He lifts himself up with a grunt- not a pain one just an aged one.Â
âAlright. What next- ah I guess we look for coral and urchins. My kinda fun.â The words come out sarcastic but his face more seems serious then joking.
He steps along the water line looking into the water for spikes or color- his boots splashing in the inch of water he steps through. The water is suprisingly clear- most sea water is greyed in unappealing. Thats just what he was used to though- being from a culture that just used it for travel and not really anything more than that.
His eye spots spikes in the water- maybe at about waist deep into the ocean water.Â
âHey- my vision isnât the best that might be an urchin. Maybe. Possibly.â

@abmetus @iamtoodrunkforthis
Weâre completely overwhelmed. Weâre running low on supplies and none of us can afford to leave the injured to seek out more. Would you be willing to do so? Please gather sea urchin needles, pearls, salt water, and coral. 10 of each should be plenty! Youâll be given half of what you gather, so, worry not on the reward front!
Kuro checks the request that has been given to him. This would be interesting. After the last one, this would be a little better on their part. Especially after the last fiasco. Though he was still afraid of Julian being in the water. The guy wouldnât actually drown himself would he? That would be horrendous and Kuro could not handle if the good doctor did just that. Kuro wished there was something he could do to keep the guy from even thinking about such things. Still, for the time being, he went to his teammates and told them of the quest.
âWe have to gather sea urchin needles, pearls, salt water, and coral. 10 of each. The saltwater should be easy enough. Sea urchin needles may require some deeper diving along with the pearls and coral. And I donât know if we can just beach comb for hours. These people really need our help and itâs up to- Ok Iâm not going that far because I am not Gold. But seriously. Lives could be at stake. And I know I wouldnât want anything happening to them. So weâre going to have to really think about what weâre doing to get this right.â
The only thing was, what could they really do? Who could survive underwater? Kuro could do it if necessary. He was a decent swimmer and he had experience finding things. He also figured that Hierophant Green might be able to help? Kakyoin should be a good swimmer as well. But what about Julian?
Thatâs one hell of a list. Kakyoin reads it over Kuroâs shoulder, expression only becoming increasingly confused. Ten pearls? He doesnât know much about the frequency of pearls in the ocean, but isnât that⌠thatâs a lot of pearls. âCoralâ is delightfully vague in both type and quantity (what the hell is ten coral?), which at least makes it doable in terms of wiggle room. Salt water is all around them, and the final one is. Dangerous. Those guys are poisonous, and their needles are longer than they look.
(Thanks, incredibly weird knowledge base, for coming in useful for once.)
âUnless someone keeps an oyster farm around here, the hard ones will be pearls, honestly. I wouldnât be too concerned about time pressureâ if they have the time to wait for travelers to come by, they can wait a few extra hours for us. Donât stress.â Itâs mostly so that there isnât another thing weighing down on Kuro or the team at large, more than Kakyoin particularly believing too much of that as fact. Either way, he isnât sure if itâs relevant. âCoral isnât too hard if they just need chunks. Most islands have reefs around, so if we find where this oneâs is, then weâre set⌠urchins would live there as well. But be careful if we have to touch them. Theyâre pointier than they look. I think. I have no idea, truthfully, I just vaguely recall reading that somewhere.â
Kakyoin rubs his chin musingly. What else, what else. Huh. Man whoever made this list is⌠really, really bad at measurements. Or specifics. Heâd like a word with them, but all thatâs around is the slip of paper. âI canât dive any more than the average person can, but Hierophant Green can go underwater indefinitely, as far out as we need him to. Iâm not sure how well he can see down there, though.â His full range is over a couple hundred meters, which couldnât possibly get exceeded.. right? Probably?
> @iamtoodrunkforthisâ
Julian scans over the list as well- as a doctor he isnât quite sure what those things would be fore other than maybe the needles for injections. There were a few things he did know though. One; Sea urchins have poison, that stings badly, and two; that he had a curse to ward off the pain.
âI can get the needles.â He replied quickly, once seeing the list. âI have a...curse- makes it so I suffer pain but I canât die from it. Itâs a pain- really- but itâll get the job done.â He grunts in displeasure as he thinks about it more.
