OOC: ANNOUNCEMENT

The antics of Captain Luis and the Nebula Prowler as a whole are actually part of a very large fic I have been writing for the last 3 months!

It is called “Wild Apples” and doesn’t even follow Luis! (Luis and the Nebula Prowler don’t even appear until 8 chapters in)

It follows the antics of Allen Frazier, his roommate Jared Waterloo, and the friends and foes they make along the way.

First two chapters are written! I will release it on AO3 once finished, but whoever reads this is considered a test reader and can leave comments here or on the doc in case I have broken any rules!

I’m doing pretty good. I think I’m past the halfway point of my Haustoric Implant process, and so I’m getting pretty close to how I look in my profile picture! Life has been doing pretty well, I love my sweet treat sibling and my owner, blahblahblah you get it.

I’m also aware of the amount of catgirls here. I think it’s probably because of underlying trauma in a lot of us from our lives before, and a common sense of comfort comes from cats. For me personally I’ve always felt a kinship with cats anyways. In the sense of how my brain feels, like, oriented to be that way. Hard to put it in words. I believe old pre-Accord term was “Therian”?

I’d like to know about the possibility of acquiring some oranges, maybe for tasting but also for implementing their flavor into my sweet treat sibling’s ice cream parlour!

The issue is that, to my knowledge, you are on a separate ship from us (we are aboard the Zealand). I know you have clarified that you can go any distance to give your oranges to sophonts, but I believe the task may take too much of your time and energy that will likely go to waste if the task only amounts to. Well. Oranges. Yes I’m working on my confidence, but I feel it to be reasonable if you are just plain unable to do that (which please tell! Don’t beat around the bush).

You know, affini space travel is very effective. Arranging a meeting wouldn't be too complicated. Alas, looking up your ship designation shows me that it's quite a ways from the Anthesis' current location, as we had to divert to rescue a sophont already.

I believe that our ships should cross paths to allow such a meeting in the near future, however.

What I could do in the meantime is send a virtual Stem sample of my fruits so that your owner may graft one of them for the purpose of trying them out ::3 I believe this should hold you off until I get to hand you one myself.

Let me know how this sounds to you~

ps. You should be warned my fruits contain a substance akin to the nepeta cataria, which you would know as catnip. This is inert in most sophont but it seems you might be predisposed to feel those effects for yourself. Figure you should know! Sinenesis Cataria, Third Bloom 𖧧

The Emergency ambulance and Ice Cream Ship is a 2-story, 10 bedroom, 11 bath, 3 medical room, 4 kitchen, 3 dining room shuttle, small by Affini standards but serviceable for a single Affini and her Florets. While her kitty is recovering, Capsica has the shuttle modified with Hazel sized cat paths and cat trees so she can get from room to room in an elevated position. The compilers and engines are refilled with fuel, and all supplies restocked for a field trip.

The Stasis Freezer of course has the cultural standard 47 Flavors in 10 gallon tubs, as well as all the protein snacks kitties love like fish sticks and chicken nuggies.

The Emergency ambulance and Ice Cream Ship is a 2-story, 10 bedroom, 11 bath, 3 medical room, 4 kitchen, 3 dining room shuttle, small by Affini standards but serviceable for a single Affini and her Florets. While her kitty is recovering, Capsica has the shuttle modified with Hazel sized cat paths and cat trees so she can get from room to room in an elevated position. The compilers and engines are refilled with fuel, and all supplies restocked for a field trip.
