I don't think that's what he said but this characterization is so prevalent that I'm gonna have to go reread Nations and Nationalism Since 1780

it is impossible to watch a movie. every night i think i want to watch a movie. no movie gets watched. because it's not possible

and yet they keep making movies with the hopes that one day humanity will discover a way to watch them. it's so inspiring

I've had this fairphone for four years and in that time I've replaced a battery, the charging port and the display. I just wonder if it adds up in terms of sustainability. Like at what point if i keep buying new parts may I as well have bought an entire new phone?

#and like yeah I am The Phone Dropper #but also it's not a very good phone i think #the camera isn't good. it runs on a buncha google apps.#and like half a year ago there was a software update that just fucked everything up and they haven't fixed it