He looks to the other two members of the party. They donât seem too pleased with the thought of him doing this- but hell they were complaining earlier about his âlack of helpâ, so if they deny his one attribute they are just plain and simply idiotic. He listened to that magical term once more...If that magical spell can go underwater as smoothly as he is saying then he probably won't need his help with the urchin...but what else can he do. Ah.
âMaybe if you can get that stuff up here- even if they are alive or dead. I can pull the needles out with no worry to me. That might save us from diving head first into salt water.â He suggests with a hip shift. âOr unless- An-â
He quickly catches himself.Â
â...Kuro. You have any powers, or whatever. You both seem to be the more magically inept here.â

Kakyoin very, very sincerely wishes he does not have to fight with this as his team in the future. (In their defense, theyâre only mildly dysfunctional. It could be worse and he knows that as well.)
Hierophant listens to Kuro, because itâs not an idiot, but does not give verbal acknowledgement, because itâs too unspooled for that. Its acknowledgement is in immediately sending up loops of itself to catch the axe before it can slam into its strands, redirecting how the weapon falls to bury one side of the blade in the dirt next to the orc. Kakyoin steps backwards without looking back, closer to Julian. âThis will be interesting,â he says, mostly to himself.
Hierophant tightens its hold on the orcâs legs and the trees it has in its grasp for support. Many of the trees in the clearing begin to bend inward with the strain, trunks creaking. The orc wobbles with a cry. Strands of Hierophant pierce into its leg on the armless side and with those to destabilize the orc and anchor Hierophant, the orc keels down. Without its arm to absorb any of the impact, the orc lands on its own axe, the upwards-facing part of the blade burying itself into the orcâs chest.
It doesnât kill it immediately. The orc screeches (a noise that makes Kakyoin immediately clap his hands over his ears and feel very dizzy, just from the impact of the noise on the strung-taut Hierophant) and struggles, but Kakyoin feels it really wonât be getting much of anywhere, even if it does manage to stand back up.
He calls Hierophant back to his side, the glowing-green tentacles strewn over the area disappearing back towards their user.
Damn. That didnât work at all. But it weakened the creature enough to where Kuro could use his ice powers. Time to show Kakyoin and the other male in the team what he was really made of and why you should never test him in the first place. And he knew that doing this would protect those he cared about. Yes, even though Julian upset him greatly, Kuro couldnât hate him. He only detested that the guy was trying to be a coward earlier. That wasnât something that ever sat well well with Kuro at all. It was the lowest of low that a human could be. And he had someone he idolized for his lofty ideal of what he thought was true courage.
He took a good breath in and concentrated on what he wanted to do. He had someone to protect. They werenât in danger, but he wished to protect him with everything that he was. Everything he wanted them to know that he was. And what was he you might ask? Well, for lack of better terminology, he was an angel. And one who only wanted those he cared for to be safe. And what came next would surprise even himself.
He glowed with some strange power. This was normal when he activated Absolute Zero in an angered state. But this time was much different. He was activating it out of the will to protect and nothing more. The next thing anyone heard from KuroâŚ
âAbsolute Zero!â
That phrase was the beginning of what would become an entire freezing process. Good thing Hierophant was back with Kakyoin. The ground started to freeze and the Orc was freezing from the ground up. After it was all over, the glowing ceased and Kuro then threw a feather at the Orcâs head and let it pierce through, as if a dart on a dartboard. The Orcâs form began to shatter, as if a punch had been thrown at a mirror and started to fragment it slowly. It then fully shattered, leaving nothing but a very fine sparkly dust of ice crystals that were falling.
Speaking of falling, that had knocked some of Kuroâs powers out as his wings suddenly retracted and he was left to plummet to the ground in a very weakened state. But not unconscious for once.
@iamtoodrunkforthis
Julian watches the orc flail in pain and in arrogance. The blood flying amongst everything- the trees pulling inward toward the orc. He heard the cracking and saw the trees breaking in the corner of his eyes. God- what kind of magic was this? He took a step back once the pinkish haired male came closer to his side.
Each scream and yell pierced his ears like a cannon going off right next to him. Could he feel blood in his ear drums? He wasnât sure- but he wouldn't be surprised if they bursted.
As the trees pulled farther in, and cracked more and more he felt a pain across his head. Did one of the tree trunks break enough to- yup. That was a peice of wood that just hit his head. He felt blood drip already down his forehead. He was going to hate himself later for this.
