Może ja jestem stary maruda, ale mi (proszę to odnotować!) cały koncept nawet jednej nowej adaptacji Lalki jest nie w smak, a co dopiero dwóch.

Nie potrzebuję w moim spokojnym fandomie tłumu krzykaczy, tony editów z Dorocińskim, ani tego Belle Epoque-coded sztucznie feministycznego paskudztwa z Creep grającym w tle od Netflixa. Podziękuję za cały ten blichtr, za paradę wszystkich znanych w Polsce aktorów, za tę jedną hiper-zachodnią wersję z Łęcką wpychającą sobie tort do gardła i za Rzeckiego z reklamy banku.

Te adaptacje są jedynie kontynuacją trendu na tworzenie nowych wersji polskich klasyków, tam, gdzie stare trzymają się świetnie. Te nowe narobią szumu i znikną, a Kamas zostanie. I Znachora innego nie puszczą w Święta. I żadna inna Barbara Niechcic nie zawoła "Bogumił!". I o Jagnie z tamtej barwnej wydmuszki też wszyscy zapomną (może zresztą już zapomnieli).

Nie bronię im robić, ale już ja na tych godach nie będę. Znaczy, obejrzę, oczywiście... Ale będę bardzo marudził (to też proszę odnotować!).

Niechaj będzie odnotowane raz na zawsze, że każdy mój fick z Lalki inspirowany jest książką Prusa i wersją z Kamasem.

Proszę mnie w ogóle zostawić w spokoju!

I would totally do it, but my soulmate is away and they are in possession of high-quality Demons TV series. So I don't have it now and have like 0 capacity to try to get it on my own. yesterday there was this meeting with cast and crew of our JSC version, the one i keep ranting about here constantly. and after the meeting, which was amazingly looooong with all of them joking, and all that banter going on, we had silent disco run by Herod Queen herself (best DJ ever) with the cast and crew dancing with us, chatting with ppl. and myself with group of fans did their Hosanna choreography when DJ Herod put the song on. and Jesus started singing his part looking at us from above. what a fandom wet dream is going on here?! did that really happen or was it just a dream? can't wait for another show in March. now i also know they will keep going with shows in September, too, and that they may possibly who knows record a CD. need March now. As I'm obviously not done with my lonely Doctor Zhivago phase, I have just been digging into dates in the book for *reasons* and my research strongly suggests that at the time Pasha and Lara first met... He is c. 12 y.o. and she is c. 16 and looks older (around 18, as it is emphasised)... Yura is probably 12 or 14 at the time, but that's irrelevant here (in 1901 he is 8-10 so in 1905 he is 12-14).

What is relevant... Larissa Fyodorovna is literally grooming the poor boy. 😭 How did I come to this conclusion? Around 1905 it is clearly stated in the book that Lara is 16 (war with Japan is not yet over and protests start so it is around 1904-1905) and Pasha is clearly described as a child then; playful, very unaware during a manifestation around October 1905, referred to as a child by Tiverzina, innocent all together. Can't imagine language Pasternak used here to be used for description of boy older than 12. Well, he cannot possibly be older than 12! Tbh, he acts younger, but let's pretend he's 12. Well, I guessed that he is younger than her by the way she treats him, but now that gives a whole new perspective. 🙈 I mean, 4 or even 5 years is nothing when you are in your mid-20s, but before that... Now the fact that she was kinda manipulating him as she noticed the influence she has on him makes it somewhat worse. And look how different it is in the movie as she is 17 and he is 26 there... Like, dynamics shifts hard here.
