Summer makes me a little homesick, in a strange way. Growing up, I spent most of my summers pretty frivolously, assuming I went out at all. I was so miserable back then— I didn’t ever have friends that stayed. I annoyed people more often than not, so most of my time was spent with me rotting in my bed or at the gas station a few blocks from my school when my parents kicked me out for the day.

Seeing the sun fight the Gotham smog just gives me a weird yearning for solitude and old habits, now. I’m not sure how to handle it in a way that won’t end with me being depressed again.

Living in Gotham is a very very special thing. It’s a beautiful morning. I made some coffee, opened my dorm window to lean out it aesthetically, and a rogue fell from the roof at just the right moment to knock the cup out of my hands. Thank you for that one, Signal. We love you, but… my coffee…. I even made milk foam :,)