He could feel his own heart beat in his head, an african beat drumming, pumping blood into his head faster than he could think. His eyes were beginning to hurt from the mental rush.
He heard Kuroâs voice as if it was in a distance- yet he could understand it clearly. Julianâs eyes opened to glare to the orc as blue and white colors began to emerge in his blurry vision. As they finally focused- the damn thing was an ice statue. Poor thing got sent to his own arctic dream land.
Reality returned just as the idol began to fall from above. Julian without thinking reached his hands out for him and caught him in his arms. He almost tripped over himself when he caught him, but he did his best to stay up- and managed to do just that.
âUh- Hey- whoops.â He grunted, with one eye closed because of the blood. âNice job? I couldnât see any of that- but hey he seems dead to me.â

Kakyoin stumbles backwards, narrowly avoiding landing in a heap. Better off-balance than cleaved in half. (He doesnât know what would happen in that scenario, but he does know that he doesnât want to find out. At all.) He gives Kuro a âthanksâ as he readjusts. With Kuro pulling close to the orc, heâs nervous about pulling another emerald splash unless thereâs a large opening, too nervous about hitting his teammate in the wings and potentially puncturing itâ thereâs no idea how durable the other is. But Kakyoin can work around that, another plan already forming. Now, if he could be able to remove the axe from the situation, wouldnât that be niceâŚ.
Julian was forgotten until he spoke again, which honestly made Kakyoin feel a little guilty. Come on, the guy is immobile, someone has to keep an eye out for him. Just because thereâs potential death involved doesnât mean he can only concentrate on keeping himself alive. âBait isnât a role for anyone to play, understand? Help, but not like that.â Keep an eye out, make a plan, something. Just not⌠run facefirst into danger without a way to defend oneself.
Thatâs not helping, thatâs just stupid.
If Kuroâs keeping the orcâs attention upwards, then itâs a pretty good time to take planning to the ground level, right? The orcâs arms arenât up enough for Kakyoin to take a confident shot to its middle, but Hierophant is nothing if not adaptable. Kakyoin gestures at it and the stand vanishesâ sort of. Hierophant unspools itself, unwinding into strands that rapidly spread over the ground, about a foot above the grass. They spread like a spiderweb that winds around the orcâs legs and loop around its arms any time it happens to drop them down enough for Hierophant to cast a wire over them. While the arms arenât immobilized very well, its legs are, and walking should become pretty damn difficult (if even possible). The orc tries to take a step forward and succeeds only in barely nudging its foot, earning the affair a roar of annoyance. Good. If the axe lowers enough, Hierophant can grab that, too.
Kakyoin casts his attention to Julian. âHey. You canât see him, so Iâll warn youâ thereâs tripwire all around the ground here now. Donât get too close until I call it back or youâll end up falling on your ass, too.â Actually, thatâs debatable, since stands tend to be rather hit-or-miss if normal humans can walk right through them or not, but better safe than sorry. Itâll keep Julian from running forward if he frees himself, at least.
Kuro heard the pleas for help and Kakyoinâs warning of if he even tried the bait spiel he would be shit out of luck. That was a good thing. Ok, so Kuro could free the poor adult male tied to the tree. He shot another flurry of feathers at the orc and and went to have the feathers that pinned their doctor friend to the tree release him of their hold and drop him to the ground.
âYou heard him. Do not step forward and do not try and play the bait card. That will not bode well for any of us. Rest assured that when our peril is over, I shall tell you about what the name you insisted upon calling me means to my internal health. That is a promise I intend to not break.â
Kuro then went back up towards the orc to keep itâs attention on his attacks to see if Hierophant was able to actually take this thing out yet. As it stood for now, not even Kuroâs attempts were doing much good-
Until now. Heâd actually managed to nick the Orc better this time and went for a good swing with his sword. It followed through with a sickening sound of bone cracking and being sliced through. And what came next was not the color of blood that Kuro had ever seen, That might be the best time to get Hierophant to actually catch that axe now.
âIâm not sure if youâd listen to me, Hierophant Green⌠But catch that axe NOW!â
@iamtoodrunkforthis
Julian stumbled out of the trees grasps and stood to look at himself. He dusted his broad shoulders and looked to the two teammates.
