Luna tracked time through Ginny’s hair. Ginny at eleven years old, red hair peeking out from the brim of the sorting hat. So vibrant against her pale face as she fell deeper under the spell of an enchanted diary.  At twelve, the red of her hair almost matching her blush when she charmed a Valentine.  At thirteen, her braids whipping around the Quidditch pitch, Luna watching from the stands where she worked on homework.  At fourteen, hair falling into her eyes as they brewed a Distraction Potion together, Luna chopping mint leaves, Ginny stirring clockwise, counterclockwise. Ginny at fifteen: a cascading red ponytail and laughing dark eyes, with half the school in love with her. Flying on Thestrals to the Ministry of Magic, her hair tangling in the wind.  At sixteen, hair in the French braids that Luna wove at night, tendrils and whirls of hair that escaped as they slept curled together in the sleeping loft.  At seventeen, with Harry’s fingers idly twirling the ends of her ponytail as they all studied in the library.  At eighteen, hair as long and as wet as a mermaid, making tea in the kitchen after a shower at Grimmauld Place.

4 years after graduation wasn’t long enough for Filch to forget the silhouette of a spidery student skulking around in the dark.

I saw a post (can’t remember by whom) that said something along the line of Snape probably getting mistaken for a student by Argus Filch when he first started teaching at Hogwarts. I thought it was funny, so I put it into a drawing🌝

The new job is going well so far. How are you? How are you finding your new Scrying class with Mme. Martin? If you need any help, have Maman send my old notebook, because I took excellent notes.

On a different note, do you remember Bill Weasley? We met him at the last task. He has long red hair, and an earring? He's Harry Potter's friend's brother. He works at Gringotts too, as a curse-breaker. He comes in every now and then, and yesterday he brought me a coffee. He's really cute!!

Luna and Ginny hanging out in the Ravenclaw common room one sunny spring day in their third year. Luna's reading Ella Enchanted because she loves Gail Carson Levine's works !!!! She's not afraid to lean into her inner child even at the big age of fourteen. Ginny came over to see if she wanted to go swimming, but Luna needed to finish her chapter first.
