My partner and I cancelled our Adobe accounts today because of this. Imagine if makers of physical art media had the right to pilfer your sketchbooks because you used their pencils and paints. That’s basically what Adobe is trying to foist on everyone.
Just to add more information (copy-pasted from /u/habitual_viking for readability):
This pissed me off like many others, so I wanted to cancel my subscription.
You cannot access your account without agreeing - there's simply **NO** way of rejecting the terms and accessing your subscription page to cancel
Getting hold of an agent required something like 15 minutes of frustrating loops with their chat bot, where the same question was asked multiple times and same (invalid) solution provided multiple times
Got hold of an agent, they kept claiming that there's no way of terminating or opting out of your subscription, without paying a ~~fine~~ fee to adobe
Kept asking to be escalated to someone who understood the concept of contracts, changing terms and consumer rights, Agent first tried to give me 3 months free, then repeatedly tried to explain that I agreed to the terms when signing up several years ago
Finally got hold of a supervisor, within 30 seconds she could cancel the subscription with no refund for current billed, I challenged the last part and she immediately refunded 3 months worth of subscription
So if you can live with the open source alternatives (or any alternative) to Adobe, keep insisting on them cancelling and refund your currently billed period! And for the love of god, do **not** agree to the terms to access you account, it's a trap!

Oh and when you try to uninstall, you are going to need to log in, which again required accepting the terms. DO NOT ACCEPT! There's a tool provided by adobe here:

Just follow the instructions and you can select complete removal of adobe programs without having to sign over your rights.