âExcuse you I am the best at bait- if I had the guts I would take that thing to the ocean and drown the bastard.â He grunted.
âAlso- nice to know I even piss people off unintentionally too. How perfect.â
Julian sighed and rolled his shoulders- readjusting his thought to the world before reality hit him again. The orcs yell bursted in his ear drum- it was almost painful to listen to. But it jolted Julian back to here-and-now.
He was out of the tree- now what? He didnât have a weapon, which was one problem, and another is he didn't have any real ability to help from this distance. Magic wasnât an option, obviously because he didnât possess it.
He stared at his two âteammatesâ and then to the orc. The creature was huge and dominant. Kuro and Kakyoin seemed to have a pretty good handle without his help, maybe he could just sit and wait it off? He wasnât sure what else to do, he wasnât going to run away he had no use to now that the orc was in a corner...theoretically.
Julian stepped back a few steps, making sure he could just stay out of death's grasp- even though that thought was tempting. He watched things he didnât understand. Yelling words and things just suddenly making the orc step back like it had been a harsh hit. Julian knew not of any of this...he wish he did know.

observatiions:
@iamtoodrunkforthis
Sheâd pretty much used up her stamina without realizing it. Therefore she has collapsed. But what no one knew was that she was actually just running low on power as she hadnât slept in a week or so again. Yes, this was from her time before the island. She didnât really understand the concept of sleep. Or food. She had her formula⌠But if her mini computer ran out of energy, sheâd eventually run out of that as well.
But here she was, under a tree as if she was just sleeping.
Julian was mentally drained. That whole battle- that whole realization that things like that actually existed...who knew? He knew magic was a thing- of course, from his home town. He knew magic...well, from affar, he never studied it oh god no he knew nothing about it. But, seeing it in front of him, in use- in battle. It was so...strange. It boggled his mind.
He walked away from the team to catch air- catch his thoughts as they mixed together into one headache. He slammed down under the shade of a tree and turned his head when- was that a person?
He turned a little more- oh yeah that was in fact a unconsciously sleeping person under a tree. He almost sat on them. That would have been bad- extremely bad. His face flushed a little at the thought of how bad that would be. The thought quickly vanished when He noticed her more.
She was asleep, kinda cute when she was sleeping too- all people were really. Not that he had Somnophilia- no no he wasnât into that- at least...he didnât think so.
He smirked and laid down next to her with his body parallel to the woman- facing her.
âHello there cutie- whatâs your name? You from around here? Did you know that Orcs were a thing? Who kne~w?â
dreamravenidol:
abmetus:
They walked on, and Kakyoin was rather pleased to note that Hierophant wasnât wrong. This island system is much more complex than he assumed, if thereâs enough room for monsters to be running amok without any sort of indication in the city proper that such things were going on. It feels like heâs getting his genres mixed upâ from an everyday story to something like a fantasy game. Heâs good at fantasy games, at least. There is that. And itâs kind of difficult to be afraid of fucking something up so bad you die when thatâs a thing that already happened. So, Kakyoin can fight an orc. Big yelling ogre dude, no problem.Â
The only problem is that perhaps his teammates are not so steely when being yelled inarticulately at by a giant humanoid with massive tusks and an oversized battleaxe. Thatâs understandable, but not exactly helpful. A glance over his shoulder is spared for the ruckus Julian and Kuro are causing. For heavenâs sake. He sincerely hopes that this venture doesnât end with them at one anotherâs throats. Kakyoin sighs through his teeth, attention focused on the monster thatâs lumbering toward the intruders.
âHis nameâs Kuro, now shut up if youâre not going to contribute something useful.â Perhaps thatâs harsh, but itâs sincerely not the time for that. (Itâs also hardly the time for turning on oneâs own teamâ if he wants to run, how is that any more or less useful than being pinned to a tree? May as well relegate those without willpower to the sidelines now. Speaking of will and its various formsâ Hierophant Green straightens up, hands clasped together before it spreads palms to reveal an array of green crystals hovering before it. Kakyoin smiles grimly. This is something more like his element. âLetâs see how emerald splash works out here, hm?â
A gesture from his stand and the emeralds created are launched at the orc, most hitting the target with a satisfying thwack. Not all are impactful damage, howeverâ only a few create a bleeding wound. Even though it likely couldnât have seen the stand or its attack, it looks like the orc is thick-skinned enough to present a problem; namely that it will take a lot of bashing to cause any damage to it. Or maybe, Kakyoin thinks, just a more high-powered impact, narrowed down to a point of focus rather than a spray. âWeâll go again,â he tells Hierophant, how readies itself.
