Another newcomer. It had grown so commonplace for him after a few months that he didn't get bothered by it so much anymore. After all, he had been in this exact spot not too long ago.

Tilting his head to greet the one asking for his help.

"Sure, I don't mind pointing out a few of the things about this place for you."

He pulls out his phone. Bringing up a document that he had started keeping for himself. Explaining the different wards and what could be found in each. Showing the names of interesting shops and food places. Explaining housing and how dust worked. Not assuming that the other would know how any of it worked.

"Oh, pardon me, my name is Geto. You can find everyone living here on the contact list on this device. Here is my name. If you need anything, feel free to shoot me a message. I haven't been here as long as some others, but I don't mind learning with you."

A little sigh of relief escapes him and he shuffles a bit closer to the other man - Geto - nodding his head along with every piece of information he's given. He probably won't remember all of it, but he's going to try his best to commit as much of it to memory he can. At the very least...he'll remember the things about interesting shops and restaurants.

Even if he forgot details, places like that would be able to help him if he got lost along the way.

"Thank you so much, Mr. Geto! That's really a huge help...I'll make sure to find you in the contacts list later then!"

"Oh- and, my name is Hakuri! It's nice to meet you...though you haven't been here long either? How long have you been here...and...what's as long as other people if that's the case?"

For the amount of time Jill had been here average normal encounters tended to be a rarity. And if they did last longer then the more likely something absolutely absurd would happen. It was common place back home but here it managed to stretch far beyond anything she could've ever seen.

Yet that was just the type of job she knew she signed up for. Dealing with that was basically the existence of a bartender, even when she wasn't on shift. It almost managed to become a lifestyle for her even if the idea of being someone's go to for assistance really didn't sound too appealing. Still when the individual who clearly wasn't supposed to be in an establishment like this at their age with a question Jill didn't immediately kick him out. Maybe she was getting far softer then she thought...

"Not for another hour or two. What do you need though?"

"Oh, good! I'd hate to be that guy that pops in at the last second..."

What a relief that the bartender seemed friendly too...he had definitely had his fair share of wandering into unwelcoming establishments. Probably ones that belonged to other crime families but, well, what could you do? There were plenty of lineages that controlled different aspects of the city back home.

It was a nice change of pace here. Not having to worry about getting himself in trouble like that.

"I just got here! So I was just wondering if you had any information to share about this place? Or...if you could point me in the direction of someone that could help out!"

"You." Rafal approached the young man, face drawn seriously neutral. Perhaps just slightly too dire for the question he intended, but it fades as he gets a closer look at the person before him.

"...I was going to ask you for the nearest apothecary, but It seems to me you are even more lost. Do you need help?"

Hakuri feels himself stiffen when he's approached in a serious-seeming way, both out of surprise and habit. You. Him? Did he do something? He hadn't really been paying attention to where he was wandering...and that had gotten him in trouble before.

But...he relaxes quickly, same as the other person does when they approach him, and is relieved at his misunderstanding of the situation.

"Apothecary...? Wow, I didn't think those types of stores were around in a place like this," he comments, before laughing awkwardly and lifting a hand to rub at the back of his neck.

"Uh! No...? I don't think so. Honestly, I was just...wandering. I'm new here so I'm trying to figure out where pretty much anything is."

𝟎 "Mm... I don't really know any samurai. I mean, I know what a samurai is." That was the weird thing about her amnesia. Anything important about the world had been forgotten, but she still remembered useless, fundamental things. Maybe it was just so she could function in normal society...

But then again, the amnesia probably wasn't picking and choosing what was affected.

"Full transparency: I'm suffering from very severe amnesia. It's possible I've met one before and just can't remember. But are you one? I guess I could say I've met one now?"

Amnesia...? He knew of it, but he had never actually met someone that had it. She knew what samurai were still at least but...

No sight of his samurai then, huh?

That was fine. He could manage on his own without Chihiro! Definitely! He had been doing so before, and it'd probably make the other boy's life way easier if he was able to gather information to give when he did make an appearance.

"Huh- me?"

"No way! I'm not nearly cool enough to be a samurai...I don't even really know how to use a sword. But maybe...we could find some samurai here together! If you've never seen one before, then you definitely need to!"

In his time wandering the city back home, after he left home, Hakuri had found that bars had always been a good place to pick up odd jobs or gather information. Even if he couldn't drink, most places were diverse enough that he could just get a quick bite to eat or a soda, instead of taking up time and space from the business.

Now that he thinks about it...Hinao ran a cafe that was just a front for exchanging information, didn't she? Maybe there'd be a place like that that here too.

This bar seemed cozy enough, pushing open the door and glancing around. It wasn't too busy at the moment, but it was an odd hour he was wandering in. Hopefully they didn't mind him being in here without being of drinking age.

"Sorry for popping in! Are you open? I just wanted to see if I could ask some questions."

Hakuri finds his head spinning as he wanders the streets, taking in all the sights and sounds of this new city. He was barely used to cities in the first place - it felt like he had only just been getting his feet on the ground and starting a good stride when he found himself...

...here?

Wherever...here was. He didn't really get it still, what this place was, how he wound up here...or even how to get around! Really, it shouldn't be this hard to navigate somewhere. He'd probably be better off asking for help and, thankfully, he could spot someone wearing familiar enough looking clothes nearby. Maybe they'd be helpful!

"Uh...excuse me! I just got here and I'm still trying to find my way around. Could you lend me a hand...?"
