Part of what makes Sam’s soulless arc so interesting for me is watching Dean be constantly irritated at having to do all the emotional labor of their job that he usually expects Sam to do as a wordless expectation. It’s a skill that he’s completely taken for granted up until the one doing it suddenly can’t/won’t. And not only that, it’s a skill that Dean has relentlessly made fun of the real Sam for, seeing it as emasculating to empathize with another human being.

But what happens when the one non-asshole of the team quits? What then? Oh, it’s hard to talk to witnesses now that Sam’s not doing the “wussy crap” for you? Is it hard, Dean? Are you irritated that your nagging work wife has stopped asking you how you’re feeling all the time as your unpaid therapist? Feeling neglected? 🥺 Emotionally drained? 🥺

Give me at least one reason to feel sorry for him if, in any situation for Sam it ends with a beating by Dean or a gun pointed at him.

I’m just irrealistically angry, not only with the fandom but also with the writers who constantly try to justify this attitude towards Sam on Dean’s part and think it’s normal. Sam is an eternal villain, but for what reason - he is systematically beaten or intimidated by Dean. Everyone is talking about Dean’s traumas , how bad he suffered, but no one admits the fact that Sam suffered twice. And by the hand of John, and by the hand of his elder brother. So i`m sorry, Dean’s fans, if I don’t check your profile and criticize the shit that the writers of that damn show have produced. Sam once fought back and he’s a traitor and a monster, but Dean systematically beats up Sam, and for some reason - there will always be excuses.

I’m so pissed

Someone made this video talking about how abusive the boys are to eachother. And I agree their relationship is NOT healthy. But then this girl was going for every Sam defender in the comments saying they were pathetic and obnoxious and wrong for saying Sam was less physically abusive and emotionally abusive than Dean.

First of all. Objectively untrue. Second. I was just so angry. She said she counted 22 from Dean and 17 from Sam. But refused to give context for any. If anyone has better memory than I I’d love to hear it but I’m pretty darn sure Dean has more of a habit of punching Sam in the face than Sam does. Sam I believe does it three times total. Plus Dean is SO MUCH MORE emotionally and physically abusive. Idk.

Like. Ohhhhh he makes me so angry
