Height comparison between Iceman, Goose, and Maverick

Iceman, a dapple gray thoroughbred. His owner/rider is Tom Kazansky. He does barrel racing and pole bending

Hes a very grumpy and sassy horse, always pinning his ears back and glaring at people. Hes nice with Tom and Ron though. Slider is probably one of the few horses he actually gets along with really well. Theyre besties. He gets along with Nick and Goose, and probably is friends with Goose but usually is meaner towards Goose because he's always with Maverick. He doesn't like Pete and Maverick. He'll bite and kick Maverick and pick fights with him, and tries to bite and kick Pete but he's good about keeping his distance from Ice and blocking him from biting or kicking. Maverick is nosy and attention seeking so it's his own fault he's getting bitten and kicked HAHAH. Eventually Iceman does warm up to Pete and Maverick and will only glare at them instead of attacking

Goose, a chestnut quarter horse. His owner/rider is Nick Bradshaw (Carole and Bradley would sometimes ride him too). He does cattle cutting and team roping (with Pete and Maverick)

He's the complete opposite of Iceman. He's a total sweetheart and loves attention. He'd be the perfect lesson horse actually. Hes very quiet and has good manners. I like to think that he had sorta bad manners like Iceman and Maverick, but when Nick found out Carole was pregnant started to retrain Goose to have good manners. He wasn't going to have his horse being disrespectful to his kid. If Goose is out in the pasture with Maverick he is very chaotic and squirrelly but the moment anyone comes up to them hes behaving very well. Hes actually pretty protective of Bradley and won't let Maverick be weird and chaotic around him

I'm putting his + Nicks accident under the cut as I will mention animal death + injury

At one rodeo, during Nicks and Petes run in team roping, a piece of equipment broke and fell (due to the people running the rodeo not keeping up to date with maintenance), and spooked Maverick and Goose. Maverick bolted and bucked, however Pete was able to stay on. Goose also bolted and bucked, but Nick was bucked off and Goose accidentally kicked him pretty hard, and he ended up falling into the fence. Goose also slipped and fell. Nick died from his injuries and Goose survived, but was permanently lame. Pete feels responsible for Nicks death and Gooses injury even though there wasn't anything he could have done

Goose was retired after his accident, and as he got older his lameness was catching up to him, so Carole eventually made the decision to have him euthanized