Desculpem invadir a tag e atrapalhar a diversão de vocês, eu também estou sendo atrapalhado, assim como os players do grupo que estão numa dinâmica importante pro plot nesse momento, mas é porque tem uma coisa muito chata acontecendo que são rpgs e pesquisas da tag colocando o famoso "copia, mas não faz igual" com o tipo mais variado de coisa desse rpg e já passou da hora de falar sobre isso.
Esse rpg está na estrada desde janeiro de 2024 e a gente tem um plot, uma estrutura e um jeito muito peculiar de fazer as nossas coisinhas aqui. É bacana de ver outros grupos gostarem da nossa proposta, mas é chato pra caramba tanto pra moderação quanto pros nossos players que estão há 5 meses se "matando" de todas as formas pra desvendar o plot entrar na tag br e ver gente de fora estudando a nossa central, até entrando no nosso grupo pra fazer engenharia reversa e emular as coisas que fazemos no nosso, só porque não somos players populares ou que fazem parte de panelas, como se isso desse o direito de invadir o nosso espaço e pegar o que quiser pra tentar replicar no seu.
Nosso grupo foi criado exatamente porque todos nós estamos cansados desse tipo de comportamento tóxico que a tag br insiste em reproduzir por anos a fio. Nosso grupo de player é composto pelo o que chamamos de "lobos solitários", que é basicamente pessoas que estão na tag há algum tempo e que não fazem parte de nenhum tipo de panela, mas que estão cansadas dessa falta de respeito com o esforço alheio e da falta do senso de comunidade que se tornou a tag rp br e a krp br. Então é irritante não só pra mim como moderação, que gasto meu tempo livre pensando em coisas pra deixar a experiência divertida pra todo mundo, quanto pras pessoas que fazem parte desse grupo e que estão realmente empenhadas em jogar, ao ponto de termos virado um grupo de amigos que se dão suporte mutuamente. É frustrante ver que estamos mais uma vez sendo desrespeitados e vendo não só o plot, ou a estrutura do rpg ou dinâmicas, mas também ver réplicas dos nossos personagens espalhados por outros grupos das duas tags, porque não somos populares ou parte dessa ou daquela panela.
De novo, nós somos pessoas que não fazem parte do seu circulo de amizade ou da sua tchurminha, que isso te dá o direito de invadir o nosso espaço e tentar replicar coisas que estamos fazendo aqui no seu rpg. Só porque você acha que internet é terra sem lei, isso não te dá o direito de você desrespeitar outra pessoa tentando replicar o que ela está fazendo. Não custava nada ter chegado aqui na central e perguntado "Mod Chronos, a gente quer fazer um rpg parecido, tem problema?", porque eu falo desde o primeiro dia pros players daqui, o TBT não é fácil e que não é pra qualquer pessoa. Porque a premissa do jogo é justamente essa, é sobre até onde seu personagem e você como player está disposto a ir pra proteger seus interesses, e é muito bom ter encontrado gente que tá disposta a arriscar o bem estar do personagem e a passar raiva por causa de um joguinho, eu entendo de verdade que você queira fazer uma versão mais "calma" do plot e mais focada em outras coisas mais simples, mas é impossível não ficar com raiva de ver algo que botamos um esforço danado pra chegar algumas pessoas e acharem que podem reproduzir isso.
Para encerrar, gostaria de avisar seguindo orientações legais, tudo o que é postado nesse blog desde o primeiro dia é registrado no Creative Commons. Desde o plot, passando pelas as dinâmicas, tasks e estrutura. O Plot, a estrutura e os NPCs, são registrados no INPE também. Até o presente momento não se fez necessário acionar a justiça, mas caso persistam, as medidas legais serão tomada tanto no Brasil quanto nos Estados Unidos, já que a moderação do grupo possui dupla cidadania e o Tumblr.com é juridicamente domiciliado no país em questão.
Desde que entrei na tag, sempre presenciei dois fenômenos opostos e igualmente conectados: os pedidos por tramas inovadoras e diferentes, ao mesmo passo que, quando comunidades assim apareciam, eram deixadas as moscas ou refeitas de tantos formas que chegavam à saturação. Quando eu, Eden, entrei na TBTHQS foi justamente por ter uma proposta única para a tag br, com uma trama envolvente e que parecia perfeita para desenvolver bons enredos. E é isso que aconteceu, foi um rp que desde o primeiro dia trouxe um senso de comunidade muito forte que não se encontra em lugar algum, com espaço para liberdade criativa e diversão. Semana após semana, somos impactados com novas dinâmicas, reviravoltas e novos enredos, de forma que as ações de cada personagem impactavam profundamente o andamento da trama (e não de uma forma superficial).
O problema é que é muito triste ver como a tag tem tratado todos os esforços da moderação em criar um projeto desses; ao invés de engajar, apenas pegam abertamente a ideia e usam em seu próprio nome. Veja bem: ninguém é obrigado a entrar em rp nenhum, eu sou a primeira defensora de que rp é passatempo acima de tudo. Porém, como todos somos adultos aqui, eu esperava que agissem como tal. Várias vezes vi muita gente indo na ask de pesquisa x, y e z falar sobre como algo estava muito parecido com outra comunidade ou pesquisa, mas agora está tudo bem fazer algo extremamente parecido, beirando a cópia? Acredito que precisamos ter respeito pelas moderações e seus players enquanto estão ativas, só quem já moderou sabe o trabalho que é fazer as coisas e principalmente quando a proposta inicial é criar um ambiente diferenciado.
Como vocês podem ler acima, num texto muito bem traçado, nesse ponto da história todos nós envolvidos somos agentes ativos e ver que nossos esforços diários (que envolvem interações investigativas, povs, planilhas, pesquisa e tudo mais que vocês possam imaginar) serem tratados como pura fonte é muito triste. Nós falamos regularmente como é incrível ver a forma que o Jay se esforça não só por um enredo interessante, mas também para fazer com que tudo o que fazemos seja usado de alguma forma e em alguma momento. Imagina como é frustrante ver frankesteins disso por ai? Inspiração está ai para qualquer um, mas as ações repetidas da tag são profundamente irritantes e só demonstram a quantidade de pessoas imaturas e egocêntricas que estão por ai.
Se quiserem jogar algo nesses padrões, entre no TBTHQS porque copiar as dinâmicas que criamos na comunidade é impossível.

