I guess I should do an intro post so I can pin it lol:

I’m Ick, it’s short for Icarus, it’s not my actual name or my dead name.

I use They/Them/Theirs pronouns. (I also like Fae/Faer/Faers and Ze/Zir/Zirs but I don’t really use them all that often.)

I’m Genderfluid and Nonbinary, though I usually just say Nonbinary cause I never hit the binary side of the spectrum.

I’m legally aloud to drink alcohol on the USA and I live in a very very conservative state.

I’m out to my parents but they are unsupportive.

I have some mlm posts back in my feed on here, I posted/reposted them when I thought I was a trans guy not nb, so please disregard them.

I’m AroAce, technically Romance Positive Aromantic and GreyAsexual. I absolutely adore romance and I do want to date and get married someday.

I have a nsfw side blog and a fandom ship side blog that I won’t be tagging but if you find them feel free to say hi.

I actually just realized I was aroace this year! I’m not out yet, but I want to be someday.

I figured it out thanks to a lot of different posts here on tumblr! So I wanted to say thank you to you all for sharing your experiences; if you hadn’t, I probably would still be stuck wondering!

I saw for, like, the third time in a week someone asking how an aroace person could be lesbian so I think it's time for a reminder:

Aroace people can identify as gay/lesbian/bi/any other orientation because being aroace doesn't mean that you don't feel any kind of attraction! It means you are both on the aromantic spectrum and on the asexual spectrum, which means that:

1. You feel little to no sexual and romantic attraction, id est, you can be aroace and feel sexual or romantic attraction sometimes: for example someone can be aromantic graysexual and feel sexual attraction toward people regardless of they gender, therefore, they could identify as pan aroace.

2. You can feel other kinds of attraction, like aesthetic, platonic or alterous attraction (this is not an exhaustive list), and if some of these attractions are important enough, you can decide to include it in your identity and your orientation, it's exactly what being an oriented aroace means: for example if an aroace man feels strong platonic and aesthetic attraction toward other men he may identify as a gay (oriented) aroace.