But by now, thereâs a bigger problem: the orc has closed the gap between it and the team, and it isnât happy at all. The axe raises up and, as Kakyoin skitters backwards, descends towards the ragtag group!
â> @dreamravenidolâ
That caused Kuro to ignore Julian for the moment and grab Noriyaki to move him back farther. Of course⌠This stupid Orc was causing him to kind of get angry. That axe going towards someone he sincerely cared about was not going to happen. Before he decidedly got himself in a complete snit, he made his sword appear. After letting loose a flurry of feather shot at the Orc, he went in to take a good swing at the beast.
Probably not the best idea, but at least he was buying time before Absolute Zero just kicked in. Which he was hoping he could save for the last minute. This Orc was a nightmare though. Were they sure it was an Orc and not a god forsaken ogre?!  No way this was an orc. Except⌠It was too intelligent to be- Wait.
Was it really intelligent? Kuro had an idea. He figured that thing couldnât keep up with a moving target so he decided to see if that thing could hit him at all if he used feather shot and started flying around more than usual. Changing that flight pattern would be a good idea as well. If he kept it sporadic, then maybe, just maybe, the creature would be distracted enough for his good friend and his Stand to actually get a decent shot in. Hey, if a shot went rogue, he could use his wings as a shield. That was more than enough to get this beast down he hoped.
@iamtoodrunkforthisâ
Julian felt his spine quiver to the sight of it moving closer and closer- there was hardly any distance between the other two and the gigantic beast. This- this was insane. That axe almost hit the guy. Jesus- no no. He canât watch another person die, heâs seen enough bloody death...though they seemed to have a handle on it. Did he even need to be there?
He grunted as he tried to lift his arm. Nope, nothing happening. Maybe his legs? His hips- his chest? No, still- he was stuck like a painting to the wall. He was stuck here...to a tree.. A worthless human stuck to a fucking tree. He was an annoyance wasnât he? a waste of air per usual...damn he wanted to help. He wanted to be useful.
âLook sorry An- ...achem, Kuro. I wonât call you that again. But look can I help!? I can distract him, enough for you both to use your...magical, whatever- to kill this thing!! I wonât run! I swear! Just- Let me help!â
He pleaded loud enough for them to hear. He was crying out. He was known for taking risks and known for facing the worst. Escaping pirate ships, being convicted of murder that he couldnât even remember doing. He was a lot of things, things that could...do something here.
He didnât understand what was happening- with orcs and magical things he only saw glances of from Asra- oh god Asra. Even if he didn't understand, he would rather die trying then be strapped to a fucking tree.

>> QUEST 01 : ROLL FOR INITIATIVE! GROUP 3 VERSUS A MONSTER!
A weird quest to go on, Kakyoin thinks, but it certainly does fit the title of âquestâ in all the stereotypical ways. A ragtag band of heroes goes out to fight a troll. Or orc. Whatever. (He does know the difference, he just doesnât really want to point it out to himself.) He isnât positive on the full scope of Kuroâs powers, but the gist of it seems to be that heâs close- to mid-range power type, and that combined with Hierophantâs versatile range abilities leaves Kakyoin rather confident that if a monster needs killing, theyâre a decent group to do so.
(Julian has no abilities to help, but that doesnât worry Kakyoin. So long as the guy stays back out of trouble, itâs fine for him to just be⌠moral support or something.)
The problem is that the guy who gave them the quest only gave a vague sort of direction as to where theyâre supposed to find said âproblem orcâ. Over there, out towards the farmlands⌠sure. Thatâs specific.
Kakyoin walks with Hierophant Green out and ready, the stand trailing some meters above the party. It functions as a guard, advance warning should it see anything to worry about. Its base coils around his shoulders like a gently glowing green scarf that only he and Kuro could see. (Heâd figured out Julian couldnât see stands, which is less surprising than otherwise given that he seems to be a rather average individual. Itâs not too disappointing.)
