𝗪𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥  𝗣𝗔𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗟𝗦  𝗪𝗘𝗥𝗘  𝗔𝗟𝗪𝗔𝗬𝗦  𝗧𝗛𝗘  𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗦𝗧.  no  matter  how  prepared  you  believed  you  were  ,  gotham  always  found  a  way  to  be  much  ,  much  colder  than  you  were  expecting  it  to  be.  it  was  moments  like  there  where  tim  was  thankful  for  adding  pants  to  the  robin  costume  (  and  seriously  questions  why  neither  dick  or  jason  had  thought  to  do  so  earlier  )  as  he  was  perched  next  to  @agcraphobic  ,  cape  wrapped  tightly  around  himself. 

he  thought  he  was  doing  a  great  job  at  hiding  his  shivering  ,  hoping  the  insulation  of  his  own  cape  would  be  enough  to  let  him  survive  the  rest  of  this  stake  out  without  drawing  too  much  attention  to  himself.  it  wasn't  until  he  felt  something  heavier  drape  around  his  shoulders  and  be  shuffled  closer  to  bruce's  body  did  he  realize  how  poorly  concealed  his  misery  actually  was.  the  new  robin  blinked  rather  dumbly  at  the  larger  cape  that  wrapped  around  him  ,  almost  instantly  feeling  the  warmth  seep  into  his  bones.  tilting  his  head  up  toward  batman  ,  tim  was  shocked  to  discover  the  man  wasn't  looking  at  him  at  all  ,  still  focused  on  the  target  ahead.   the  smallest  of  smiles  graced  robin's  face  as  he  burrowed  deeper  into  the  protection  of  the  cape  ,  returning  to  his  own  diligent  watch  of  the  target  ahead.

while i do personally get annoyed whenever the fandom is like ' tim blackmailed his way into being robin ' ' he forced batman to make him robin ' because , no , tim being robin was his absolute last choice , the fact that tim chose robin is still something very important to him , and something he does take value in. he will tell people he chose to become robin ( because he did to an extent ) but he never forced bruce to make him robin , never force dick to take him to bruce or the batcave , and never forced anyone to accept him as robin even after he put on the costume and went out to help

i do truly mean it that no matter what happens , tim would never , and i do mean never be able to hate dick. at least in any serious and long term capacity. teasingly? absolutely. he can absolutely feel betrayed and hurt by him , but actually hate him? impossible

Eyes narrowed at the stretch but internally Kon was already planning on getting his TTK into those muscles soon. Body shifted to lower enough that Tim's shorter frame could pull him closer. Rao, each passing year his love grew more handsome. No, don't get distracted. He needed a good scolding. "I can and will blame you. Being cute won't get you away from punishment." Teased while enveloping each other up in their arms. A firm kiss pressing against that silky, straight hair on top before scoffing. "That's all I'm worth? A single minute?" when the boy moves closer towards him it is like instinct for him to step back. eyes smudged in black from sweat and a hard night's work completely avoid tim's gaze as if poisonous. he doesn't need to face him head on to know that look in his eyes, one that he himself has used on others when he was suspicious of them. tim has every right to pry; this involves his father and his mentor, and there seemed to be some kind of history between the two men. a history that bruce wishes stayed history.

bruce takes a deep breath in holding it to regulate his heart's rate as he feels it beating against his ribcage. " we were already given his blessing to continue your training, i just don't think there's any more of a reason to continue discussing. " his answer seems so empty. secretive. for the first time he struggled for words. " i don't want to go poking the bear. ...i need robin by my side. "

𝗧𝗛𝗘  𝗗𝗘𝗧𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗘  𝗜𝗡  𝗛𝗜𝗠  𝗪𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗗  𝗧𝗢  𝗞𝗘𝗘𝗣  𝗣𝗨𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚  ,  wanted  to  find  out  the  source  of  bruce's  avoidance  whenever  the  topic  of  his  father  was  brought  up.  however  ,  the  logical  part  of  his  brain  overruled  that  desire  ,  knowing  trying  to  push  the  topic  wasn't  going  to  end  well  for  tim  (  last  thing  he  wanted  was  to  have  another  adult  figure  in  his  life  walking  on  egg  shells  around  him.  ) 

there  was  a  small  pout  of  a  frown  on  his  lips  as  he  analyzed  the  words  ,  understanding  where  bruce  was  coming  from  but  truly  hating  the  tension  between  the  two.  “  alright  ,  i  won't  bring  up  dad  .  .  .  ”  the  words  dragged  ,  the  young  boy's  thoughts  getting  away  from  him  before  he  could  even  attempt  to  stop  them.  “  the  way  you  two  talk  about  each  other  ,  it  feels  like  there's  something  else  between  you  guys  besides  me  just  being  robin.  ”

tim is very publicly open about being bi ? partially because he doesn't like the idea of having to hide his relationship even more from people because it's considered queer or not. honestly it worked out mostly well for him , especially because i think gotham is a very progressive type of city. he doesn't want people to think he's ashamed of dating them because they're male , he just likes to keep his relationships on the down low and his partners out of the public as much as he can. he came out as bi long before he started dating someone of the male gender to just like , get that out of the way so his partner wasn't caught up in a shit storm of him being outed and the media wanting to know more.
