Does anyone else sometimes get shocked when their mental health symptoms go up but you have been consistently taking your meds?

Because I’m schizophrenic bipolar , recently diagnosed, and today my hallucinations have just been wild. As in for the first time in months I woke up to voices talking to me and have been seeing stuff more than usual today. But I took my meds bright and early so idfk what’s going on anymore.