They trudge along until the end of Hierophantâs tentacle thwacks Kakyoin in the side of the head as a âstopâ message. The stand descends, coalescing back into fully humanoid shape and mumbling something only Kakyoin can hear. He nods.
âThereâs something about fifty meters that way.â He points northeast, where flat grasses slowly started giving way to larger brush and the occasional tree. âAn opening in scrub and something large and moving Hierophant could see between the trees.â
At least his stand didnât suffer from the same shit vision Kakyoin had been gifted. Thatâs a plus. âIâll send him back up to watch, but letâs go there and keep an eye out.â
Kuro had taken to letting Kakyoin lead the party as Kuro wanted to keep an eye on the good doctor. If thatâs even what he was. Kuro just didnât even really like the guy and he already said he was useless. So Kuro got a rather interesting idea. He grabbed Julian, unfurled his wings, and then used his feathers to pin the guy to the nearest tree.
âSorry. This is for your own good. We donât need you being bait or having an early death on our hands. Kakyoin and I have this handled. We may need you in case one of us goes down fighting. And that means injured, not death. Got me? And Iâll tell you again. Act like my name is Angel, and we see how long you last alright?â
He went back to his pal and his Stand. Just watching Hierophant Green do his job was still kind of cool. Kinda like having one of those spirit type monsters near you. Only better because what was it Kakyoin said? Something about the physical manifestation of your soul? Yeah that. That actually sounded interesting, though Kuro wasnât planning on ever having something like that. He would be just a little afraid of what might come of it.
âAh, sorry about that. You heard what he said back at the beach. Iâm not trusting him to not get himself killed. Less casualties the better right? Besides⌠Heâs got no real power and for all we know, he sucks at using a weapon.â
@iamtoodrunkforthis
Ah, the Kakyoin guy was onto something it seems. He had to say, out of the many places he had been too he never actually had someone suspect that a huge man was an orc. I mean, yeah there were some pretty tall and absolutely not-the-most natural beauty type of members of society that looked like orcs from afar but sincerely. Who actually believes in orcs?
...Apparently he is a new believer once they found the source of the ruckus. Julian stood still- no it wasnât in the warriors stance nor in battle prep. Pure fear is what it was. Frozen in a single stance staring at this huge monstrosity before him.
He was preparing to run the hell out of there when the wings he had seen once before pinned him against the oak of a tree. He hit the tree with an oof and blushed red as he looked in Kuroâs direction.
âWhat the hell!?! Come on I can- help- I totally wasnât going to run away- Come on!!â He huffed, feeling his back numb up from the hard slam.
âSorry- fine! I won't call you that if you give me something else to call you- ngh- and I can be useful mind you!â
Did he though? That was the question. He was just about to run out of sheer panic a second ago...did he have anything to offer? Other than his, stupid curse- What a stupid curse it was. Idiotic, useless. A pain in the ass one could say.

Kuro groaned. Oh no. It really was the same guy. How could he explain being called angel to Kakyoin when heâd already told him that he hated Angel? Not only that, but dammit⌠He had a real name! Why was it this guy? Couldnât it have been the magic musician? And what a shame, or maybe it was luck that it couldnât be Reiji.Â
Everything about being called Angel just made him really upset, right to the core. However⌠Kakyoin was there and heâd already said he didnât really get that mad, so he took a good deep breath and calmed himself.
Until he heard that the other was completely useless. No, no. Mustnât let that upset the boy either. So instead what did he do?
âWell that makes sense. I mean I did end up finding you in an alleyway looking for a bar of all things.â
@abmetus
Kuro doesnât seem very excited to see this guyâŚ. Kakyoin will wait to make a judgement call, however, especially if theyâre going to be stuck together. give him the benefit of the doubt.
And as far as being stuck together goes, it seems that itâs⌠maybe for the best that this guy has someone to look out for him. A doctor could be useful, maybe, depending on what situations they get into and what kind of offhand knowledge the guy has. But Kakyoin will be happy just knowing that Julian isnât dead in a ditch, which is a concern he didnât know he should have until about ten seconds ago.
Julian seems uncertain (awkward? mollified?) when he shakes Kakyoinâs hand, which leads the student to suspect that Julian also isnât really one for socializing. Join the club, buddy, but at least Kakyoinâs good at faking it. âDonât sell yourself short, alright? And I donât⌠I donât think finding a bar is going to be likely here. You did know it was a deserted island, yes?â This is going to be grand. Note sarcasm.