Do you have a lot of players in your roleplaying community? That's awesome! However, when it's time to check their activity, searching blog for blog, it must be kinda overwhelming. I know, I've been there, and some of my friends are currently there. They have a Google Sheet file that they all collaborate and use as a control of all the active blogs and the faceclaims reservations they might have. They asked me to code them a solution that could help them fastly check the activity of all the blogs simultaneously.
In THIS LINK or in the source you'll find my code in Python that helps you automatically check the activities of all the blogs you have control in your Google Sheets file. The process is kinda boring, and you still must keep updating your Google Sheets, but hey. Maybe it's better to make a small update to a list whenever a blog joins in than it is to manually check all blogs every week.

config.json: this is where you'll adapt the code with the names for your Google Sheet file and your column names.

Tumblr Activity Verifier: the Python code that does all the magic.
You must download all of those three and put them in the same folder for the to function, together with the Tumblr API key JSON and the Google Sheets authentication JSON.

This was made with Python 3.11.0. You can download it here.
The libraries I used are: gspread, json, pandas, oauth2client, requests. After installing Python, you can install them by typing pip install <library name> in your console. To open your console, type cmd in your Windows search bar.
You must have a Tumblr account and a Tumblr API key. You can get one here. When I registered my application I put the following information:
Application Name: Tumblr Activity Verifier
Application Website: <your Google Sheet link>
Application Description: My application will use the Tumblr API check the activity of the blogs in my roleplaying community.
Default Callback URL: https://<your roleplay blog handle>.tumblr.com
OAuth2 redirect URLs: https://<your roleplay blog handle>.tumblr.com
Create a JSON file named tumblr_secret.json and put your API key there. Your JSON must contain: { "api_key": `<your api key>` }
You must have a Google account and a Google API key. I followed this tutorial. You must only look at the three first topics: Authentication, Enable API Access for a Project and For Bots: Using Service Account.
Create a Google Sheet and share it with your Google API email. This code uses a sheet which is located in the default Google Drive folder.
Download your google credential file and put it in the same directory as this script. Rename it to tumblr-api-checker.json. The credential will look like this:
Your Google Sheet must have the following columns for this to work:
IC (string): the URL handle of all the blogs you want to check;
OOC (string): the URL handle of all the players you may want to contact;
Reservation (datetime dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:ss): date and time of current reservations;
Acceptance (datetime dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:ss): date and time of the blog acceptance within the community.
If your Google Sheet have different names, that is OK. You just need to change them in the config.json file.
The config.json file must look like this:

You may have more columns on your sheet, but these are the ones that will be used. You may rename them for anything you want, but you must change the code accordingly.
Run the script. If you're using Windows, you can double click the main.py file. Other option it is to run it in your console by typing python main.py in the same folder that you downloaded the file. You can assure it's in the same folder if you click on the folder with the right mouse button and click on Open in Terminal.
The code will return:
If there are any outdated reservations;
The blogs that were recently accepted and therefore not considered for the Acitivity Check;
A warning if there are any blogs that posted exactly the number of posts or one more than the minimum number of interactions. They may be worth checking manually since they could be posting just a starter call, and therefore not elegible for the Activity Check.
My final considerations
This only works in PC, in Windows and Linux. I don't know if it works in Mac, but it's supposed to.
This only works for blogs that are not dashboard only, since the Tumblr API considers them private blogs. However, the code alerts you at the end for any blogs you may need to check manually.
The code does not consider asks. It only considers posts and reblogs that the players do with the following list. This is a possibility for the future.
Yes, I know it's complicated the Google Drive interaction. I did it because it is where my friends update their control sheet (and also wanted to learn how to do it). I may do a version that only uses the Tumblr API in the future, or with a .CSV or .XLSX local file.
