But yes let’s ignore the "I know Deaton has been like a father to you" line that Stiles said to Scott because you don’t like it therefore it can’t be canon. Also Derek was a shady fuck who Deaton thought was the Alpha and had killed Laura, he had no idea who Derek was. So know why would he tell an suspected murderer? Someone suspected of going around murdering people? Using canon based facts isn’t putting Deaton on a pedestal, get over it that he doesn’t have to help the person who tortured him to be a good person.

I get so pissed at people who stan for Deaton or write him as this wise advisor type. He says in S1 that he promised Talia to look after the remaining Hales but he clearly didn’t visit Peter or help Laura or Derek. He knows what Derek’s been through & he comes up with a plan for Scott to manipulate & use Derek to their own ends. & even when Deaton’s “helping” Scott, he won’t give any actual answers, resulting in more people dead because he had to be “mysterious”. Seriously fuck Deaton.