(He doesnât like the role of team babysitter. Briefly, he wishes Abdul were around to take that duty off his hands. Fuck, he misses his old friends. Letâs compartmentalize and shove that thought away to the deep depths of never-to-be-touched-again before it makes him sad. Kakyoin pinches the bridge of his nose with a sigh.)
âOkay. Whatever. Standing around the shoreline isnât going to be useful to anyone, so letâs⌠head somewhere, at least.â
-> @iamtoodrunkforthisâ
He could feel the judgmental gazes penetrating his skin, it made him shiver a little. He let it fall off his back like water on a ducks back. His smirk returned once more.
âI like my salty bitters.â
He takes his hand to himself after finishing the sarcastic reply.
âAnd yes I know where I am- I am actually not looking for alcohol. Adventure and risky matures are my thrill~â he purrs.
Julian smiles as his reply was smooth, per usual- he always had a smooth tongue. At least when it came to simple conversation.Â
His head clicks back into their delma. now they were on the beach with quests and many other things to figure out..yeah, seems like the touch guys knows what he is doing. Might as well follow his lead.
âRight. Off the shore. sounds like a plan.â

They had all gotten off the ship to explore. Kuro had wanted to go with Reiji, but the guy had been a bit busy being bugged by his other friend. Hey, that was his friend from Quartet Night right? Best to leave them be. So, he went to his first friend and had asked him. The guy was happy to go since they had just gotten around to actually mutually trusting each other which was great news. Kuro loved being around anyone that didnât hate his guts.
But when they all got separated and the ship had vanished, Kuro noticed that there was someone else that was sticking by them. Was that the guy who had been looking for a bar recently? Oh great. Well, if he was last man standing, Kuro wold have no problem protecting him along with Noriaki. Besides, if the guy tried anything funny, heâd be able to take him out. The guy was, for lack of better words, too drunk for his own good.
âNow what do we do?â
Exploring a deserted island had sounded sincerely interestingâ but in retrospect, Kakyoin should have realized that with his luck, any and all attempts at traveling were probably cursed. For heavenâs sake, heâs not even with the Joestar family any more and yet their ill luck with any mode of transportation continues to haunt him.
He feels, in the grumbly part of his mind, that he should have expected this. At least heâs not completely up the metaphorical creek without a paddleâ rather than having nothing with him, he has at least day trip supplies. Thereâs probably something he can do with thatâŚ. Lost in his own planning, Kakyoin only belatedly registers Kuro speaking to him.
He looks up at the question, which is also when he realizes that the morose-looking guy that had been hanging about is milling around them with a sense of purpose nowâ seems like he wants to join their duo. Fine by Kakyoin, three heads are better than two.
âFor now? I donât know about you, but my phone isnât working, so if contacting mainland isnât an option Iâd say the probable best thing is finding somewhere to have a base of sorts. Iâm really hoping this isnât going to turn into some Lord of the Flies-type bullshit, but Iâm not sure how optimistic I want to be on that.â Who knows how long theyâll be stuck here, and some of the people on the boat seemed pretty shady (that doctor guy he saw must be out here, too, and that fact alone is enough to make Kakyoin wary).
His attention goes directly to the third guy, someone he hasnât met yet. A nod of acknowledgement, a hand extended if the other would like to take it.
âIâm Noriaki Kakyoin, I donât believe weâve met. Do you have any sort of plans?â
-> @iamtoodrunkforthis
Julian walked around aimlessly to explore the shady island he was told about. It reminded him of home- in a bad way. an Island that constantly reminded him of his failures has now figuratively followed him to his new home. How ironic, indeed. A doctor having to reflect on his mistakes until death took him off the bloody earth.
He tried to find someone notable he recognized. He remembers talking to a few people among Koi, their had to be someone who also adventured out here that he knew.
He knew it- there was someone. That boy he met in the alley, how grand. Somewhere to start.Â
âHello, Angel~ glad to meet you again~!â He smirked, lifting his eyebrow to amplify the smirk off his glowing- more like pale- face.
They both travel along the shore till they came across someone else that the other male of the duo recognized. Julian never met this man in his life, guess itâs a new opportunity to spread his wings lose, learn a little more than what he would normally learn...about other people.
