The Albertan Burger is a hearty and flavorful burger featuring a juicy beef patty infused with barbecue sauce and Worcestershire sauce, topped with melted cheddar cheese and classic burger fixings. It's a delicious taste of Alberta, perfect for a summer barbecue or any casual meal.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1/4 cup breadcrumbs. 1/4 cup grated onion. 1/4 cup barbecue sauce. 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce. 1/2 tsp garlic powder. 1/2 tsp salt. 1/4 tsp black pepper. 4 slices cheddar cheese. 4 hamburger buns. Lettuce, tomato, onion slices for topping. Additional barbecue sauce for topping.
Instructions: In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated onion, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined. Form mixture into 4 patties. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Grill patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness is reached. During the last minute of cooking, top each patty with a slice of cheddar cheese. Toast hamburger buns on the grill if desired. Assemble burgers by placing lettuce, tomato, and onion slices on the bottom bun, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese. Drizzle additional barbecue sauce over the patty if desired, then top with the other half of the bun. Serve hot and enjoy!
