I block liberally for a variety of reasons, all the way from bigotry to annoyances to regularly posting Harry Potter bullshit. I have a zero tolerance policy. If you put Queen FART-face's media on my dash, knowingly and willingly, I will block you.
I try to keep up on politics and how to best respect people whose experiences I'm unfamiliar with, but I definitely still have blind spots due to a variety of factors. Please point them out to me if and when you see them, and I'll do my best to verify and solve the issue.
I do my best to add alt text / IDs when I'm able to, but I don't always have the energy/wherewithal. If you reblog a post of mine adding stuff like this, I will be forever grateful.
Similarly, I do my best to add content warnings for both common triggers and things that I've been told are triggers for people close to me - that said, sometimes I either don't have the energy or I'm just straight-up so taken aback by the horrors of the original post that I can't figure out what to tag it with. If you want to add a content warning, go ahead - but if you're an ass about slur reclamation I won't hesitate to block you.
I will also do my best to add tags to indicate adult content; however, I am very likely to forget or be unsure what to add. I recognize that people below the age of 18 are fully capable of finding and enjoying the kind of content that sends conservatives and puritans into a moral panic and me telling them to stay away does nothing. As such, I'll be saying this instead.
I can't tell you what to do. Experiencing arousal/attraction/desire is perfectly reasonable, especially by the time you're legally old enough to be on tumblr. However, I will advise you to stay safe while online in any of these spaces. Don't start talking to folks in them, especially if they're adults.
I will also ask that you not talk to me on posts like that, for both your safety and mine. If you are a minor or do not specify that you're an adult and you start talking about this stuff with me, I will have to block you. Don't make me do that.

Is there another social media website that lets harassment campaigns just run off so many users like Tumblr does? It's extremely "I think you're just feeding cats to coyotes" as of late but staff is doing it on purpose at this point.
Like they've defended the bans of trans women under their 'any reason or no reason at all' catch-all but they refuse to do anything about harassers that very much are violating real TOS rules. what i want to do is obsess over my fanfic and the source material. what i want to do is weave in the loose ends of canon and tug on unexplored plot threads until i end up with a tapestry of epic proportions that is entirely about these sad gay goofballs in a tiny little village by the sea.
what i want to do is be intentional with the canon i do change because there is so much of it that i adore. i would hate to carelessly throw all of these babies out with this bath water. if I'm going to throw any babies out I want it to be on purpose.