He laughed along with the unknown members reply- were they a group now? He supposed so, since everyone was seeming very friendly to each other. Julian wasnât used to working together as say a normal person would, but he enjoyed the thought. His sister back home always pulled at his guilt strings when he tried to do something by himself. Might as well make her words take effect now and do what he needs to do to win.
He noticed the hand stretched to him, making him a little flustered being that...well, he hasnât shook hands with anyone almost before his doctor profession took hold. He took the hand, with a red cheek emerging.
âAh, nice to meet you Noriaki. Iâm Julian Devorak and no.â He smirked with no shame.
 âI have no idea what Iâm doing, whatsoever. You could say Iâm a hindrance!â
ASK MY MUSES ABOUT THINGS THEY DID IN CANON
ask if they regretted something or wanted to do something else, ask what they were thinking when they did something, ask what they think of another canon character. ask.

Julian flipped the foreign change onto the counter as he took the few bit of fruit that he bought with him. He wasnât that hungry, honestly he would rather drink himself full than eat but he did need the subsidence. He was getting superbly drowsy and that was a no-no if he wanted to keep up his lifestyle.
He began biting into the mango, letting a bit of the mango juice slip down his cheek without a care. The red-headed male stepped his way forward toward his apartment building when the sudden jolt of another body slamming against him made him jump. He quickly grabbed for the poor girl before she fell. She was so...small. Compared to the size of Julian which was a monster height to most.Â
His hand gripped onto her shoulder first with a firm hold and then softly once he realized it was a person.
âWoah, Im sorry- I didnât see you..âÂ
dreamravenidol:
Kuro was on patrol for the city when he saw a guy who seemed to be skulking around the alleyways. Kuro decided to activate his wings- A rare thing for the immortal to be honest. But he had no other choice.
âexcuse me. I donât think you belong in these alleys unless⌠Youâre up to something.â
He heard the voice of another behind him and turned around. Was there an angel before him? Did he die- thank the heavens- though seriously what was he seeing right now.
âIâm always up to something, how about you angel? you here to finally get me out of this hellish world?â His eyes squint âOr here to remind me how horrible it is? Honestly both are probably a thrill.â

He wasnât one to keep his sarcasm in check after a few bitters at the bar. He was bound to get himself killed one of the days from either getting decks so hard he explodes internally or from over drinking. One of the two, for sure.Â
âWhat are you going to do, hit me~?â He flirted with fate- which in this case was a drunk man who got a little too offended by his choice of words. And there it goes, a full set of knuckles hitting him right in the jaw line. Julian got hammered back into another customer, a man with a braid flowing all the way down his side.Â
âAh, sorry hun.â He replied pushing himself off, holding a hand on his jaw. Damn, that hurt like a bitch.

Ah- the market. It reminded him of home, sweet spices being sold at one counter and then furs and silks at another- all yelling for the next customer. This market wasnât..exactly like that, no one was out on the street really selling anything it was all indoors. Which, wasnât such a bad thought- nothing could get ruined if bad weather came their way, but sad for the customers since deals couldnât be made easily.Â
He stepped into a store for the curiosity, a clothing store. Filled to the brim with modern fashion for any gender you could think of. Thank god he wasnât wearing the jacket today- it probably would have been bumping into everything if he had. Though, it was slightly cold inside, so maybe the jacket would have been wise. especially since the top two buttons of his shirt were broken off and he is left with an open chest for probably eternity now.
As he scanned the store, he saw someone else- someone more invested in the...more expensive section of the establishment. He would look over there as well- everything looks so flashy and eye catching. Then again- with how he looks, a depressed man who canât keep his depressed head out of his ass most of the time, it might be best to not get too close.
He looks in the section next to it, they were...what are these called? Ah, the tag says cardigans. Guess thatâs what they are. How...flowing.

Julian liked to sneak around new places. Places he had never been before and such- but mostly...well he did like trouble after all. His middle name- his purpose in life. Trouble~! Now where to begin?Â
His first mission- a pub. He still had pirate money he stored in his coat pocket he could use for a good amount of pints. He was aching for that buzzing sensation- oh god he needed it right now. What better place then a shitty pub with dim lighting and rowdy customers? Anything to keep his mind numb would be fine.
