Like Kai and Nya's village knew their parents, so it makes sense to them that Nya learns how to swim before she learns how to walk, and that Kai is so interested in blacksmithing and how they have to keep him away from candles. Lou putting up with Cole digging holes in the backyard and coming in covered in mud. Julien thinking Zane is just being all roboty when he wants to sit outside during a snowstorm, or want the air conditioning to be on. Even Lloyd being drawn to brighter lit areas at Darkleys.

Meanwhile, Ed and Edna have NO idea why their baby keeps wanting to electrocute himself, how he keeps undoing the safety measures they put on the plugs, why he keeps sticking wires in his mouth, and why he gives them a static shock every other time they pick him up

What are some of Zane and Pixal’s character flaws?

They seem to just be perfect

But I need to know for a fic I’m writing.

Anyway, let's get into it.

Pixal sucks at effective communication. With all the time she spent in Zane's head, instead of expressing her desire to get out and have her own body, she just left without telling anyone. After becoming samurai x, the team seems continually surprised at all the stuff she makes, and how quickly, meaning she isn't communicating with them about any of that stuff. The crystalized joke about contacting borg suggests the team doesn't really understand the relationship between her an her father. She's just bad at getting across important information. She's in her own self sufficient bubble, and doesn't think to tell people "Hey, I made an army of robots in the basement"

Additionally she has a dangerously low sense of self worth. When we get to a point in the show where she's litteraly seeking permission from her teammates to exist, that's a problem. She very much sees herself as a disposable asset meant to serve the team.

Zane has a history of repressing important emotions and traumatic events. He obviously does this in crystalized, but also we never really see him processing his time in the never realm or getting used as a human battery. You could read his massive detective/pirate content downloads as a coping mechanism to distract himself from that stuff. This can probably lead to him not taking things seriously that need to be taken seriously.

I also wanna say he's fairly gullible. Like, he always sees the best in people, which makes it easy for someone like vex to decive him.

Of course, you can also tack on his self sacrificial tendencies if you want to here.

Zane takes a nasty blow in a fight and Jay has to act as his battery by sticking his hand in his chest because for some reason it would be bad if he shut down. Homies is it gay to literally hold your best friends heart and single-handedly keep it beating, your very touch a lifeline he clings to

I may be admittedly a teensy bit disappointed that we never got to see Zane's reaction to the Overlord's return, but I'd like to imagine it went a little something like this

Lloyd: hey, I know it sucks that the Overlord came back, and I'm sure you're handling the news just about as well as I am, but you're not alone in this. I know from experience just how much it hurts to see him come back in spite of all your efforts to destroy him. And considering you died to defeat him...I understand this must be very hard for you to deal with. Just know that I understand your pain, and if you ever want to talk about it, I'm here for you, buddy <3 Zane, completely checked out and highkey disassociating to cope: ~aruba, jamaica, ooh i wanna take ya, bermuda, bahama, come on pretty mama~

It will never not be funny to me how in Shadow of Ronin Lloyd had, like, emo hair. Full on hair over one eye. Sitting in a volcano by himself and MeditatingTM all day. Probably listening to MCR. Iconic.

Kai gets a tattoo dedicated to Zane after he dies in season 3 and its like “Zane Julien A friend to the end 😔” (emoji included) with Zanes date of death and when Zane comes back he has to go back to the tattoo artist and have them cross out the date. he gets a new date of death each time zane dies and has to go get them to cross it out every time and Jay thinks its hilarious

Wait anon lemme get this straight, im with kid lloyd, and pixal, who did not exist until after lloyd was aged up, (because the timeline is fake) (unless you’re saying that like aged up late-teens lloyd is crying abt candy, if so, fair)

For your answer tho, i am joining pixal in doing the whale sounds (though it does feel very out of character for her🤔), and like, i’d tell lloyd i’ll get him fuckloads of candy from like costco (but i will not)
